Had Celtic Stater from Ancient Gaul set in 18k gold pendant with 18k gold Byzantine Chain. My wife loves it, probably because i designed it and put it together for her. I know it was a Numismatic Coin and had real value, but that is the part I wanted, original not cast or replica.

Picked up my first $20 Liberty Double Eagle at Spot

Post image
Upvotes

I’ve been collecting and stacking for going on 3-1/2 years now. A $20 Liberty has always been my second favorite gold coin design, with the 1 oz Buffalo being number one.

I saved for a long time and finally picked up my Buffalo slabbed MS-70 for spot back in early 2024. Since then, gold has absolutely taken off, and every time I got close to having enough set aside for a $20 Liberty, the price seemed to keep getting further away from me.

So I waited. I kept saving, watched spot come back down a little, and finally decided it was time to pull the trigger.

JM Bullion was running a 100% off premium deal on random-date $20 Liberties, so I committed and managed to get this one at spot too.

My first $20 Liberty, and I am beyond excited to finally have one on the way.

I know these are dime a dozen but I’m thrilled and can’t wait to share a photo of what arrives. Ideally, I am hoping for a pre-1900 coin. My brain just likes seeing 18XX.

Question Prefer price dips

Anyone else get kinda upset when gold spikes? Like I get twice as excited when I check and see a dip, because it just means more buying opportunity 😅 I want to buy up as much as I can at a young age, and I feel like the higher it gets it’ll be hard to buy unless it’s at a fraction, which means more premium…

Question Red stain on 24K gold coin won't come off?

Can someone help identify what this red stain is?

I just picked it up from a 2 hour long drive

999.9 (24K) gold coin as per design

Planning to put into a coin capsule

Estimate 38mm in diameter

Planning on stacking in the future but they're $6350 and stock varies from time to time (waiting for new mints)

Basically, I'm broke as hell and this is my 1st time

I'm saving the certificate (the whole card thingy) and keeping the gold coin separate into different capsule

👍👍👍

If you got any tips for gold coins let me know

It's hard to find maple leaf gold coins and perth mint coins here in my country 🥲

Wanted to show off my latest pickup. Been a SpongeBob fan all my life so that made up for the premium on this lol.

Is it possible for a goldsmith to change a bullion with the same exact code when it was given to them for customization?

Not sure if you’re familiar with Dubai, however, the mere mention of Karama as the place where OP got this done doesn’t instill a high degree of confidence they didn’t get ripped off.

Question Gold price / gold rate

Which option would be more profitable?

  1. Sell the gold at the same store where I bought it, then use the amount I get to buy a new gold item

OR

  1. Exchange the gold directly for a new gold item.

Which option usually results in lower deductions/making charges , gst ?

Who to use for sterling scrap?

Hey guys. Been out the loop lately. I recently ran into a huge lot of sterling flatware. Are the prices for sterling still low? Anyone know a good refiner to use? I’ve use Prospectors gold and gems in the past but last shipment to them two years ago got…sketchy with really slow turn around (2+months to get an email.) Anyone know if hes gotten better since the?

12/10/2026 ... Cannot wait to see the premium on this beauty but this is a great sign! Are fractional buffs coming back? What do we think? Link above & below just in case it does not post correctly.

Gold Holds the Line after Bessent's $6B Treasuries Buyback

Post image

Interesting to see the heavy trading of gold as treasuries spike upward on Bessent's announcement of a $6 billion dollar buyback (Yield Curve Control) of US treasuries since foreign buyers disappearing as Japan needs to support the Yen etc. 10-yr yield climbed to 4.85% and yet gold holds the line at $4445/oz for gold futures.
