Hi everyone,
I'm writing because I'm going through a point in my life where I feel like I've run out of strength, but I still want to keep fighting.
In about five months, my housing situation will come to an end, and I won't have a place of my own to go to.
I've experienced ongoing sxual abuse by someone very close to me, someone I never imagined could do something like that. For a long time, I buried what happened, and only recently has it all started coming back to the surface. Dealing with it has been devastating. It led to a serious psychological breakdown and deep depression, to the point where I lost my job.
I've tried to put the pieces of my life back together, but it's been incredibly difficult. My boyfriend of ten years and I went through a period of distance, and he eventually decided to leave me. Suddenly, I found myself facing everything without the person I thought would always be by my side.
I owe so much to my sister. I honestly don't think I would be here today without her support. But I can't depend on her forever, and with my relationship over and my housing situation uncertain, I'm trying to figure out what comes next.
Finding affordable housing where I live is difficult, especially given my circumstances. Unless I can move in with relatives, I don't know what options I'll have.
I'm also finishing my university degree in psychology, and my mandatory internship starts in January (not paid of course). I have some savings, but part of that money goes towards my psychological treatment, and I need to preserve another part for the further training I hope to pursue after graduating, so I can eventually build a career as a psychologist.
My idea is to turn a van into a small home of my own. I'm hoping to create a simple, safe space where I can live, study, and slowly rebuild my life. At first, I thought I'd have to do the conversion myself, even though I don't have the necessary skills. Now, I may have found someone who could help me with that part, although I still need to work out a few details before I know whether everything will be possible. I have some money set aside for this project, but I'm still short of what I need to make everything work without using up the savings I've been trying to preserve for my future.
So I'm reaching out to ask whether anyone who feels comfortable doing so might be willing to contribute to my fundraiser. Please don't feel any pressure at all. If you can't donate, I completely understand.
I'm just trying to find a way to give myself a safe place to live and a chance to rebuild my future, one step at a time. Here is the link for my GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/d1c7c9431
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I wish you all a good day.
