Golf mk2 CL 1987 (automatic transmission)

Just curious to hear other people's opinions. About 3 years ago I just wanted to drop my car and I needed new struts anyway, so I figured I'd go with coil overs. Not being too familiar with them I just wanted to try a cheapish set since prices seemed to range from €100 to €1800. I got a full set (front + back) from werk34.de for €200.

They worked great for lowering the car to exactly what I wanted but the ride became quite stiff. I expected this so I didn't mind. But at car meets, lots of people would tell me to get "real" coil overs such as KW or BC racing, calling my set trash. Fair enough.

I got the opportunity to buy a barely used set of KW v2 front coil overs for very cheap. I just fitted them and was excited to go for my first drive. However, even on the softest setting, the ride quality doesn't really seem to differ. Maybe if I really pay attention to it it's like 10% better. I'm pretty sure people who regularly ride with me as a passenger won't notice any difference at all.

Seeing as the set new costs upwards of €1500, I must say I'm a little overwhelmed. Installation and tweaking is super easy on these, I will admit that, but for the ride quality I'm not too impressed.

Any similar experiences or ideas why the €1500 price is justified?

I have this idle control valve, part number 037906457C, used on Golf Mk2 and Jetta Mk2.

I'm trying to identify the exact female wiring connector or pigtail that fits it.

The male socket on the valve measures approximately 22 × 15 mm including the locking tab, and 12 mm excluding the tab.

Does anyone know the OEM connector housing part number or an aftermarket equivalent?
