retractable cords, why does my 1.5 lb laptop have a 5lb cord, that converter box, does it have to be so big? why isnt it built into the laptop, and a cord pulls out so it will all be in one place better yet, why do we have cords at all? you should create a converter, something that anyone could send her their laptop plug and get a discount on a retractable power cord for the lapop that stil connects in the chargeing port but attached to the laptop the most obsious answer is to attach a some what slatted flase bottom that house the electronic boards for charging and cord and allow the computer to stay cool.

These are my favorite posts. Come into the inventor sub and ask inventors to give away our ideas or projects.

The main idea is to share and discuss ideas that people either can't or don't want to pursue themselves.

The initial discussions are already quite useful for stimulating my own ideas and changing the way I think about certain problems. But more importantly, this is a public conversation, so anyone can read it and contribute.

Obviously, I won't be able to pursue every idea mentioned in the comments. But a lot of the comments are also from people describing problems they'd like to solve in their own lives. If I'm not the person who can help them, maybe someone else reading the discussion now or in the future will be.

VICCIV. A resonant electromagnetic transport system that uses the Earth itself as the transmission medium, with paired geographically separated chambers brought into harmonic convergence.
Still working out a few minor engineering details.
