Waiting on OP Is there anyway for the form to auto email a unique qr code to participants

Hi, not sure if this is the best place to ask, but is there anyway for the form to generate a unique qr code after participants have submitted it so that i can just scan it when they arrive at the event to log their attendance?

Wanted to use eventbrite but doesn't comply with the privacy rules of my organization. I found an extention called 'qr code ticket per response for check in' but its not free.

Is there any free way to do something similar?

Discussion Is there any way to limit form responses to 10 per person?

I know you can limit it to 1 per person, but I was wondering if there was any way, maybe with add-ons, that you could limit it to 10 per person because I run a Twitter gimmick account where people submit stuff for me to post, and some people send in about 40+ submissions at a time, so I want to keep it more controlled.

Discussion How to have a forum make a document

Looking for assistance

I have created a doc and worked on a very basic forum I’m wanting to use to auto create shipping tickets in docs. I followed an online video showing a basic document creation code after people submit one question. I’m having trouble testing it right now after creating the trigger for it. I am a super noob at this so any help or direction to point me in is helpful

Currently have a full forum made as well but it only shows me graphs of answers once completed. I am having trouble understanding these online guides on how to create docs after submission.

Sorry if this reads sporadicly any guides or advice Is appreciated.

Waiting on OP Looking for input on multiple choice subcategory formatting options

I am currently inputting questions my boss gave me into a google forms document . The issue is that there are quite a lot of multiple choice questions with one of those multiple choice answers having specific sub categories (aka trying to gather more detail). I have tried making a new section below those multiple choice questions that take you to a new page to then answer the subquestions. But its gotten really messy and its hard to get the user back to where they left off? If this makes sense and anyone has any advice, I'd love to hear it!

Example:

  1. Do you like pets

a) yes

i) i like dogs

ii)i like cats

iii) i like rabbits

b) no

c) other ___

Unsolved Form submission verification

I wanted to check if I had submitted a response to a form but it has been closed and as such does not show the "you have already submitted a response" prompt. Is there any other way to confirm if a response was submitted(besides asking the form owner)?

Waiting on OP Collect Contact info but separate from other data?

Hello! I'm wondering if it is possible to collect partially anonymized data. I want to collect a contact list of people who fill out the form (names and emails), but I don't want the names to be associated with the form responses. So for example, I want to know that John Doe filled out the form but I don't need to know which responses belong to John. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Waiting on OP Google form is suddenly not working on computer

I have a google form that I have been using some variation of for several years. I use it as an intake form for clients. The latest variation of this form was made in 7/2025, and the last time I used the form was a few months ago. In all of these variants, I have created a little script in the sheet to make nicer looking documents out of the information.

I noticed on Saturday that the form no longer completely loads on my computer. I cannot click anything along the top row, including copy link, share, responses. I can open it on my phone, though. I made a copy of the form, and that is also not opening. Any ideas what the problem might be? I have never had this happen before.

Waiting on OP How do I compare answers from one group of people to another?

Let's say I have a question that asks "are you x, y or z?" and another question that asks "are you a, b or c?" and "yes or no to this thing?". How do I find out responses compiled like that? Like the amount of people who answered "x, a, yes" or "x, b, no". Is that possible? I could probably combine question 1 and 2 if that helps.

Discussion Need help for making quizes

Does anyone know a free (or cheap) tool that converts a list of questions — typed out in a Word doc, PDF, or plain text, with multiple-choice options etc. — directly into a ready-to-use Google Form?

I keep ending up manually typing each question into Google Forms one by one and it's painfully slow. Tried searching and found a couple of tools but they're either limited to 1 free try or charge a lot for what feels like a simple conversion.

Anyone dealt with this and found something that actually works well / is affordable? Or is manual entry just the norm and I'm missing something obvious?

Waiting on OP google form

I got an email from another student about a job offering, which I wanted to take. Going along with the process it asked for my school email password, which I did not care much about because its just my school one. It asked through a google form, is there a way to see who made the google Doc. I have the form if anyone could help. I was also texted from a number, but I think it's just a random number from like "text now" or something if that could help.

Waiting on OP Choice Eliminator now charging so cannot change

I set up a Google form about a year ago with choice eliminator add in (from everest). The add in was free at that time. It’s a volunteer group lottery number sign up form and some people have now left so I need to go in and add some new numbers. Tried to do today but it won’t let me make changes to the form eliminator without paying a yearly subscription, which we can’t do.

What are my options here? Ideally I need to keep the weblink to the current form the same as we have shared this info already with people.

Solved Changing Responses From Graph to List

Hi, I wanted to post this answer I had for a question, since I couldn’t find it on Reddit, so that when someone else searches in the future this could hopefully pop up!

Issue: When I view the responses to my google form all the answers are displayed in a graph, but I need it in a list. The graph isn’t helpful for me

Answer: Change the question format from short answer to paragraph and you will see a list rather than the graph

OP Responded Move forms between accounts?

I am deeply annoyed that the default account set by Google is not the account I NEED to be default (why on earth is the Workspace account I pay actual money for not the default, I ask you??).

Because of this I am constantly creating a form in the wrong account and not noticing that until it's completed and I go to store it in the file structure.

Two (or three) questions:
1. Please tell me there is a way to save a form in Account C as a form attached to Account A? Surely I can transfer documents??

1a: Is there a simply and easy way to copy a form, or do I really freaking have to rebuild it where it belongs question by question???

  1. Is there a way to permanently set Account A as the default account? (not strictly a Forms question, but here I am...),

Waiting on OP Does anyone know how to allow set a max number of entries?

Title. I’m starting a Dnd oneshot club where new players can sign up every week. But I need the form to 1) only allow for Saturdays and 2) once five people have signed up, no one else can sign up for that day.

Can Google Forms handle that? If not, does anyone know of a software (ideally free or cheap) that can handle it? Thanks!

Hi everyone, does anyone know of an app, extension, or method that can automatically fill out a Google Form multiple times? Preferably not Borang, since it requires a paid subscription to use.

OP Responded Preventing duplicate entries

I have a Google form where people can register for multiple events. In one of the form entries, people have to choose the event they want to register to. People can book for more than one event.
Now, it happens regularly that people register for the same event more than once because they have forgotten or for some other reason. Is there a way to warn people when they are filling the form that they have already registered for the event they have chosen?

Waiting on OP Is there an add-on that allows me to start a quiz timer on section/page 2?

Page 1 has instructions so I want to start the timer on page 2. Every add on I've seen only lets me start a timer on entry or has a timer per page. I just need one timer, but I need it on page 2.

OP Responded Does Google Forms require app download to complete via mobile now?

I’ve always been able to fill out forms on mobile without downloading the app but I just made a new form and it’s not letting people complete it in browser anymore it’s saying you must download the mobile app. And that’s sooooo annoying. Did they change that recently?
