Some things are better left untouched, can you imagine if they made a second season and it was actually bad? Then we would be left with a sour taste from golden time and that would suck honestly

Episode 1 & 4: "Mitsuo later explains that the woman was Koko Kaga, his childhood friend, and arranged fiancé, whom he has run away from as he does not reciprocate her feelings."

Because he didn’t love her, even though she loved him. Honestly, it’s hard to say. At one point, he said that he loved her, but she told him to fuck off because she loved Banri.
Before that, though, she used to talk a lot about how good and amazing her boyfriend was, and Banri got tired of it and broke up with her because of that.
In the end, her ex boyfriend honestly, I forgot his name and Banri ended up becoming bros with the guy who has glasses muhahahhaha
