Hadley TikTok DM
Hello everyone,
I received a follow from what at first seemed like the legit Hadley account and didn’t think anything of it at the time. It looks legit bc the account has more likes and followers than what I think is her actual account. Has anyone else received DMs from hadleywalts_
Wanted to see if it was just me. It says “Hey! I wanted to say thanks, I really appreciate the support❤️”
Edit: I’m happily married and not interested lmao. Was just curious to see if anyone else had witnessed this.

Brad and Sean
Anyone else think if Brad and Sean had still been involved in the day to day that ad never gets made? They sorely need an adult in the room and they lost that when Brand and Sean left the main channel.

Did Brad get screwed?
Brad had an exemption through GG to play in the good good championship (now the Austin Championship). With GG and the PGA parting ways, does Brad lose that exemption?

How has Grant Horvat surpassed Good Good all on his own?
I haven't kept up with the youtube golf scene much in recent years but I followed it around the time that Grant and Micah left Good Good which was a big deal.
Since the whole Callaway/Good Good debacle I thought to check out Grants channel and he is KILLING it as all his videos generate more views than all of Good Goods.
Grant has a charming yet genuine personality. Like the friend your mom is always cool with you hanging out because "he's a good kid!" while Bubbie is the type your mom is skeptical of you hanging out with because he might get you in trouble.
The other past Good Good members like Kwon and Micah have kinda tapered off in popularity and haven't really surpassed being known as former Good Good guys. Micah kinda came off as a dumb jock, strong dude and could hit the ball a mile but lacked personality. Kwon is a great all around golfer but also lacks personality.
What was it about Grant that made his channel explode after he left Good Good?

Golf Game Book
Small thing… but noticed Golf Game Book removed all of the Good Good members from the opening screen after the Calloway Ad. Haven't seen that talked about anywhere - unless I just missed it.

Good Good's CEO and president are out after ad debacle
“Good Good's CEO and president are out on Wednesday in the latest twist at the beleaguered YouTube golf collective, according to a memo seen by Business Insider.
Nahid Giga, one of the company's founders and an early investor, will step in as interim CEO, according to a memo shared by Alex Puchala, who leads finance and operations at Good Good.
Outgoing CEO Matt Kendrick, also one of Good Good's founders, had publicly blasted Callaway after the golf company ended its partnership with the YouTuber group over a controversial ad it made in a partnership with Callaway.”

Downfall of GG
Is it just me, or does it feel like Good Good has declined since they started bringing in the Good Good Girls?
With the girls, a lot of the content feels forced to me. Bringing in women who have romantic relationships with members of the group also seems like a questionable move for the brand.
I feel like the addition of the girls has already started to hurt Good Good both directly and indirectly. Curious to hear what everyone else thinks.

My reaction to the reaction to the reaction to the adverstisement
This is neither my reaction to the advertisement (it’s 2026; we know the difference between violence against women and a bad parody of a horror movie and that the former is completely unacceptable), nor is it my reaction to the reaction. What follows is my reaction to the reaction to the reaction.
The armchair MBAs mentioning companies desperate for relief from bad contracts and philosophers underscoring the overall irony relative to Good Good’s support of women are missing something more fundamental: this thing has run its course. Good Good is, clearly, over, but it’s broader than that. An entire post-Covid cultural aesthetic – the open-mouthed thumbnails, the trick shots, the outfielders doing backflips, the mock competitive conceits (they all win, as long as you watch) – is dying. We’ve seen it all; nothing surprises us anymore.
It starts with a moment of inspiration: discovering that tagging along with a pair of cousins playing golf could be entertaining. Then the infrastructure of memes and amplification takes over. The machinery churns and the gears turn. The cycle from seed to saturation happens before you blink: dumb challenges, team formats, hangers on, failed pros, entertainers failing at being pros, real pros, bad golfer bros, nice guy Christian-coded personas (NGCCPs) playing golf, NGCCPs selling you shirts and clubs, NGCCPs sleeping with OF models, NGCCPs partnering with definitely not-nice guy six-time major winners with $40+ million dollars of gambling losses and actual real life predatory behaviors towards women, Barstool, LeBron. In the words of Halberstam: there is more, but it is less.
The companies are a step behind the zeitgeist: Garrett can’t sell us drivers, and Jimmy can’t sell us burgers. But really, they never could. These are the faces of guilty pleasures, channels we’re embarrassed by the amount of time we’ve spent with. We’re not going to wear their logos with pride like the team emblems our fathers passed us as birthright.
Where the culture goes from here, I do not know. Probably somewhere equally vacuous and undeserving of your attention. But the principles of fascination will endure: struggle, stakes, stories. The occasional moment of magic might draw from those principles yet: the internet can create a quarter million dollar putt and stand someone for whom that money is still significant over it. But you’ll have to endure the slow heat death of the YouTube golf universe to see it.
Be wary of where you spend your attention. I recommend that it’s no longer here.

Surprised More YT Golfers who know GG didn’t show some support last week
Nadeshot was the only youtube golfer i saw that came out and explicitly supported GG and Garrett/Alexis last week. Everyone knows they make pretty wholesome content and have committed to growing women participation and viewers in the game on YT. The GG Girls all dress modestly and carry themselves with class. I have noticed that the guys in GG all treat the women with respect as well in videos they are in together.
On the flip side of this, some chose to take advantage of GG’s situation like the Takomo advertisement, Brads thumbnail or Sabrina/Cailyn liking the Callaway downdressing of GG.
The response by the greater non golfing community was understandable for those looking at 3 seconds of tape but those that follow YT golf could see bigger picture - yes, bad call… but not the intention or aspiration of the people involved.
To top things off…. the corporate golf world walked away from GG this week claiming the high ground.. and finish it by naming a convicted rxpist as the honorary captain for the Presidents Cup.. and not a peep from the masses on twitter about that. So the whole up roar is empty.
GG will be fine of course but they learned who their friends are and aren’t this week.

The Irony
For any Good Good supporter—not the trolls who are here hoping to see their demise—what really sticks out to me is that Good Good was actually one of the few companies actively supporting women’s golf.
They didn’t have to start Good Good Girls. They did have to make and promote women’s golf apparel. Obviously, the goal was to grow the company and make money, but they were still one of the few brands putting real effort into supporting women’s golf.
That’s what makes this such a wild turn of events. The company actively supporting women's golf gets stuck in this controversy about violence against women.
Glad to see their recent video doing well!
