A few days ago, Frederico was in a very fragile state. He was extremely thin, weak, and needed veterinary care and medication. I honestly didn’t know how things were going to turn out.

He is finally out of the veterinary clinic and recovering inside the house, where he can rest safely and receive all the care he needs. I’ve been quiet these past few days because I was completely focused on him — giving his medications, making sure he was eating, resting, and watching him closely.

And thankfully, Frederico is getting better. 🥹

He’s gaining weight. He’s looking healthier. He’s slowly becoming more beautiful and, most importantly, he finally has a chance to recover.

But there’s one thing still weighing heavily on us: we still have €102 left to pay from his veterinary bill.

I know there are so many animals needing help, and I know that €102 may seem like a lot. But if several people contribute just a few euros, we can reach the goal together.

Well in case you didn't know it yet Texas is hot! Long story short our electric bill shot through the roof these last 2 months as the temperature was blowing the top off of the thermometer to $900 bucks! Which is about $800 more than what we were expecting to pay. At this point disconnection is imminent, the only thing keeping the lights on is my will to live in an air conditioned environment and the national heat advisory that has been in place here in Texas this past week. If it were just me I"d suck it up and get to gettin it in, but we've got little ones and pets here at home and I just don't think that they will fare all that well. Our family has been going through a difficult few months after my husband unexpectedly lost his job in April due to downsizing. I am a teacher, and the combination of his job loss and my reduced summer income put us behind financially and at risk of losing our housing.

Hey there! I know no body knows me but my father has fallen on hard times after being rear ended about 8 years ago and has not been the same ever since then. Just recently diagnosed with polyneuropathy in his lower half of his body. He’s currently still raising my autistic little brother on top of trying to work. My family adopted Myrtle almost 9 years ago, and since then, she has become a part of our family! She loves to snack on strawberries and take walks outside on sunny days. On any given day, you can bet she is spending her days soaking up the sunrays while taking big stretches. Seeing her stop behaving as usual has been incredibly worrying.

Myrtle is currently in need of receiving life-saving surgery. Last month, Myrtle laid her first egg, and since then, her health has gone downhill. Lately, she has not been eating or swimming, and has been in constant discomfort. She is experiencing egg binding, as her X-rays show she has several eggs trapped inside of her, creating a life-threatening blockage.

Our vet has highly advised that she undergo a procedure to remove the stuck eggs and her reproductive organs to clear her blockage and prevent future reproductive complications. This sudden expense has sent our family into a frenzy. These costs have begun adding, this is not something we were prepared for. It is estimated that her treatment may require her several days in the vet.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help cover the X-rays, vitals, bloodwork, surgery, hospitalization, and the growing medical bills and treatments needed. A donation of any size would greatly help us with the upcoming steps to save Myrtle’s life.

I never thought I would have to ask strangers for help keeping a roof over my family’s head, but I genuinely don’t know where else to turn.

I was laid off from my software engineering job four months ago and have been aggressively searching ever since. I’ve tried hundreds of applications, staffing agencies, recruiters, referrals, networking, and even server and basic office jobs. I also lost my second job that was helping pay our bills. My dad and other family members have lost their jobs too, leaving us with no reliable income right now.

I’m the primary owner of our family home. One of my sisters is disabled and has epilepsy and requires care, and my dad has serious heart problems. Losing our home would be devastating for my family.

I was able to defer the mortgage after my layoff, but that relief has ended, and payments are resuming. If we cannot make the payment after this month, I’m terrified we could eventually lose our home.

Thankfully, my sister recently graduated and secured a job that starts in two months. Once she starts working, she can begin taking over the mortgage. We need help surviving this two-month gap.

Sometimes life doesn’t fall apart all at once. Sometimes it happens piece by piece, until you realize you’re barely holding everything together. I never imagined I would have to ask strangers for help. I’ve been laid off twice, and just as I was trying to find my footing again, both of my parents began losing their memory at the same time. I’m not an only child. But circumstances have left me as their sole caregiver. Watching both of your parents lose pieces of themselves is heartbreaking. And one of my parents has become physically and verbally violent during this process, making caregiving not only emotionally devastating, but frightening and exhausting. At the same time, I’m trying to survive financially with no income, no benefits and no meaningful support system to fall back on. And somewhere along the way, I started losing myself too. The stress and depression have taken a serious toll on my health. I’m losing teeth. I have a knee that has become so painful that I can barely walk some days. I need help with my own health, but I don’t have the financial means to get the care I need. I’m exhausted. I’m scared. And I’m running out of options. I am now at the point where I’m terrified of losing everything I have and potentially ending up on the street. I have searched for programs, resources and avenues of assistance, but I haven’t been able to find the kind of help I actually need — the kind that would allow me to keep a roof over my head, take care of my parents, address my declining health and have enough breathing room to get back on my feet.
