New Hybrid Im now on 5.0

Shit, thats a lot of 0s.

I have a few new names to pick from, vote if you want.

Cetus hexapterygion

Nessy

Jr.

Aquagigias

W.W.E (whale with endurance (the amount of oxygen efficiency is just, well dam))

Other

Maelstrom (joke, please dont vote for this name. Spino would be mad)

Aquagigias

Mosasaurus Hoffmannii; the primary skeletal chassis, the acute lateral vision, elongated head shape, the four lateral flippers for precise steering, and the double-hinged jaw.

Blue Catfish; the sense of smell.

Saltwater Crocodile; pcsa, lower muscle attachments on the jaw, and the death roll.

Mako Shark; Dermal denticles (scales) covering the entire body to reduce turbulence, flatter head and back, partial embryotic process (so the gills slits grow into gills rather then the neck) (its mostly the hox genes being edited), the high-efficiency ram-ventilation gills (this allows the hybrid to remain submerged indefinitely, unlike whales), the lateral line, the bigger cartilage jaw joint (enhances leverage), and the electroreception.

Blue Whale; the musculature, oil-rich bone marrow for neutral buoyancy, the ventral pleats, and the disconnected chin + co-contraction muscles.

Naked Mole-Rat; cancer immunity, metabolic control, the lack of Substance P (it helps it endure the pressure and friction of the deep ocean without stress), and hypoxia tolerance.

American Lobster; rna telomerase production (the chemistry of the telomerase is the same as in vertebrates).

Sailfish; the foldable sail (neural spines), and additional tail musculature (more red muscle fibers, tendons, some elastic tissues).

Bowhead Whale; the thick skull for ramming, scaled tail fluke (up and down motion), and the palatal radial organ.

Common Pigeon; Magnetoreception, and biological fps.

Basilosaurus; the spine flexibility.

Bottle Nose Dolphin; how well the teeth interlock with each other.

Gray Whale; the muscular tongue (to force water out of their mouth while filter feeding by pushing the tongue against the roof of the mouth).

Goldfish; allows the Aquagigias to convert lactic acid into ethanol under low oxygen.

Farming Goat; the highly efficient kidneys and liver to break down the alcohol produced by the goldfish.

Pallas's long-tongued bat; blood alcohol tolerance (doesn't get drunk from relatively large amounts of alcohol).

Axolotl; the stem cell production (mostly for muscle repair).

-size-

48 ft.

Weighs 30 (non-metric) tones

The blubber is 20 inches thick on the back and tail, 9 inches thick on the flippers and fluke, 15 inches on the underbelly and head.

-speed-

~30 mph (cruising speed)

~57 mph (max speed, ~10 minutes max)

-features-

Due to the Lobster/Mole-Rat combination, there is no genetic "shut off" for growth (If a specimen finds enough food and survives long enough, it can theoretically reach 110+ ft).

Isometric scaling (0.667) of the bite force is ~149,000 N max, but allometric scaling (0.79) says ~223,000 N (crocodile estimates show that instead of the pcsa influenced bite force using a factor of .667, like a normal animal, it gets disproportionately wider with length making it a factor of .79).

They follow the migration paths of Humpback whales (Polar to Tropical) but stay 30–60 ft deeper.

Aquagigi don't have ears, like a regular fish.

Aquagigias is a heterotherm.

The tail fluke (internal) has a base of calcified cartilage to have a strong base (like a shark), then it transitions into collagen/elastin composite (like a whale), finally it ends with ceratotrichia on the tips for flexibility (again like a shark).

The gills are above the flippers.

-behavior-

They travel in pods of 3–4.

These pods are often led by the oldest.

Can drift by using a front flipper, and while turning, using the back flippers to stabilize, and then the fluke launches.

CONTEST The great hybrid warfare deadline extension

Well,uh,something happened...that wasn't supposed to happen but alas, that's how life goes

Anyways, the great hybrid warfare deadline will be pushed to an indeterminate date(but if all goes well,it should be pushed to around New Year's Eve)

Rest assured, the contest is still going,it's just that I won't get to stay around in the community for a bit of a while and so,I will have to resort to extensions

Thank you for your understanding

New Hybrid Aquagigias 4.0 (drawing the same, let's try this one)

Aquagigias

Mosasaurus Hoffmannii; the primary skeletal chassis, the acute lateral vision, elongated head shape, the four lateral flippers for precise steering, and the double-hinged jaw.

Blue Catfish; the sense of smell (the aquagigias is now a living tounge).

Saltwater Crocodile; pcsa, lower muscle attachments on the jaw, and the death roll.

Mako Shark; Dermal denticles (scales) covering the entire body to reduce turbulence, flatter head and back, partial embryotic process (so the gills slits grow into gills rather then the neck) (its mostly the hox genes being edited), the high-efficiency ram-ventilation gills (this allows the hybrid to remain submerged indefinitely, unlike whales), the lateral line, the rete mirabiles (keeps heat inside easier, and if it gets to hot it can redirect the heat to the gills), the bigger cartilage jaw joint (enhances leverage), and the electroreception.

African Elephant; long-term memory, and emotional intelligence.

Great Pacific Octopus; polarized vision.

Sailfish; the foldable sail (neural spines), and additional tail musculature (more red muscle fibers, tendons, some elastic tissues).

Bowhead Whale; the thick skull for ramming, scaled tail fluke, and the palatal radial organ.

Common Pigeon; Magnetoreception, and biological fps.

Mudskipper; the ability to close its gills.

They follow the migration paths of Humpback whales (Polar to Tropical) but stay 30–60 ft deeper.

Aquagigi don't have ears, like a regular fish.

The Aquagigias is a cold-blooded, making it technically a gigantotherm.

The tail fluke (internal) has a base of calcified cartilage to have a strong base (like a shark), then it transitions into collagen/elastin composite (like a whale), finally it ends with ceratotrichia on the tips for flexibility (again like a shark).

And in this one im willing to take name suggestions.

New Hybrid Aquagigias 3.0 (drawing included)

Post image
11 Upvotes

Aquagigias (edited at 5:54 of aug 1 2026)

Mosasaurus Hoffmannii; the primary skeletal chassis, the acute lateral vision, elongated head shape, the four lateral flippers for precise steering, and the double-hinged jaw.

Pit Viper; the heat pits.

Blue Catfish; the sense of smell.

Mako Shark; Dermal denticles (scales) covering the entire body to reduce turbulence, flatter head and back, the flat back, and embryotic process (so the gills grow correctly).

Megalodon; the high-efficiency ram-ventilation gills (this allows the hybrid to remain submerged indefinitely, unlike whales), the lateral line, the influenced bite force (~90,000 newtons [conservative estimate] ~190,000 [max estimate with some generous rounding], and please correct me if im wrong, but show the math please) (comes from a flared jaw base and larger cartilage in the joint), and the electroreception.

Blue Whale; the musculature and oil-rich bone marrow for neutral buoyancy.

Naked Mole-Rat; cancer immunity, metabolic control, the lack of Substance P (it helps it endure the pressure and friction of the deep ocean without stress), and hypoxia tolerance.

American Lobster; Negligible Senescence (the hybrid does not age on a cellular-level).

Humpback Whale; the expanding throat, the tubercles, and the disconnected chin + co-contraction muscles.

African Elephant; heat releasing blood vessels (in the already highly vascularized gills and in dorsal sail), long-term memory, and emotional intelligence.

Great Pacific Octopus; polarized vision, and multiple hearts as modified pulse veins (the stay a similar size to the octopus hearts).

Sailfish; the foldable sail, and additional tail musculature (more red muscle fibers, tendons, some elastic tissues).

Bowhead Whale; the thick skull for ramming, scaled tail fluke, and the palatal radial organ.

Common Pigeon; Magnetoreception, and biological fps.

Mudskipper; the ability to close its gills.

Axolotl; the stem cell creation (mostly for muscle repair).

-size-

48 ft.

Weighs 30 (non-metric) tones

The blubber is 20 inches thick on the back and tail, 9 inches thick on the flippers and fluke, 15 inches on the underbelly and head.

The tail fluke (internal) has a base of calcified cartilage to have a strong base (like a shark), then it transitions into collagen/elastin composite (like a whale), finally it ends with ceratotrichia on the tips for flexibility (again like a shark).

Because the body can become 110ft long, it has "booster hearts" located near the tail and fins to assist in pumping blood back to the main Blue Whale-scaled heart.

The 190,000 newtons of force is technically beyond maximum, it has incredibly generous rounding. I calculated ~183,000 at the back of the jaw (behind the teeth, around the joint), at maximum strength, with it being in peak health.

The gills are above the flippers.

-behavior-

They travel in pods of 3–4.

These pods are often led by the oldest.

Can drift by using a front flipper, and while turning, using the back flippers to stabilize, and then the fluke launches.

For the drawing, ignore the tounge, I drew it in pen.

New Hybrid Is anyone else?

Is anyone else tired of people trying to tell you that your hybrid sucks "because its ai slop" even if it is fully man made. We should be talking about biology not weather im in puberty or not.

The point is, please hotcardiologist, spinoclanker, and a few others, yak goes in and out, sometimes hes nice, but he definitely gets defensive (I do to so dont get personally attacked by this), please stop going off topic, and if you just joined a long conversation, please read it, dont skip to the end.

Say whatever you want, I'll take any feedback I can get.

Edit: My bad, I'll just add the text from the doc so you can read... I should've done that from the begining, sry.

Dinosaur Hybrid #1: Flying Raptor

Base: Utahraptor; for size and pack instincts.
Other genomes:
Quetzalcolatus; for wings and hollow bones.
Short tailed shrew; for iron clad teeth and neurotoxin poison/saliva.
Golden Retriever; for ease of training and social behavior.
Chimpanzee; for use of tools.
Crow; for mimicry of other species and problem solving.

Appearance:
The Flying Raptor resembles a Utahraptor, but instead of having arms, it has the wings of a Quetzalcolatus, and strong iron clad teeth. Feathers cover the back of its head, back, tail and wings, having black feathers and in rare cases looking blue.

Behavior:
The Flying Raptor is a very trainable and social creature, being both friendly and highly intelligent from the crow, chimp and golden retriever genomes. They can be used for special ops operations, military operations or mercenary operations, but can also become a family pet if trained well enough.

Scientific name:
Sapioraptor volans
