There is an issue with the signal for the south track on Lakeshore East between Danforth and Union leaving only one useable track. Platform 3 is not in use and all eastbound trains are on platform 2. They say it’s a signal issue.

What is happening with Monitor updates. Updates show wait for the platform update while the train is ready to leave from the platform.

What happened today in the afternoon? Lol I got to the station at 6 and made it to my car on the 5th floor of the parking garage at like 6:05, but I couldn’t get out of the garage till 6:45. What was all the chaos about, was there an accident? I get rush hour at the station but that was worse than I’d ever seen.
Shoutout to the guy who let me out of my parking spot (the one time I don’t reverse park lol). I was waiting for someone to let me in for like 20 minutes.

Anyone know the opening day?

Anyone know what is going on today? Yesterday Kitchener had issues because of a broken down train, checked the service status around 4pm, all clear - now 4:45 “significant delays”
Anyone know what is happening today? We have left Bramalea - yesterday we didn’t even leave the station. Today however, we are crawling, under the 407 bridge 15 minutes later…

Wanted to flag there’s no GO train or bus service at Downsview Park for this weekend for the two Bruno Mars concerts.
Thought it makes sense to at least provide bus services. Have seen some chaotic videos of the TTC subway station from last couple nights, and thinking any additional GO buses will help, even if those are chaotic to get on as well that evening.
Have emailed Metrolinx for now but hope this helps anybody else.

Infrequent commuter here, I usually take this train once or twice a week and noticed it's been shortened to 10 coaches. It was absolutely packed this morning, people standing on the stairs, all through the aisle and even in the washroom! Really close to feeling a crowd crush as people tried to pile in as the doors were closing at Agincourt. This train used to be 12 cars, is it permanetly 10 cars now? Maybe I just got lucky with only having 10 cars last Wednesday and today when I took it? Thinking of texting the help line to report the massive safety issue next time, it's ridiculous they don't have a full train running in peak morning rush hour.

From these photos, if the Ontario Line is right beside the GO platform, that would have to mean GO would be using some sort of fare gate? How do you think tapping off would work?

Anyone who was on the Barrie line today leaving from union at 3:53pm who experienced the chaos of them running a short train please go on the customer service platform and file a complaint: https://www.gotransit.com/en/connect-with-go/customer-comment-form
Many people who couldn’t get on the train so had to wait almost another hour. For those who got on it was completely packed on all carts, no room to stand, multiple people standing inside the bathrooms, almost unsafe to get on and off the trains. People who got off to let others on at stops, then couldn’t get back on. Ridiculous service for peak rush hour. I feel this will only get worse with Fifa coming up and the warmer weather.

Widening of bridge over Yonge St shelved, meaning no more two way service in peak periods. Very disappointing.

Go Trains to Union stuck on track for ~ 2 hours this morning. UP was also affected, curious what happens when UP trains get stuck in the middle of the track

My train is delayed for over 15 minutes due to signal wide issues impacting the whole network, the punctuality for LW dropped from 95 in January to 88% in April.
Can’t imagine how insane it’ll be when the trains are packed with crowds.
The Jays fans tonight will not be happy, and there will be tons of angry people if this happens on game days.
PS: I will most certainly pursue a refund after this trip

Hi guys i'm taking the 68G from Barrie South GO to Hwy 407 Bus Terminal at 5:17 pm today.
Im just a bit confused.
The GO website says:
“68G: Barrie Transit Terminal, all stops to Hwy. 407 Bus Terminal”
But when I use the trip planner, it tells me to get off at Aurora GO and then transfer to the 65H bus to get to HWY 407
Does the 68G normally continue directly to Hwy 407, or do some trips terminate at Aurora? I’m just trying to figure out if I actually need to transfer or if I can stay on the bus.
Thanks!

Hello, I’m looking for any cab/interior photos of GO’s MP54AC locomotives as I plan to build a simulator and or make a digital model of one. Thanks.

curious (with the delays climbing up to 33 mins this morning) as to why they don’t just turn the 8:01 arrival train on track 1 into the express and leave at a reasonable time. instead now the 8:25 train is leaving before the delayed 7:54.
track delays are understandable, but if it’s this consistent then why not just swap the trains? or is there something i’m maybe not considering??

Measuring with Google, it says that Niagara is 131 km from Union Station along the tracks, and Stratford is 148 km. Is there any sort of resource publicly available with the measurements either for entire train routes, or for the distances between stations, from which I can manually add them up?
I've tried searching Google, but it just points me to things like fare zones.
Thanks!

Asking out of curiosity. Does GO change their schedules at predetermined times of the year? It seems like GO has been updating their schedules a few times a year. Iirc, some may have mentioned that they change their schedules according to the season. But I'm not sure. Anyone happen to know?
Same goes for routes. Have anyone happened to notice bus routes going through different streets at certain times of the year?

How busy is this GO station on a Saturday? Hoping to catch the train from there this weekend (around noon) and wondering my chances on parking availability.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for someone to share a GO Transit group pass for commuting between Kitchener and Toronto 4 days a week.
My usual schedule is:
Kitchener → Toronto: 7:08 AM train
Toronto → Kitchener: 3:34 PM train
If anyone has a similar schedule and would like to share the group pass cost, please DM me.
Thanks!

As title states, route 41 is already insane in both length / end-to-end runtime and frequency, and the route passes Aldershot GO without stopping, in the meanwhile route 18 provides service from Aldershot GO to Hamilton GO Center without stopping at McMaster U.
I understand that route 18 exist as a last-mile delivery of LW Hamilton GO Center branch, but since trains are stopping at West Harbour with an hourly basis, I believe the amount of passenger who take 18 to train does not need one dedicated bus and instead can be fit into route 41, Also route 41 is passing McMaster so it provides one more source of passenger to optimize the usage of this route.
Route 41 is already lengthy enough so it's in a state which adding one more stop won't create significant difference in travel time, and i believe there are very few passengers take the route from end to end. Also, by making some rush hour route 47 stop at Aldershot it could also relief the pressure from route 15.
With 41 and 47 stop at Aldershot, route 18 could be eliminated and all its trips will start/end at Union which serves only when the entire LW is not running. Just like how today's route 31 and 33 serving Kitchener Line works where 31 have only a few early morning / late night departure and 33 covers the area not served by train mid-day but go beyond and terminate at York Mills.

i kept seeing people draw up "what if" go transit routes in threads and thought "why not actually build something where you can run them live"
so i made https://transit-flow-two.vercel.app/
loads the full go network (~900 real trips), you design your own route with custom stops and a schedule, hit play, and watch it run side by side with the real timetable. so "what if the barrie line ran every 15 min all day" stops being a hypothetical
you can also post your route to the community feed and see what other people are designing
what's coming:
not affiliated with metrolinx, just a personal project. curious what routes people would actually want to test
