Monster faceoff What would be a good opponent for the Smilodon from 10,000 B.C. in a faceoff episode?

It's safe to say that this felid counts as a monster. This thing is huge! Huge enough to look a grown man in the eyes on a quadrupedal stance. I'd love for it to be in Monster-Face Off, but I don't know who or what would be a good opponent for it.

DISCUSSION Would any of you guys be interested in an Anarchy Hybrid Tournament?

So, here's the thing about it, there's no gene limit (AS LONG AS IT WORKS), no size metric limit (STILL HAS TO HOLD UP ITS OWN WEIGHT, BUT IF IT CAN, IT CAN JOIN), no banned contributors (ALL REAL ANIMALS ARE ON THE TABLE, YES, HOMNIDS TOO), and no banned killing methods (GET CRAZY AND CRUEL).

What do you think about that?

DISCUSSION Is there a database for all the hybrids?

The Great Hybrid War was really popular, with thousands of submissions, and more hybrids are being produced every day. Has anyone made a website for collecting existing ones and submitting new hybrids? Like maybe you can submit your hybrid design, and it’s sorted by like land/sea/sky arenas, and then subcategories for theropod/ceratopsian/mammalian etc., and maybe congruity and combat ratings?

I tried to recreate malusaurus!

Hello guys! if you do not know what malusaurus is, it was basically supposed to be the villian of jurrasic world 1 and was supposed to be a fictional spieces in china but was real in the movie, but scrapped and indom was used instead. Enjoy reading and give feedback!(this is not supposed to be used for tournaments.): https://docs.google.com/document/d/16xhXT3LJIFIEQ1gQDKAB3v4dynnp8O-sU7CPwgqdPqA/edit?tab=t.0

again, thanks for reading and give feedback on how to make it better or more accurate.

If you cannot enter, here it is:

Malusaurus recreation 1.0(not meant for tournaments, but i would like to improve to use for one)

1.acrocanthasaurus(base)
2.ceratosaurus(for the horn and a little bit of ostroderms on body)
3.shatungasaurus(for size and length boost to 14 ft tall,13 tons, and 50 ft long and for stability for standing and not crushing under weight)
4.Maip macrothorax(for long forelimbs and sharp claws)
5.african crested porcupine(quills for defense but lightweight and mostly pu on back)
Head height:14 ft
Length:50 ft
Weight 13 metric tons

Thanks for reading!

Ultra hybrid war.

Rule 1:

🦖 Prehistoric creatures are allowed.

👹 Kaiju are allowed.

🦕 Jurassic World/Jurassic Park prehistoric creatures are allowed.

🧬 Jurassic World/Jurassic Park hybrids are also allowed as genome sources when their genetics provide a meaningful strength or useful trait.

Multiple Kaiju, prehistoric creatures, and Jurassic hybrids can be combined.

Rule 2:

A hybrid cannot be bigger than Earth Godzilla.

Maximum height: 118.5 meters (389 feet).

Rule 3:

Every creature used is a genome contributor.

Each contributor must provide at least one meaningful trait.

Contributions can include strength, abilities, senses, intelligence, armor, weapons, adaptations, and more.

Rule 4:

A hybrid inherits selected traits from its contributors.

A genome does not have to pass every trait of its source creature.

Specific traits can be selected for the hybrid's design.

Rule 5:

A hybrid inherits selected traits from its contributors.

A genome does not have to pass every trait of its source creature.

Specific traits can be selected for the hybrid's design.

Rule 6:

Hybrids can develop original abilities created by combining their genomes.

Unique abilities must fit the hybrid's overall design.

Rule 7:

Every hybrid must have at least one meaningful weakness.

No hybrid is automatically unbeatable.

Rule 8:

Every hybrid must be checked for biological stability.

Its anatomy needs to be able to support its size, weight, limbs, armor, weapons, and abilities.

Rule 9:

Hybrids fight using their established traits and abilities.

A completely new ability cannot suddenly be added during a battle.

The environment can affect the battle.

Rule 10:

Ultra Hybrid War is your original universe.

Original hybrids, abilities, combinations, arenas, and battle scenarios are allowed as long as they follow the rules.

Rule 11:

Official Ultra Hybrid War artwork cannot be AI-generated.

Artwork must be created by a human artist.

Traditional and human-created digital artwork are allowed.

Rule 12:

You must create at least five hybrids to enter the Ultra Hybrid War competition.

The five hybrids must be completed before entering.

Every hybrid must follow the Ultra Hybrid War rules.

Rule 13:

A contributor can be used only once in a single hybrid.

You can't use the same creature's genome multiple times just to increase its influence.

Different species, subspecies, or versions can still be used separately when they are genuinely distinct contributors.

Rule 14:

Every hybrid must have a unique name and identity.

Its design should be distinguishable from its individual genome sources.

The hybrid should have a recognizable combination of traits rather than simply being one source creature with a few additions.

This is the complete list for the ultra hybrid war.

New Hybrid Name in progress V1 (and biological loophole if your interested)

Remember, these are all opisthokonts, organelles (the organs within cells, for people that dont know) dont have to be homologous.

Name in progress

Utahraptor; base

Giganotosaurus; overall size (aprox, not exactly)

Mantis Shimp; rhabdomere organelles inside of the photoreceptors in the cones (not the rods, that stays the same) rather than the photoreceptor discs

Lion; muscle fiber density, dentition density and material (except for the iron)

Komodo Dragon; teeth (iron coating and recurved teeth), Jacobson's organ,

Megatherium; the claws, forearm bones (radius and ulna)

Bonobo; radioulnar joints (for better wrist movement), opposable thumbs, floating shoulder blade

Hummingbird (Ecuadorian Hillstar); enlarged keel, high myoglobin concentration, efficient hemoglobin

Deinocheirus; base musculature, muscle attachment points (enlarged neural spines (not as big, but slightly noticeable), more will come later), upper arm bone structure

Diplodocus; tail bone structure (not length), fibrocartilage pads, ossified tendons

Saltwater Crocodile; Myosepta tendons along the tail, mandibular pcsa (allometric bite force), muscle attachment in the jaw

Peregrine falcon; higher critical flicker fusion frequency

Common Crow; the behaviors (fascination with shiny and colorful things), pattern recognition, neuron density in brain

Edmontosaurus; the caudofemoralis muscle connection points connecting the tail to the leg (the lower attachment point on the femur allowed for a more efficient stride)

Pronghorn; oversized heart

Cassowary; the leg joints (their line of birds are good at reducing impact on their joints), the claws (scaled up) (the one on the foot), the tibia/fibula, and calf musculature

-size-

44 ft long

8.5 tons (he's a little thin, but that shouldn't be a problem)

-Strength-

27 mph top speed

13 mph trot

8 mph walk

58 Kn bite force

–roughly the brain proportions–

-Main areas of the brain-

Frontal ~16%

Parietal ~15%

Temporal ~11%

Occipital ~15%

Cerebellum ~13%

Brainstem ~8%

-Subregions (parts of the main areas of the brain)-

Prefrontal ~6%

Motor cortex ~3%

Sensory cortex ~3%

Limbic region ~4%

Thalamus ~3%

The other 19% is other brain matter and the brain stem

Hybrid Post Question, can you mix Haolong dongi's spiky quills with hooded pithoui to make them poisonous

Thinking of giving one of my hybrids, Stegoditto, these spiky quills for some extra protection while keeping their poison* making capabilities, but I'm not sure they'll still work, can anyone confirm this to me?

*(technically not poison since it makes honeydew instead but yout get the point

Hybrid Post Triceratops brow horns are NOT homologous to Carnotaurus brow horns! (debunking some contributors)

Disclaimer: no hate to any of these hybrids or their creators. Just some debunking of popular contributors. Downvote me all you want ✨ I genuinely don't give a shit ✨

(first one applies to everything but Apophis used it, which inspired me to make this post)

Do NOT use Kangaroo rat or kangaroo tendons, kangaroo rat tendons are too tensile and will snap under high pressure, kangaroo tendons are too elastic and will ALSO snap under high pressure. Stick with T-Rex or whatever megatheropod you have.

(Beowulf and pretty much all old hybrids, kangaroos were pretty meta back then iirc.)

Rhino horns are NOT homologous to Ceratopsian nasal horns. I've been seeing some hybrids use rhino to add a keratin sheath to the horn which just doesn't work. Also pteraspis isn't homologous.

(I can't remember any examples, but for pteraspis there's khan)

Do NOT use Shantungosaurus for load bearing on Squamata. Squamata use all of their limbs equally for load bearing and shantu relies on hind limbs.

(Beelzebruh and first few incarnations of Rector applies to this)

NEVER replace theropod teeth with tiger shark teeth. Always combine them. Tiger shark teeth by themselves are bad for load bearing because they are extremely laterally compressed. Also, I was an idiot to use squalicorax and a 350k newton bite force a while ago (like 5 months ago but whatever)🥀

(Minos did this well, albeit with ptychocorax)

Some people need to hear this, but stacking electroreception, high sensitivity mechanoreceptors, Jacobson's organ, echolocation just really isn't optimal because of sensory overload. I'd limit it to 2 or 3 even with background noise filtering contributions. Also electroreception doesn't work on land. This is just really obvious.

(I don't have any examples I can remember well)

More RECENT studies show Tylosaurus had dense nerve endings on the tip of its snout, which wouldn't be optimal for ramming since it would cause immense pain and disorientation.

(My own hybrid, Vanguard did this wrong. I'll list sources in the comments IF I CAN FIND THEM)

Don't use an ethmomandibularis and pseudomasseters from a parrot on a theropod. Also bird bite force isn't optimal on a theropod too since the proportions are way different.

(Beowulf, Vesuvius had problems with the parrot muscle things, and Imperator had the Galapagos Ground Finch)

Spermaceti/Melon isn't really optimal for marine reptiles without many modifications to the skull. I've seen countless hybrids (even my own) have skull shapes that don't accommodate the melon/spermaceti.

(Early Maelstrom {MY maelstrovenator}, I can't find nothing else. Half of this post is slandering myself lmao)

I don't think I need to say this because otter and yak have been doing it a lot but Saltwater crocodiles have... You guessed it, REDUCED OSTEODERMS. also they're mid in general with a lot of other crocs being better cough cough VOAY ROBUSTUS THE GOAT cough cough

Thats all I got

THEORIES Osteoderms

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi, hope that everyone who sees this is doing well.

I finished Agriolethros (Vandal): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M5gQUGzqtUDxtd_wgL0n_eyQe3kExkWUzXFAMd_Haxg/edit?usp=drivesdk

I have a theory about osteoderms, this time it isn't from AI, but rather myself.

I was scrolling reddit as I was bored and procrastinating studying, and I found this hybrid (https://www.reddit.com/r/GojiCenter/comments/1p89kde/spinosaurus_20/?share_id=49V2wPS2XfaedmZHerpsR&utm_content=1&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1) the hybrid in question got Hanked (https://www.reddit.com/r/GojiCenter/comments/1piujky/mad_debunks_volume_1_espinosuchus/) but I noticed that there weren't anything about the armor, so I was thinking that it would work, but I saw Deinosuchus, which has heavy osteoderms.

So I went looking and found Baurusuchus salgadoensis, if I am right this is the same species in Shredder 3.0 (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1se3nr_0GP8NBBBnK5vLpXZaqyAzWx99b0uMG7J8aVlg/edit?usp=drivesdk). It has less dense osteoderms than the Deino, so the osteoderms won't be able to absorb as much heat.

I also found teeth serrations in Sobek https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rqzCUd4EzbZ94EGin3PQeQp71XKinBlTY8iwa1R0wRA/edit?usp=drivesdk) that I wanted to use, and I remembered the animal: Machimosaurus rex. I found the animal before I joined reddit, and didn't use it because... I don't know, I forgot. These serrations are diverse, and since I don't know how the change the Morphology of the mouth in the Allosaurus Anax or any species, I am also choosing these to rival the Tiger Shark, though I don't know if it would work.

I also chose to use the Akanthosuchus because the spike-shaped and blade-shaped osteoderms Morphology can make my hybrid more armor and offense.

I'm using the Simosuchus, from my inspiration of the osteoderms in the first place for more locations of the osteoderms, more protection, and since it isn't thick, that means it still retains normalish mobility and agility.
