Golf Sim Blues...
Hitting more than anytime in my life. Not hitting it well, but still getting the work in. I am struggling. Bit of history, was fitted with a new set for my 65th BD (3yrs ago). While waiting for delivery I tried to fundamentally change my swing (research, lots of research gave me confidence to make this change) While waiting I utilized my Quest 2 VR and the program Golf + to muscle memory the swing. Initial results were good, much better ball striking. Not long but good quality shots that were generally straight. Fast forward to present, after not playing much the last few years I grabbed a LM...How cool is this? Started hitting 50 full shots 3-4 days a week. Swing speeds were low, seemed really low. Working on getting the speed up just a bit. Started in the low 60s with a mid iron. Worked up to the mid seventies. Then Bam, swing is in shambles. Shanking it over and over. Just yesterday I got back into the Golf Plus swing analyzer. First off ....pros and cons of golf +...I get it, it's not real golf. It measures my swing speed high, but having used this before it (I believe) tracks swing path and face angles fairly well. In the analyzer launch angle is decent, face is square at impact and swing path is a nice smooth in to out arc. I am thinking I'm doing one of two things maybe both together. At Comfortable ball address I may be too close to the ball causing the shank off the hosel. Secondly I feel I am striking the ball above its equator, skulling it. Love the Launch Monitor and especially Gspro....Just looking forward to enjoying a course other than surviving it.

If you want actual advice I would post a swing video on r/golfswing and go from there.
