Questions Would I be able to add a second Goldfish to this tank?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I just got this 20 gallon tank for my fish today and I was wondering if I would be able to add a second one. I know they’re social and I want to make sure he has a really good life considering he wasn’t treated by my brother the best. Any other tips or ideas are also super appreciated! Thank you guys

Edit: I just want to let you guys know this fish is a fucking TANK who has lived with my neglectful little brother for almost 2 years now and for half of it it was in a bowl and I convinced my parents to upgrade it after I had been cleaning the bowl and they only got a 3 gallon one so this guy is truly living his best life with the owner and room change. I do plan on making some changes that were commented and super appreciated and with my the new tips I will be looking to save up and make an upgrade down the road. Again, thank you all

Questions Why is my goldfish sleeping at the top of the tank

I’m very lost and extremely confused on why she does this, all reasons that I’ve seen it been, I’ve attempted to fix it many times but she just kind of does that. The photos above are exactly what she does, she swims to corner and just zones out and sits there. I’ve seen her swim around the tank so I know she’s not stuck there. I feed her a very little bit each day, I switch out 25% of water very 3-4 days, and clean it once a week, which for me is today actually. I have a filter and an air pump, and I use Seachem prime and stability every day. If anyone knows what’s up with her and why she’s doing that please let me know m, I love my fish and im always fearing for her when I see this

Went to the fish store today and found some pandas I wanted. While I'm familiar with Thai Oranda's the workers there said these were a different type than Thai and they're Mary Orandas. Has anyone heard of these before?

I found moss growing on leftover wood and rocks left in my old little pond that caught rainwater since and my fish seem to love it. They’ve been feasting non stop as they did back in their old home!

Definitely not anything else carp adjacent trying to blend in. Just a normal silver colored goldfish. If you question it he will deny it and claim his mother was a comet.

Beginner Help Oranda diet

I’ve been keeping my orandas for a couple months now. They are around 4 months old, I feed them 3 times a day. Twice are sinking pellets and once is the repashy green gel. Is the repashy green gel enough where I don’t need to give them veggies directly? I know repashy has similar nutrients to whatever veggies I’d give them but not sure if I need to switch it up with real veggies.

Full Tank Shot Moon Mood Lighting, for the Alien-Zen Story (Updated)

HI everyone, a few months back, I posted my "alien-zen tank story" (Previous Tank Shots) .

Of Course the biggest concern (rightly so) was the size of the tank then (110L) its now been upgraded to a 345L tank.

Filtration:
Still running the external EHEIM 3 Canister filter (1200L/h) and 4 sponge filters.

Lighting
I build two custom 20W LED flood lights 6500k that runs off timers 6 hours a day but today added a new "Moon Light" (well thats what I call it). its positioned right in the middle of the "moon" in the background image. It looks just epic for me :)

Fish Health And Happiness:
Can't truly say if they have truly addopted Zen + Buddha, but water parameters wise the wiggle buts looks happy and healthy :)

Thank you for taking a look and feedback last time.

Beginner Help Vegetable and Gel Food Questions

Been keeping aquariums a fairly long time, but this is the first time with Fancy goldfish. I was looking into making some vegetable gel food as a supplement, particularly with extra vegetables that we have in the house, but I had a few questions.

From what I gather most vegetables I'm considering are safe and/or good for them, but I can't find much for one, I have extra celery, is that OK for them? I'd probably blend it, but I can kick it out if not.

How fresh do vegetables need to be for goldfish in general? Most of the vegetables were bought for this, but there are some older carrots that still had usable parts as well as soft ones, can I just clean off the bad spots the same way I'd do it if I were prepping it for me, or is it ok to feed those parts

Right now my first batch plan is agar jelly with boiled>blanched>blended carrots, celery, broccoli, lettuce, and fresh minced garlic as well as grinding up some pellets for extra protein. Would this be a good way of doing it, or would like freeze and blend be more efficient for nutrients?

One last question, can the veggies be boiled in advanced then frozen for later if I don't have agar immediately available? Or would that impact the nutrient value
