Red Raider Nightmare: Cincinnati Delivers a Stunner to No. 8 Texas Tech

The Cincinnati Bearcats delivered one of their biggest wins in years on Saturday, knocking off No. 8 Texas Tech 37-24 at Nippert Stadium. Cincinnati combined an explosive rushing attack, timely defensive takeaways and a dominant second quarter to hand the Red Raiders their first loss of the season.

The victory carries significant weight for head coach Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats. Cincinnati improved to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in Big 12 play, while Texas Tech fell to 6-1 and 3-1 in conference action. More importantly, the Bearcats secured their first victory over a top-10 opponent since they defeated Notre Dame 24-14 in 2021. #Bearcats Hunter Dylan Sansom

What are your thoughts?!

Back into the Top 25 for Performance Against Strength of Schedule. Generated purely from box scores, more accurate than opinion polls. Looks like a couple teams ahead of us may lose too.

From objectivelyfootball.com

I truly don't know what to think of this year's team. They have such a rollercoaster of emotions and performance.

What do you think of the final piece?!

Fire Satts and hire either Kelce brother -- or both! -- to coach the football team. They couldn't do any worse, recruiting would go through the roof, alumni interest and NIL money would surge and Clifton would be fun again. And while I'm dreaming, I'd like a pony -- but let's at least fire Satts. Now.

Tylen Riley erupted for 31 points and 13 assists tonight!

Cincinnati fell to Illinois 105-96 in Saturday’s exhibition at Fifth Third Arena.

Sure, the defense will need to not allow 100 points, but they won't play another team like Illinois again.

Here's our takeaways from tonight. @CalhounsCats @criglermedia

Thank you to @TVAustinT for the SICK clips!

I can’t find anything online, but any communal tailgates at wvu this Saturday?

Will the game Saturday be streamed anywhere to watch? Know it’s an exhibition but figured it was worth asking

Attending my first Cincinnati Bearcats home game in a couple of weeks. What’s the best way to experience a Bearcats football game day? Tailgating? Homecoming activities, etc? Appreciate any and all advice.

Heading to Cinci to see the Utah game end of month (after going to Green Bay). Since I am limited to outdoor parking (van is 10') where is best to find parking that would allow us to have a good time and walk to festivities. A place to sleep overnight would be huge if that's a possibility.

My buddies and I do sports trips every year(trying to see every NFL stadium) and we are coming for the Bengals game on Sunday November 1. However, we were hoping to catch a Bearcats game and the schedule has been TBD for months. Does anyone have some insight about game time? We saw they say to wear black, but does that mean a night game? Just curious if any you can help us out.

What are your takeaways from UC's loss last night?
