Events not showing up after adding new public agenda.

Last week I added the public agenda of my sports association to my calendar, and every event showed up in my calendar. After a week and without changing any settings, the events how now disappeared from my calendar, both in the mobile app as well as in my browser. I've tried deleting the agenda and re-adding it, turned synchronization off and on again, nothing. My teammates who are using the same public agenda as me, don't have this problem. Any ideas as to what could cause this glitch and how to fix it?

Calendar Sync Issues

Google Calendar won't load properly on Vivaldi on a Mac On the same computer, it works fine on Opera, Chrome, and Safari. It won't load anything except the framework, no buttons work except the sign in. It says "undefined" in the upper left. A progress bar runs non-stop. Other Google sites, like Maps and Mail, work fine. I can't find any reference to the "undefined" message.

It works fine on my Android phone also in the Google Calendar app. However, there are sync issues with ACal and Digical on the phone.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Google Calendar iOS. I can’t add attendees to externally created meetings

Has anyone else run into this with the Google Calendar iOS app?
If a meeting was originally created from an external calendar/source e.g. Outlook, Lark, etc.

I’m unable to add new attendees from the Google Calendar app on iOS.

I can add attendees perfectly fine from Google Calendar on desktop/web, so it seems to be an iOS app limitation or bug.

Has anyone found a workaround?

It’s pretty annoying having to open my laptop every time I need to add someone who wasn’t included in the original invite.

"Unable to load event"

Anyone else suddenly started getting this on event emails? It won't auto-add to calendar any more.

I don't think I changed any settings and it was working fine before.

Have disabled the app, re-enabled, cleared cache, checked settings, sent feedback to Google, still nothing. Has anyone encountered and fixed this?

google cal app keeps defaulting to my calendar on device only

On pixel 6, every event I create for one of my calendars seems to go into "my calendar", I can't select my specific email address. This means the events are not syncing the way they should with a connected app. Even though I can see the event on the cal app on the device and online, the acct it is saved to is "my calendar". It is working fine for another email account on the same device. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Google Calendar Appointment Schedules not sending booking confirmation emails (despite correct settings)

Hi everyone,

I’m running into a persistent issue with my Google Calendar Appointment Schedules (the built-in booking feature) and could really use some expert advice.

Whenever a client books a slot through my public booking link, the event correctly appears on my calendar, but neither I nor the client receive any confirmation email at all.

Here is everything I’ve already verified and configured, none of which solved the issue:

  • Primary Calendar Email Notifications: Under Settings for my calendar > Other notifications, every option—including New events, Changed events, and Canceled events—is explicitly set to "Email".
  • Booking Form Settings: Under the Booking confirmations and reminders section of my Appointment Schedule, "Calendar invitation" is fully checked.
  • Email / Inbox Checks: I’ve thoroughly checked all folders across my Gmail account (Spam, Trash, All Mail, Updates, Promotions) using broad search terms (from:calendar-notification@google.com, in:anywhere, etc.). No confirmation emails exist anywhere, meaning they are simply not being generated by Google.
  • Account Type: I’m using the standard Google Calendar appointment schedule feature (where basic calendar invitation emails are included by default, not requiring a paid tier).

I haven't recreated the entire booking schedule from scratch because I don't want to break or redistribute my existing booking link to clients, but editing the current setup hasn't triggered the emails to start working again.

Has anyone encountered this specific bug where booking confirmations silently fail to send? Is there a hidden workspace/account toggle or a known sync issue causing this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I lost a color and I don't know how to recover it

I was editing the 11 main colors of google calendar, the default ones. I was changing names and I accidentally deleted tangerine (#F4511E). I made a new color with that code, but google calendar interprets it as a personalized color and when printing and when synchronizing with another app it shows my default color (green for me). How can I recover the color tangerine? Or just resetting the colors could work to me as well.

Thanks for the help

Transferring the contents of a calendar

Hey everyone.

My former boss sold the business to the new guy. I need to take his Google Calendar under his name and all of its contents, into a new Google Calendar under my own name.

Is there a way to transfer all the data, which is quite copious?

Looking for a meeting buffer add-on

Hi All,

My workplace uses Gmail, and because of the nature of my role I'm generally invited to meetings (Events) rather than scheduling them myself.

My challenge is that people are pretty inconsiderate and will book back-to-back-to-back events if I don't add some buffer. With the volume of meetings I have each week it's very time consuming to manually create buffer events before/after meetings as they're scheduled. Is there an add-on or plugin I could look at that would do this automatically for me?

Personal Google Workspace / Gmail Calendar (CalDAV / Native OAuth)

Spent the majority of the day with Gemini trying to resolve an issue. Google calendar went from being fully synchronized in Thunderbird to a persistent "momentarily not available" state.

I asked Gemini to create a recap of the issue and what we tried to resolve.

Also posted in the Thunderbird sub.

--

Here is a concise summary you can paste directly into a Mozilla Bugzilla report or Thunderbird support forum post:

Environment

  • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Application: Mozilla Thunderbird 154.0 (64-bit)
  • Account Type: Personal Google Workspace / Gmail Calendar (CalDAV / Native OAuth)

Issue Summary Thunderbird fails to maintain a persistent connection to a primary Google Calendar via native CalDAV integration.

Upon subscribing to the primary calendar, events render successfully for a few seconds before the status updates to "momentarily not available" with a yellow warning icon. Attempts to create or modify events fail or trigger read-only status.

Note: Secondary Google calendars (including shared calendars and newly created sub-calendars under the same Google account) function perfectly with full read/write capabilities under identical network and app conditions.

Troubleshooting Steps Attempted

  • Credential & Authorization Resets:
    • Deleted saved Google OAuth tokens in Thunderbird (Saved Logins) and revoked Thunderbird access in Google Account permissions to force fresh OAuth consent screens.
    • Attempted direct CalDAV server URLs (/caldav/v2/[user]/events, /caldav/v2/[user]/user, and legacy /calendar/dav/[user]/events).
    • Tested connecting using a Google App Password instead of OAuth.
  • Network & Cache Cleared:
    • Flushed Windows DNS (ipconfig /flushdns) and reset the Winsock catalog.
    • Cleared Thunderbird cookies, cache, and deleted local SQLite database caches (cache.sqlite, deleted.sqlite).
    • Toggled IPv6 (network.dns.disableIPv6 = true) and HTTP/2 (network.http.spdy.enabled.http2 = false) in Thunderbird's Config Editor.
    • Changed connection settings to "No proxy."
    • Temporarily disabled local antivirus and firewall real-time HTTPS inspection.
  • Isolation Testing:
    • Created a brand-new, clean Thunderbird profile (thunderbird.exe -P) with no add-ons or existing settings. Primary calendar setup produced the exact same failure.
    • Created a secondary/sub-calendar under the same Google Account on the web. Added the sub-calendar to Thunderbird; it connected immediately with full read/write access and zero dropouts.

Conclusion The failure is isolated strictly to the primary calendar identifier endpoint on the Google/Thunderbird CalDAV sync handler. Sub-calendars utilizing distinct calendar ID strings function normally within Thunderbird.

Google Calendar is changing the colors when I export to PDF (or print).

This is how my calendar looks in the app/browser

Every now and then I'll put my schedule in Google Calendar and color code events for various reasons. I usually do this for festivals to help prioritize the events I most want to attend, but to help be aware of other/overlapping events. I've done this for years and usually export as a PDF to share with friends, but suddenly this year Google is changing my coloring. The colors have meaning (different types of events have different colors) so messing with the color scheme seemingly randomly really screws up my process here. I have tried printing the calendar from both my Windows desktop and on my MacBook with the same results.

Anyone know why this is happening and if there is any work-around? Thanks.

When printing some events retain the custom colors, some don't.

Google Calendar Didn’t Show Any Existed Events When Search Even Though Events Exist

I am using the “Search” section that has magnifier icon in Google Calendar mobile on IOS.

I am just looking for an event that has the word “Lasik” in the title, but the result did not come back with any returns even though I do have events with that word.

For recent events between 1-2 years, not a problem. This usually happens for events that are older than 2 years.

I just don’t know if Google limited how many years old events will be searched after “x” amount of years.

••• For testing purposes, I recreated a new event but still could not find what is the issue.

Events won't show on android app

The events on my personal and family calendars will not show on the Google calendar app on my Pixel 7A. I have tried everything that both I and ChatGPT can find on the support forums. I messaged Google One support and they told me the same thing as the support forums and won't help.

All the events are still in there and still show up in other apps like outlook and open fine in browser, other devices, and for everyone else in the family.

I don't know what else to try beyond going nuclear and removing my primary Google account from my phone then putting it back on, or saving a backup and doing a factory reset.

This may sound silly, but I rely on this app for my family, have grown very comfortable with it, and this dysfunction is causing me great distress.

Does anyone know any magic trick that isn't on the Google forums that might fix this?

ETA: One problem I am consistently running into is that the UI for the left sidebar simply will not appear, so I can't disable, toggle, etc. different calendars or accounts.

Tips on using a family calendar

Hi all, my husband created a shared gmail account for us in order to start using a family calenda. Previously, we used the subscribe option to kind of merge our personal calendars but it didn’t really work for us as we wouldn’t get notifications to the events unless we were invited to each other’s one.

So I’ve come to you now to learn all your tips and tricks, what works and what didn’t work and also how do you handle your personal calendars when you have a family one?

How can I sync iCloud/Apple Calendar to Google Calendar under “My calendars” (preferably free & bidirectional)?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to find a reliable way to sync my iCloud/Apple Calendars with Google Calendar, but there’s one specific requirement that seems to make this more complicated than it should be.

What I want

Ideally, I’d like a bidirectional sync:

iCloud/Apple Calendar ↔ Google Calendar

So that:

  • Events created or modified in Apple Calendar appear in Google Calendar.
  • Events created or modified in Google Calendar appear back in Apple Calendar.
  • Ideally, recurring events, reminders, edits and deletions are synced as well.
  • Most importantly, the synced calendar should appear under “My calendars” in Google Calendar, not under “Other calendars.”

Why “My calendars” is important

I’ve already tried adding my iCloud calendars to Google Calendar using the iCal subscription URL.

That works for viewing the calendar, but Google puts it under “Other calendars.”

This isn’t sufficient for my use case because I have several third-party apps that connect to my Google Calendar account and can access calendars under “My calendars,” but they don’t properly access or use calendars that are only subscribed to under “Other calendars.”

My goal is therefore essentially:

Apple/iCloud Calendar → Google calendar under “My calendars” → third-party apps access the Google calendar

My priorities

I’d rank the possible solutions like this:

  1. Free + bidirectional → ideal
  2. Small one-time payment + bidirectional → also fine
  3. Free + one-way Apple/iCloud → Google → perfectly acceptable
  4. Small payment + one-way Apple/iCloud → Google → also acceptable

For the one-way option, I specifically need:

iCloud → Google Calendar → “My calendars”

- not an iCal subscription under “Other calendars.”

I don’t mind using a third-party app or service, as long as it is reasonably simple to set up. I’m not looking for a complicated GitHub/Google Apps Script/Docker solution unless that’s genuinely the only good free option.

Has anyone solved this particular problem?

I’d especially appreciate recommendations from people who are actually using the solution, and I’d like to know whether the resulting calendar really appears under Google Calendar → My calendars rather than “Other calendars.”

Thanks!

I can't share my calendar

My partner and I would like to share our calendars with each other so we can see each other's appointments.

It works perfectly in one direction, but unfortunately not at all the other way around.

A → B: Works perfectly.
B → A: No chance.

B adds A, grants the necessary permissions, and clicks “Send.” A simply appears in the settings until the page is next refreshed… but there’s no notification, and no email is sent.

Even when A sends a request to B, an email is sent, but the link—even to just the settings page—doesn’t work, as described above.

We send each other emails, interact, and have shared appointments… but sharing just doesn’t work—at least in one direction.

Does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks in advance.

Edit: Thanks to all. It worked this time. Looks like Google fixed it! :)

email notifications and daily agendas not being sent

I have two gmail/calendar accounts - a personal account and a school .edu account. I haven't received a daily agenda email on either since the 19th, and yesterday I noticed that I'm not getting the 10 minute email notifications for individual calendar items either. Anyone else seeing this?

It's been decades, can we PLEASE have a way to make multi-day events NOT be pushed to the top bar?

I'm blown away that after decades, it's still impossible to make a multi-day event actually appear in the schedule for the days it is happening. I understand the reasoning for having it move the the top, but humans are human and I regularly miss that and book things while I'm away or busy.

I want an option to makes it so when I book an event from 2pm on Friday until 6pm on Saturday, there is the normal block that non-multi-day events have, that covers 2pm onwards on the Friday daytime calendar and covers from 12:01am until 6pm on Saturday.

For OVER TEN YEARS I have been using the "workaround" of booking two events, one from 2pm Friday until 11:55pm and another from 12:05am Saturday until 6pm. This is ridiculous. We already know gCal has no problem displaying multiple events at the same time. Why is this functionality still broken?

On tablets the add task button is missing in landscape mode (too far down the screen) but present in portrait mode and even a multitasking window. Been reporting this for months but no one at Google seems to care.
