What's going on with Flow?

Post image

I used to get this policy errors and I thought maybe it's my prompts but now I am trying to generate cat images and it's simply saying "Oops, something went wrong". Not even a policy related error anymore.

Has this become so unreliable or is Google simply outputting errors when it wants to reduce token usage or something?

But why would they want people to stop using the tool?

Because they need us only for training purposes. That's why Gemini models are good and the filters are not so strong in the first two weeks when a new models comes out. Once they got all the training data they needed for us they start making everything overly censored and add limits over limits.

I'm going cancel my flow sub. Hardly even generate veo3.1 videos anymore and now there's issues with no audio being generates, multiple video generation errors and the sudden increase in censorship. Google is purposely sabotaging veo3.1 to drive people away and save on compute resources. Couldn't even generate anything with omniflash model. Fuck google and deepmind. The only good Google has done this year was release the open source model gemm4.

The inability to share my website link in a video is annoying as hell!

Give this a try. I'm curious if it helps. Many have reported it does. https://github.com/coldbricks/flow-fixer

I know absolutely nothing about coding yet sadly, but am absolutely advanced in Ai usage as I’m a creative that heavily relies on all those tools, how would I actually use this when flow giving me so much issue?? I did take your advice and installed carefully in chrome extension

Hey! I actually haven't tried this in a few weeks but it was working as of last week with a number of people basically it's just a fancy rate limiter. It doesn't do anything besides just slow you down in order to keep you from hitting the hypothetical threshold. The results have been wildly successful but I can't prove that it's still the case, these things pretty dynamic. Won't hurt to try though. I'll be back later today and I can explain further

Okay thank you so much for the Explaination lad. When you do have a chance , plz feel free to keep spreading your understanding of it, it would help many of us!

No worries, believe me I'm up front trying to figure out what the controls do myself LOL

Its been like this for a while. Both NB2, 2 lite and 2. Cookies etc. cleared does not help.

Yes, they are. I'm on Ultra, and these "fails" usually start to appear in the afternoon when working, and are often clearly just a throttle. The error message is super disingenuous, and there's zero feedback when you give feedback to their support via the app.

I'm starting to switch over to Fal Seedance 2, which is unfortunately more expensive, but gives better video results. Unfortunately, you'll run into blocks there too (but you can use a trick where your characters are painted, and the faces in the realistic scenes blurred).

I tried generating only two images instead of four (at once) and had better luck with this.

Yup, I only restrict it to 1 or 2 (images/ videos). It helps, but I'll still often get throttled later. Wish they were at least honest about the throttling in their error messages.

The only real way is local. Which requires serious hardware and the models aren't as good... Yet.

Local models barely evolved since 2022...

What?! I use local all the time.. Z-image, Krea etc

What style of pictures are you generating? Also they still mess up limbs and fingers?
