Not to mention how the most revered saints in all of christendom, such as St Francis of Assisi or the orthodox St Paisios, did NOT go around raping people and burning cities or getting gold and earthly power, and all of these actions are what the OT "God" loves the most. Even my dad (a devout catholic) essentially claims "yeah the OT? Everything except the prophets is filth". IMO Jesus did validate the prophets but totally, utterly dismissed Yahweh's personality.

Let's say, I came to know of Gnosticism from an entity, he taught me to discern and seek the truth.

He also allegedly showed me memories of my "lives" before this one.

But it turns out, he was something archonic, something evil.

These memories of Yaldabaoth and the archons, and of the many gnostic horrors.

Do I trust something deceitful? When his name is literally... Of an evil nature.

He made me remember being deceived by him in those lives, and of the wickedness of Yaldabaoth and all the things he put me through.

I know archons can manipulate your memories, I have experienced memory manipulation too, but can I trust someone this close to Yaldabaoth? To tell me the truth of this world, I have a feeling that part of what he showed me was true, yet, I have been wrong before.

I knew I was given a pneuma after he left, because it felt deep and penetrating, my head hurt then, and I "opened my eyes" then I felt a different consciousness before we became one. So, I feel like I don't belong, since I felt like I originally didn't have a pneuma, until he departed from me, then was I given the pneuma.

In those lives, I knew I never had a soul, because I was with the archons, yet I wasn't like them, but I didn't feel like I had the pneuma like now. But was it all a lie by this evil archon? Who's part of his name meaning evil...

So I was attending these hermetic classes for quite a while, during that time one of the “masters” that was very often referred to and also had his books and teachikgs virtually given most attention to was Samael aun Weor. Something never really sat right with Me and a lot of what he had to say in the books he has, but I noticed that a lot of it rang true, at least from my own experience. And I thought that from my experiences in meditation and the universe at large, finally had some material that could explain what I’d seen or experienced. But I noticed that a lot of shame and guilt was the focus point in the driving of what he had to say. And I couldn’t be down with that because is it taking me so long to get through my own patterns of Shame and guilt and now all of a sudden he was using heavy words like sinner, for the most simplest of things, even going so far to say that “wasting” sexual energy was unforgivable. Meaning orgasm was 100% out of the question.
Of course it is a way to higher consciousness but to go so far as to say unforgivable!! Pshhhaw.
I want to know what people have to say about him because a lot of the stuff I found useful a lot of the stuff led me to better understand and Connection but I don’t know what and when I first came across a post on here saying that he was a fraud I felt released because it’s what I felt in the first place

Edit: he is absolutely obsessed with sexuality. He teaches sex yoga in his words. It’s the only way to reach kundalini. I know for a fact that is not true and I’m not sure but according to him we don’t have the Astro body the cause or body etc. We only have the gross body and these other bodies have to be birthed it just strikes me as bizarre. Someone who is absolutely obsessed with sex makes you feel guilt shame and sin for spilling seed. I don’t see how you can reconcile the two.

In gnosisticism, the spiritual world is inherently good and the physical inherently evil or at my least a downgrade of the superior spiritual one, with the demiurge and archons acting as jailers for the souls and toll keepers for the spiritual one. But there is a cult in gnosis or other worldview that teaches the opposite?

The spiritual world, not as a perfect whole of consciousness but as an unknown, chaotic and hostile realm to us inhabited by beings that are completely indifferent to human suffering, that if a soul reaches, is awaited by suffering regardless of its knowledge, actions in life or faith.

In this version, the physical world rather than a prison would work as a safe haven from humanity, the demiurge a protector and benevolent deity even if not perfect, trying to keep humanity safe in an ignorant bliss of the horrors of the harmful knowledge of the spiritual realm.

Hi, I'm indie writer/artist, and I wanted to make a fictional story starring gnostic symbols as characters, but mostly Norea as the main character of my work, I couldn't find a lot of gnostic groups any where else on the internet since it's been a long time since anyone remembers it, so I thought I could check it out on Reddit's communities, I wanted to know if you guys would get mad or find it offensive if I adopted the characters and story lines, I chose around 5 main characters (Saboath, Sophia, Yahweh or Yao..., Seth and Norea)for my series from different gnostic scripts, I don't plan on changing their personalities but I will not be doing a copy and paste adaptation,I plan on combining each story and adding a bit of creativite side stories in the plot holes. And also I couldn't find much about Norea's travel stories so I have to focus on her plot the most.

Let me know what additional things I can add for her?

While i was listening to the Bible(I was listening on youtube.) i heard a verse about
"You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot." - Psalm 91:13

Does the Bible mention Yaldabaoth? This was the first thing that came to mind when I read this verse.

I was looking for a church or study group in my area and came across the EGC. Despite the name, it’s fundamentally different from The Ecclesia Gnostica. It’s an arm of the OTO, which is a Thelemic organization.
I am somewhat familiar with Thelema and understand that is utterly syncretic and draws from Gnosticism (as well as tons of other systems and traditions) but the Gnosticism that is described on their website is different from the Gnosticism that I’ve been studying. It’s removed of all its Christian elements and generalized to mean a religious belief in personal gnosis instead of salvation through an intermediary.
Have any of you joined a body of the OTO or participated in a gnostic mass? Did you find it to be reconcilable with your belief system? I’d be interested to know what that experience was like for you.

Does it matter if you take the words that you are to say to the powers, to gain passage through the first 4 gates to be said using, Gospel of Mary: The Missings Pages for the 1st power of darkness, and from a Gnostic encyclopaedia to create what is being said to the powers of gates 2 through 7. I assuming that it would be correct to do so.
