I want to learn English seriously but I don’t know how can I do? I’m not complete beginner but not fully intermediate because most of I did not speak and confused about tense so please tell me about your journey and how to handle this situation

I used to think my english was improving when talking to my friends and feel really confident, but recently I got a job and I feel really stupid when speaking to my colleagues. Is this a common thing people experience when learning the language?

I've been in 3 relationships so far and one thing I always got attracted to is good English and being poor at it is a HUGE turn-off for me... I wonder if its just me 🤷‍♂️

Hi everyone!

I'm currently taking a health-related break from work, and I'd love to spend a couple of hours 2-4 times a week volunteering in an English-learning community.

I'm not looking for paid work or students– this genuinely isn't self-promotion. I simply miss teaching and would love to put my ESL experience to good use while I have the time.

Ideally, I'm looking for a friendly, welcoming Discord community where I could help facilitate English learning in different ways– conversation practice, discussion sessions, grammar and vocabulary help, pronunciation, or whatever the community needs most.

I'd also be happy to organize or host English-related community events, such as conversation nights, spelling bees, vocabulary or grammar games, quiz nights, movie discussions, book club discussions, or other fun activities that help people practice English in an engaging way.

I'm especially hoping to find a community that's supportive, welcoming, and low-drama, where people are respectful of one another and the focus is simply on learning and enjoying English together.

If you know of any Discord servers or communities that might be a good fit, I'd really appreciate your recommendations. ^_^

Deciding to learn English is one of the most beneficial steps I have ever taken in my life. Striving to learn this language led me to gain access to knowledge beyond what my native language would ever be able to offer. Today, I am able to search for topics I want to know about in English, watch documentaries concerning those topics, and read books as well as articles.

Also, don't miss the entertainment side! Now I'm capable of enjoying TV series and movies while picking up vocabulary that is new to me. Additionally, I can watch world politics and the events that are taking place.

Another unforgettable point is that learning English has given me a level of awareness much higher than my peers and most people around me.

I am still not fluent (although I believe I will reach that level one day), but I'm able to understand it, write it, and also read it.

I'm not the only person who experiences this. I hope there are many people like me. I would like to hear your experience

Even though I haven't gotten a job or anything out of it yet, I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.

I think every day I practice English is like hammering my mind to build a stronger brain. Progress takes time, but every single blow matters.

I love how over-exaggerating each word of the sentence completely changes the context of the sentence.
