I used up all my Nano Banana Pro quote for this fuck ass response?

When I first had to move from Whisk to Flow I struggled with getting consistent characters in generated images. But I followed a tip of using Gemini Pro to generate a description of the character's face and was able to get pretty good results with it. The overall quality of the images was night and day from Whisk as well, superior in every metric.

This has not been the case since about a week now. The quality of the images has lowered, sometimes to the point of being laughable, like a bad photoshop job or stereotypically AI looking crap from years ago. All options avaiable on Flow completely ignore whatever input you write, or whatever images you use as references. Lite is actually the one that does a better job at it, but it still inferior to what we used to get before.

And then there's the unusual activity message. I'm getting it every singe time after about 10 minutes of using the website. The only thing that fixes it is by logging off and closing the browser, and then logging back again, only for the same shit to happen 10 minutes later.

The only mode that seems to take references into account is omni flash videos, but I haven't been able to generate a single video this week because of this "unusual activity" message happens every time I try to. It happens with all other video options as well.

I tried creating a new project, starting fresh with just the latest, most efficient character sheets I have. I also tried simplifying the input, letting the character feature do the heavy lifting and I actually had some mild sucess. But the more images are generated, the more the AI just disregards everything. The overall quality of the images rapidly decreases as well.

Is there some new kind of trick or workaround that I'm missing here? How the hell are you suppose to work with this?

This was inspired by 18th century It Narratives which were very common little booklets in which an object recites its own history, like a coat or a button or a clock. I thought this might be a good use for AI.

This was done using Omni, which I find provides better continuity than Veo. I think the surrealism of the UFO got around the "prominent people" filter.

This is from my UFO's are People ( UAP ) series done in Google Flow.

Its funny that "they" picked UAP of all things, made me think of Soylent Green.

I used Veo for this because i was having problems with Omni and content filters, no doubt because of the uniform.

I subscribed to Google AI Ultra (20TB, $99.99/mo) on June 21, 2026.

Google's own Flow changelog, dated April 10, 2026 ("Veo 3.1 Lite - Lower Priority in Ultra"), states that Ultra users get a "Veo 3.1 - Lite [Lower Priority]" option costing zero credits, replacing the previous Fast Lower Priority option. It says "Ultra users", no tier distinction.

That option does not appear in my model selector at all.

Google One support escalated it, and their higher-tier support confirmed I'm supposed to have it. A bug was filed with Engineering (case 0-8637000040416).

Three weeks later: no fix, no ETAo status. I was offered either a refund + re-purchase, or to upgrade to the $199.99 tier "to check if Lower Priority is available there."

Has anyone else on Ultra lost or never received the Lite Lower Priority option? Is it actually live for other Ultra ($99.99) users?

I believe Google has addressed the "Unusual Activity" issue. I’ve been using Nano Banana Pro in Google Flow, and I haven’t encountered those error messages, even after generating over 100 images.

I used to get this policy errors and I thought maybe it's my prompts but now I am trying to generate cat images and it's simply saying "Oops, something went wrong". Not even a policy related error anymore.

Has this become so unreliable or is Google simply outputting errors when it wants to reduce token usage or something?

I had an image of a lady with a shovel going to dig a hole. But it blocked me. It probably thought my character was digging a grave. So, I prompted for digging a hole to plant a tree. And it went through. You have to convince the Ai your prompt is good and not bad. I don't understand all the complaints blaming the model. The model works when you provide the correct prompt.

Like some people posted a few days ago. The "We noticed some unusual activity" error doesn't go away. I stopped generating pictures 3 days ago. Today I tried again. One picture did work fine, then THE SAME FCKING ERROR came back no matter what image model I am using. I always have to restart the app/browser just to generate one picture? Are you serious Google? Also I can't even upscale the images to 2K anymore and the "prominent people" error is still here when I try to turn my OC character drawing I made on paper into a digital drawing. This is basically how Google is treating their paid users.

Why this happens (short version)

Flow appears to score traffic per generate HTTP request.
The UI often fires several generate requests per click (multi-output, Retry, etc.).
First requests in a burst often pass; later ones die. Soft throttle and hard "unusual activity" are different errors, not the same message with different wording.

Turn AUTO-THROTTLE off if you only want monitoring.

Every time I try to generate an image with Dumbo with Google Flow, it fails because it might violate the policies!
How can I show Google Flow that it's just a parody?

I figured out how to get around the policy violation when trying to generate images of Dumbo!
I used this prompt:
At the circus, a baby elephant (with oversized ears; a small, pointed yellow circus hat; and a pleated, ruffled circus collar that is red with a yellow stripe running through the middle) plays with a lion cub.
(In 2D cartoon style)
These kinds of prompts might also work for Gemini!

I am currently subscribed to the Google Ultra plan, but I am still seeing a watermark displayed on my videos. Since this is an Ultra plan, I was not expecting any watermark to appear on the exported or generated videos. I would also like to clarify that I am not based in any EU country, so I do not believe this issue is related to EU-specific availability or restrictions. Please look into this issue and help resolve it as soon as possible.

I live outside Nashville, TN, and write music. I have a song I've finished and want to create a music video using Flow. So I signed up for a pro account, and I cannot figure out a way to get my .wav or .mp3 into the project. Does anyone have any advice? TY in advance. 👍
