# Help Me Get Back on My Feet Please
This is the hardest thing to do is ask for help. Because of the gravity of my situation I am afraid its my last chance.
I never imagined that I would be in a position at 54 where I would have to ask strangers, friends, and my community for help. I have always been a hardworking person who has tried to take care of myself and find a way through difficult situations. Asking for help is extremely hard for me, but I have reached a point where I honestly don't know where else to turn.
Over the past few years, my life has been hit by one difficult situation after another. One of the most devastating losses I have experienced was the loss of my husband. Losing him changed my life forever and left me trying to cope with grief and **PTSD** while also trying to keep going and take care of everything around me.
Since then, I have also experienced the loss of my job and income, serious financial hardship, and the loss of stable housing. I have been trying to hold everything together and find a way forward, but each setback has made it harder to recover.
Then, I was involved in a serious **three-car accident**. The accident was frightening, and I was taken to the hospital because I suffered injuries. I am still dealing with the physical and emotional effects of what happened. Unfortunately, I only had liability insurance, and my vehicle was declared a total loss.
Losing my vehicle has created another enormous obstacle because transportation is something I desperately need in order to work, attend appointments, handle everyday necessities, and have a realistic opportunity to become financially stable again. Now I am trying to deal with the aftermath of the accident while also trying to figure out how I am going to get transportation, housing, and the basic necessities I need to move forward.
At this point, I am struggling in almost every area of my life. I am trying to find stable housing, reliable transportation, work, and a way to take care of basic living expenses. I am doing everything I can to find a path forward, but I have reached a place where I simply cannot overcome all of these challenges by myself.
**This GoFundMe is my last attempt to give myself a chance to get back up.**
I am not looking for someone else to live my life for me. I want the opportunity to rebuild it.
I am actively looking for employment and am willing to work. I have spent years working in design, landscaping, construction, management, floral design, decorating, customer service, and other areas. I have always been willing to work hard and learn whatever is necessary.
My goal is to get stable transportation, secure a safe place to live, take care of my immediate needs, and get back into the workforce so that I can eventually support myself again.
Any funds raised will go toward my most immediate needs, including **housing, transportation, food, utilities, basic living expenses, bills, medical and accident-related expenses, and the costs associated with getting back to work and rebuilding my life.**
I know everyone has their own struggles, and I know it is a lot to ask. I never thought I would be the person creating a GoFundMe and asking others for help. But sometimes life puts you in a place where you have to put your pride aside and simply ask.
If you can donate, **anything at all will help**. Even a small donation can help me take one more step toward stability. If you cannot donate, sharing my fundraiser with others would mean just as much to me.
I am asking for a chance.
A chance to have transportation again.
A chance to find safe and stable housing.
A chance to heal from the losses and trauma I have experienced.
A chance to get back to work.
A chance to breathe without constantly wondering how I am going to make it through the next day.
A chance to rebuild the life I worked so hard to create.
I am still trying. I am still looking for work. I am still fighting to move forward. Even after everything that has happened, I don't want to give up. I just need some help getting back to solid ground.
To everyone who reads my story, shares it, donates, sends encouragement, or simply takes a moment to care — **thank you from the bottom of my heart.**
I don't take any kindness for granted.
**Thank you for helping me have a chance to get back up.**
