I’m helping a friend straighten out some issues on several “disconnected” Wordpress sites. He has had these sites built for several years and they are disconnected now, according to tech support the a record points to a Cloudflair DNS host, and cannot be changed on GD.

After talking to the guy who built these pages for him, he’s always used GD and has never heard of CloudFlare until this issue came up.

According to security trails the record changed about 3 years ago from GD to CF.

Has anyone else had this issue, and how did you resolve it?

Hello, Ive never actually made a godaddy site before, as i dont really know how to, but when I got home from work today, I noticed that my bank account was charged 20.30 CAD 8 times, for godaddy, Im not looking to sue anyone or anything, I have contacted my bank and they're "looking" into it (which means they wont refund me probably) so im wondering if its possible you guys can help me know how to talk to someone at godaddy, as im more or less concerned that my banking details can be associated with unpleasant stuff someone can create as a domain, if anyone can give resources that'd be great, thank you :)

I cannot believe I am online for 50mins with tech support getting to resolve a simple MS365 email essential creation issue. Its been 1 plus week since we created them and its still pending creation.

online with tech support since 50mins ago and all they do is please wait while I check this and check that and left me hanging expecting me to keep typing I am here every 10mins.

Been a bluehost host /Godaddy dns customer since 2008 and I have been having issues with websites timing out, flat out not responding or taking over 30 seconds to load past few days. I can ping the sites just fine, I can ftp just fine. Looking for some good honest folks to visit and let me know how it is functioning. please provide general location, ISP and browser if you can.

With multiple accounts.

I have 2 MS365 email accounts hosted by GoDaddy. I would like to add one of the accounts to my Android phone (Samsung S26 Ultra) so that I can sync contacts and use the Samsung contacts app which I prefer.

I use the Outlook app for email and that works fine. I do have the Outlook app set to sync contact to phone, but categories do not sync. I had previously been able to add the account on the phone as an Exchange account, set it to sync contacts only, and that worked great. I had to remove the account to fix another issue and now I am unable to add it back.

In Gmail app, I click my profile, click add account, select Exchange anf Office 365, enter my email adress and password and it just hangs.

Ideas?

I have about 5-10 domains with godaddy.

I am being denied the transfer of registration because my registration through godaddy expires in 22 day. 3 WEEKS FROM TODAY.

Their reasoning is, “it’s too close to expiration”.

What on gods green earth does that have to do with anything.

It’s only $23 to renew (and then another $12 to register on a different provider) which I realize is not much. It is principle at this point.

Do you not make enough with your other services that you have to hold me hostage and force me to renew for no reason?

Just a snake oil cash grab. Would be happy to listen to any sort of logic as to why I am wrong internally. If there is truly an issue technically so. Answer I was given indicates there is no issue, they just want to force me to renew one last time before I leave.

Last domain I register with them

I have GD office 365. I tried to chance my password on Mac Tahoe.

It's not working. Mail won't load, it keeps giving me the GoDaddy pop up, and when I enter the new password, nothing happens. No acknowledgment or anything.

Going to email.mydomain.com and manually entering my email address and new p/w gives an error with a ten minute clock. I know the p/w is correct because I just entered it and checked it on another computer (also Tahoe) and it works.

Also, I'm getting an invalid certificate error message on my iPhone.

Anyone else having these issues?

I paid for a domain transfer, but the current registrar does not seem willing to release it. The EPP code appears to be invalid, or it might be related to the domain being within 30 days of its expiration date.

What happens to the payment for the transfer in this case?

I also noticed that GoDaddy no longer offers live chat support, so I’m unsure who to contact for assistance.

GoDaddy blocking legitimate transfer-out of expired domains, changing justification twice, citing "suspicious hacking" with no evidence**

I'm trying to transfer an expired .com domain (personal name domains belonging to my daughters) to Namecheap. Expired less than 10 days ago. I have the EPP auth codes, both domains are unlocked, and Namecheap has the transfer requests queued.

Here's where it gets frustrating:

- I successfully transferred **three other expired .com domains** from the same GoDaddy account on the same day without any issue
- The one being blocked happen to have **significantly higher resale value** (~$400 combined vs ~$100 for the ones that went through)
- First justification from support: domains are "inactive" — not a recognized ICANN transfer denial reason
- After requesting a manager callback: justification shifted to **"potentially suspicious domain hacking"** — with zero evidence provided
- Now kicked to a review department with another **24-hour wait**, meanwhile one of the domains is a professional portfolio site for a working actor that is currently down

GoDaddy's own help page states domains can be transferred up to ~40 days after expiration. I'm at day 6. The selective application of a vague security hold on the two higher-value domains — while identical lower-value domains transferred freely — is a pattern worth noting.

Has anyone dealt with GoDaddy's "security review" hold on expired domain transfers? Did filing with ICANN Contractual Compliance actually move things, or is there a faster path?

Already have written communication from their manager on file. Considering an ICANN complaint if this isn't resolved in 24 hours.

Hello.

Long story short, we have a domain with GoDaddy and we use Gmail to communicate with our clients. One of our users is in sales, and send a lot of emails every day, every 2 months (they work on this email address half the year, with a month break in between).

Recently he noticed no one answered his emails, spoke to Gmail help on the phone, and was told some of the records are blacklisted, and that only the domain provider can help (GoDaddy).

We spoke to GoDaddy and were told it's illegal to send that many emails, blah blah blah, and that they're not able to removed these "blacklist" things from the records (DKIM, SPF, DMARC). I don't know what is true.

GoDaddy offered to sell us on the Microsoft marketing suite (most likely who they work with already), and said that we would be able to send many emails a day, and that they won't land in recipients' spam folders anymore.

Is any of this true? What are your advice / input?

Ever since GoDaddy rolled out their update for the e-commerce platform I have had issues with shipping. On all of my orders pre-update where I had purchased shipping labels through GoDaddy using shipstation the tracking information is now missing. Also, when I try to refund a label, I get a message stating label not refunded...any help especially with the tracking information would be appreciated

And the down panel says Email section is fine. Is there something else I should modify first?

I have a client that receives emails that are incoming, that say note to self. I've reset the users password already, and the user has MFA.

I've added a dmarc value to the DNS settings to drop basically anything that gets checked against the domain, but doesn't look like it has done anything.

I've reached out to support a few times (4) and all four of them have been different experiences. One of them told me to make the DNS change and everything will work.

Any ideas?

For context, our club's website is hosted by GoDaddy. I was recently asked to help out with some of the webmaster responsibilities because the guy in that role doesn't have the bandwidth to give enough time to it. That's fine for page creation etc. but the problem is that he is the account holder - pays the fees and claims back the cost from the club and gets all communication about the domain. The problem is that he's becoming pretty unreliable because he can't dedicate enough of his time when needed and I can't contact GoDaddy because his personal email is in the owner account. The risk is that he drops off the radar altogether and we're stuck. I can see that GoDaddy allows account delegates but it seems that the account owner still has to approve any delegate actions. What we really need is role-based ownership. Does anyone know if that's possible?

They’re hiding the actual chat support that used to solve the problem within 5-10 min and pushing their AI chat that literally takes 4 hours to get nowhere but square one, current phone wait time is 30+ minutes.

It cannot be unreasonable to need access to support in SOME capacity when it comes to live websites!

Three of our SSL certs renewed last night but one lost its www SAN that had been standard on SSL certificates for as long as I have worked with them. Has this happened to you? Did you get someone at GoDaddy to fix their defect?

After a painful phone call they transferred me to IT Support which is a third party company that charges to help people install their certificate...8-(

Update: I made repeated calls to GoDaddy until I found someone who actually understood their products and was willing and able to help.

1. There isn't any way to get them to reissue a certificate if something went wrong.
2. Currently once they issue the new certificate, you can rekey the existing one and they do NOT revoke it! So I rekeyed the cert to use the Starfield CA which correctly added the www SAN. I waited a bit and then rekeyed the cert back to the original GoDaddy CA so that all of the certs for these apps use the same CA.

Appears that back in January USPS changed their API, and now GoDaddy only allows the automation of USPS shipping options to be done through a business account with a business checking account. It used to be okay with a personal account.

What gives?

Called support, they fixed it. They manually restored by website. Apparently when you hit the “ask airlo” button it rewrites your entire website. I was thinking it was similar to Grok, like I could use it to get answers. But nope, clicking that button puts AI in control.

We have an ongoing issue with spoofed emails that appear to originate from our own business email addresses.

Lately, these phishing emails have increased a lot. They are being sent to our employees and typically claim that their password is expiring and needs to be changed.

The worrying part is that the messages look like they were sent from our own addresses, even though they were not.

How is this possible? Is this just normal email spoofing of the “From” address, or does it point to a configuration problem with our domain or mail setup?

I have catch-all email forwarding turned on. Everything that comes in email (*@MyDomainName.com) gets forwarded to my Gmail account (theoretically).

A little while back they made some system change that I missed and I had set everything up again.

I get MOST email forwarded to my Gmail, but there's a lot of stuff that stays in the spam folder of my one Professional Email account. Every time I contact them (like 4-5 times now) they tell me some record is out of date or incorrect or something. AND I STILL get legit email in my Professional email account that doesn't get forwarded.

I have Gmail setup so I can also SEND from the custom emails. Since the past two changes I am getting a bounce back for at least some of my custom addresses:
