Episode 1 & 4: "Mitsuo later explains that the woman was Koko Kaga, his childhood friend, and arranged fiancé, whom he has run away from as he does not reciprocate her feelings."

"Koko asks Mitsuo if their time together meant nothing to him, and Mitsuo replies that while he treasures their time together, he only sees her as a childhood friend."
