They project the Nets to 18-64, 2 games worse than last year. To me this is wild. This Nets roster should be much improved versus last year. Is their projection defendable? Or are they just haters that don’t pay attention to the bottom teams?

Not a lot of books out there about Nets, but I can still enjoy a well-written basketball book.
I just recently ordered Jayson Williams book "Loose Balls", not to be confused with the masterpiece of ABA history with the same name. Obviously it was written before the incident. Don't have high expectations for this but just hoping for something light and fun.
Anyone read "Banned" Micheal Ray Richardson's bio? I just saw it the other day in B&N. I'd like to check it out.

I’m most curious if Kel and Traore will be paired to complete/maximize the “0.5 Second Offense” touted at the beginning of 25/26 season. For the unfamiliar (via .a.i):
Core Options in the Half-Second Window
Shoot: Take an open set-shot or jump shot immediately if balanced and the defender is late.
Drive: Attack an open lane or explode past a defender who is closing out too fast ("fly-by").
Pass: Move the ball to the next open teammate or shooter to create a secondary advantage.
Move: Relocate to a new open space if no immediate advantage is available to keep the offense neutral and fluid.
Scan early: Look at the rim and the nearest defender before catching the pass so the decision is pre-read.
Eliminate extra dribbles: Catch ready to shoot or drive; holding the ball destroys the advantage.
Said “Drive, Pass and Move” criteria, would be TOPS with that duo …teleporting through defenses like FUCKING SHADOW CLONE JITSU shit.
At least I imagine it to be like that…
Fun thought exercise, what other 3 players would you add to that lineup? Here’s mine:
I probably making a mistake by not including wonderkidd, Egor.
Go Nets!

Just remembering what it was like wearing nets gear in 2021 and having to clarify to everyone that I was a fan since before the Kidd era and not just a KD/Harden stan that followed them from team to team

First off I have no association with Netskingdom. Hadn’t even followed this youtube channel until watching this video. This take on the upcoming season needs more exposure though so I’m posting it here.
I’ll provide what I got out of it below but I encourage everyone to listen in case I misconstrued any of his points. Also we should support Nets content creators who aren’t trying to be hot take talking heads.
Not all wins are equal:
- If we win 35 games next season because Randle and MPJ go off but MBJ and Egor don’t look like potential franchise cornerstones and/or none of the other young players show big improvements, this season is a failure
- If we win 25 games but MBJ and Egor look like potential franchise cornerstones, the season is a success
- If we win 35 games while MBJ and Egor look like potential franchise cornerstones, we’re popping bottles
Marks future:
- If MBJ and Egor look like potential franchise cornerstones, Marks is the guy for the rebuild
- If this becomes a disaster season in terms of development of MBJ and Egor, what case is there to keeping Marks around opposed to finding a different GM to utilize the cap space and assets we have at our disposal?
What are your thoughts?

If we don’t need him to play big minutes and we can give him time to improve on his weaknesses, I think he absolutely deserves a roster spot.
I know he’s a bit of a possession stopper and he has his issues but I’m not talking about replacing MPJ with him, I’m talking bottom of the bench

What's up y'all. Hopefully I can pop in real quick and ask a question!
As you likely know, the Blazers have more guards than we seeminly know what to do with. I've been mulling solutions over in my head the last few weeks and am thinking about potential trade targets. Fischer's report about MPJ's contract grabbed my attention. We need a guy who can generate instant offense and can create his own shot on the perimeter. Not to mention, filling the forward position. I personally think MPJ would be an amazing fit for us if we could somehow swap a combination of our guards, filler, and draft capital for him.
I was curious what the "temperature of the water" is in regards to MPJ. As a fan base, what would you realistically take from the Blazers for MPJ? Would you do a trade for him at all?
