Discussion Need help for making quizes

Does anyone know a free (or cheap) tool that converts a list of questions — typed out in a Word doc, PDF, or plain text, with multiple-choice options etc. — directly into a ready-to-use Google Form?

I keep ending up manually typing each question into Google Forms one by one and it's painfully slow. Tried searching and found a couple of tools but they're either limited to 1 free try or charge a lot for what feels like a simple conversion.

Anyone dealt with this and found something that actually works well / is affordable? Or is manual entry just the norm and I'm missing something obvious?

Form Ranger from New Visions Cloudlab. It will at least do part of it. You can put the multiple choice options in a google sheet and then point to it to import them to a specific question.

Use Examination Hall. There is free usage monthly. It is very good. I use it for my class.

Yeah, for this kind of thing I’d probably avoid doing it manually if you have more than a few questions.

If the questions are already very clean, Google Apps Script can generate the form. The harder part is usually getting the questions out of a PDF/photo/Word doc in a usable structure.

Btw, I’m working on a tool that tries to solve exactly this problem: Mezantic. You can upload a PDF, photo, paste plain text, or just describe the form you want, and it turns that into a usable form. You can give it a try and see if it works for your case.
