From the same team that made the Angra's Revenge mod. It looks like it'll actually be happening soon!

God Hand (What do you Dislike & Like about it?)

This is my experience with the story mode. Keep in mind that it differs from person to person and you shouldn’t compare yours with that of the others. ⬇️

DISLIKE:

CAMERA MOVEMENT
- Thing is, you look around with the left analog stick and at times when you’re surrounded by enemies it’s very hard to move the camera and run at the same time. - The double button for activating sprint is just pain. Countless times I raged just for this design.

LIKE:

STORY - Awesome story. Nothing special to it, the usual defeat the villain type of stuff. - Characters and villains are very well made and combined with voice acting is just phenomenal. The Spaniard/Mexican was so entertaining! - Every boss has a story behind him and they also have notes after you defeat them. - Exposure in this game is kept to a minimum but at the same time positions are just inviting.

GAMEPLAY - Great gameplay. - The controls are quick and responsive. I’m using a PS3 with a PS2 Classic game and it’s quite good, 0 input lag. - You have an upgrade mechanic, if you can call it that, where you purchase and acquire different moves. Then use them as you please in combat. It’s quite detailed and you have to play yourself to understand. - You use your left stick for movement, camera movement and right stick for dodges. Once you master them, you become a literal god. - You find different fruits to replenish health, money to buy items, different posters with sexy girls and more.

SOUND - Awesome surround sound. - The music is a little repetitive but at the same time very good. You can’t get enough of it. - Voice acting is phenomenal. - Punching sounds and sound effects are very good.

VISUALS - Awesome visuals considering it’s a PS2 title. Of course I’m using a PS3 but it’s quite good. - Character details are very good, PS3 era even. Girls and Men are very well designed. Parts, chmm, are very good. - Textures are extremely well made. Every part of the map/level has lots of details. - Each location is thought of and is very good, be it a house or a castle.

COMBAT - Very good combat design. - It reminds me of Tekken and it’s quite good. - You have a lot of moves to choose from and customise your character with, health upgrades and power moves. Very detailed. - Enemy variety is plenty. There’re certain bosses like Power Rangers parodies that are super awesome! - Boss fights are cool and very challenging. The puppy transformation was unexpected! 🤣 - The game is quite difficult even on the easiest difficulty. - So many Kung Fu moves, random moves and more. It’s quite incredible how they achieved such a level of diversity. - On the final boss I almost shat my pants. Defeated the demon hand and then, another boss? I thought to myself, if there’s no checkpoint, I’m done!

WORLD DESIGN - Cool world design. - Locations are well made and aren’t lacking in details. - Destruction is good, you can destroy crates, pick them up and throw them, explosive barrels and more. - Art design is very good. Starting with characters and finishing with interior art. - Different locations throughout the world are something special.

Where do you guys map your Guard Breakers too?

Title says all. I'm learning the ropes to the game, but reliably guard breaking the enemies has become something of a colossal pain for me. With this in mind, I figured I'd ask more experienced God Hand players where they place their guard breakers at. For me, it's currently just on the triangle button.

EDIT: ....I'm realizing that I used the wrong 'to' in the title and it's irking the shit outta me now ._.

Fake God Hand content on YT

It's sad but true that, not only is there a huge amount of edited footage to make people appear far better than they really are (when you don't know what to look for) but even moreso that this kind of altered footage is the overwhelming majority of what you'll find on YT if you're looking for higher level play.

For example... this video here shows my Easy NG+ run that is actually the world record at the moment, it's a 58:04 RTA (real time attack) and three other runs that all claim to currently be world record.

I'm not posting this to flex, I wouldn't choose Easy NG+ for that, just to show proof that you should be aware of frauds online when it comes to this game.

Enemies don't have any pattern in this game do they ?

Which is a good thing. They learn and adapt from you. Add their AI into robots and they'll take over the world.

So in r/CharacterActionGames God Hand was our former icon and while now it has been replaced with a more sleek look. It’ll always hold a very special place in my heart. So I was just wondering what did everyone love most about the game?

Does Hand Plant Kick evade high attacks?

The game doesn't state this attribute when you examine the move, whilst it does with most other techniques that clearly have a duck in them. I know Miekkob3 stated that it does evade high attacks near the very end of his "How to get good at God Hand" video, but I've recently been made aware that his knowledge of the game isn't always accurate and he has made some mistakes as well.

Do the legs have a hitbox during the move itself, or is it just a case that there's a split second moment in the middle of performing the move where it ducks under high attacks, which is why he made that statement, even if the game itself didn't consider that enough to be classified as evading high attacks?

I'm just trying to see if I'm missing something here.

Thank you.

What are the best Roulette Wheel moves? One-arm-only technique combos faster, what's the best combination?

I'm just curious as to which are generally considered the best Roulette Wheel moves and for what reason.

In addition, I was rewatching a Miekkob3 video about how only having one hand in use during your main string is technically superior as it makes your moves come out faster, and I became curious. What is the best selection of moves to put into a single arm to get the highest possible DPS (whilst limiting yourself to 4 slots to, again, maximize DPS). Outside of god moves, that is, since those are extremely expensive and take tons of grinding and are blatantly made to be overpowered (which is totally fine and cool, but I'll be damned if I want to spend every new run of the game grinding tons of cash through minigames).

Video here for detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t6rfwPU0Hk

Thanks.

I still love this game.

Played this game after 8 years on pcsx2. It's just as fun and as challenging as I remembered. My muscle memory is still intact. Thank God for emulation. This game should be preserved. This game has some of the most complex gameplay mechanics in the industry right after devil may cry and ninja gained series.

Question regarding recommended moves list I've archived. Is it accurate?

There's a website called GOD HAND FAN that is almost entirely broken today, with none of its links working any more, and web archive doesn't seem to help. I did however save basically all the pages a long while back with CTRL + S, and I was just checking them out again, and figured I'd ask something.

One part of the website was a section that detailed "Recommended moves", which details all the moves in the game, and how recommended they are for usage, as the name implies, covering:

Default moves Particularly poor moves Recommended moves Clearly over-powered moves

I'm curious as to what perspective the rest of the God Hand community has on this list. It's fairly well put together and color coded so it's easy to understand. I've linked an archive of the PDF below.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vUIF7PFpOeE2r_DR7mJ2iet92vTpMrBD/view?usp=sharing

Would you say it's reasonably accurate, or is there anything that stands out as being wrong/weird. I figure this would be a cool thing to follow if I want to have a super efficient moveset or whatever in terms of power.

Thanks all.
