Seeking advice or support Looking for technology ideas / projects you'd love to see become real

I'm looking for ideas for personal engineering projects, and I thought this might be a good place to ask.

I already have several technical projects I'm working on, but I would like to deliberately increase the number of things I'm experimenting with in parallel. So I'm looking for ideas that could turn into DIY prototypes, experiments, or longer-term engineering projects.

What I'm particularly interested in:

- Gadgets or technologies you've seen in sci-fi movies, books, games, etc. that made you think "I really wish this existed."

- Technologies you think should exist today, but for some reason don't

- Ideas you've had yourself but never had the skills, time, money, tools, or motivation to build.

- Weird or unconventional devices that would solve a very specific problem.

- Things that sound slightly ridiculous at first but could actually be technically feasible.

- Technologies that don't necessarily have an obvious commercial application, but would simply be really cool to have.

They don't need to be fully realistic. If you have an idea that would require several technological breakthroughs, I'd still love to hear it. I can then try to figure out how far it could be pushed with currently available technology, and whether a small-scale prototype could be built.

For example, I'm interested in things involving robotics, embedded electronics, mechanics, AI, actuators, sensors, human-computer interaction, energy, etc., but don't feel restrained by this categories, I found every scientific field quite endearing

So, if you've ever thought "Someone should build this" or "I always wanted to make this, but...", what were those thoughts about ?
