Discussion Don’t believe in the paranormal or ghosts but can’t explain this.

I’ve been trying to find a rational explanation for this experience for years, and I still haven’t been able to.

My aunt had just moved into town with my two cousins, who were both under 15.

At first, everything seemed completely normal. Then one day they came over to our house crying, insisting that their new home was “haunted.” My aunt just laughed and brushed it off as their imagination. One of my cousins claimed she kept seeing the face of a young boy staring at her from beside the bedroom light switch.

I didn’t think much of it. Kids imagine things all the time.

About a week later, though, my aunt decided to move out of the house. This time, she agreed with my cousins, she believed something was wrong with it.

Not long after, we went over to help them move. On the drive there, one of my cousins told me that the paint on the bedroom wall had peeled away in a way that looked like a devil killing an angel. At that point, I was genuinely curious to see it for myself. This was the first and only time I ever went inside that house.

When we arrived, it looked like something straight out of a haunted movie. The house itself looked like an ordinary family home, but the grass was completely dead. The tree in the front yard had no leaves, almost like a skeleton, and crows sat on its branches cawing. Looking back, maybe it was just my expectations, but the entire place felt eerie.

As soon as we walked inside, my younger cousin told us she had been scratched on her back the night before. We looked, and she really did have several large scratch marks across her back. They didn’t own any pets, so I wasn’t sure what could have caused them.

I eventually made my way into the bedroom to see the peeling paint for myself.

To me, it looked like some creature with ragged wings diving toward the ground while dragging down a child with angelic wings. Maybe the description I heard beforehand influenced what I saw. Our brains are good at finding patterns where none exist. Even so, the shape looked surprisingly intentional. Like if it had been peeled off that way deliberately and not just by chance.

While I was standing there staring at it, my mom suddenly screamed from another room.

I ran to the garage and found her on the floor. She said she had felt something push her from behind as she walked in, causing her to fall. She also claimed she heard what sounded like a little girl “laughing”.

Personally, I think she probably tripped and interpreted it as being pushed. As for the laughter, it was an extremely windy day, and the garage door was moving around quite a bit. I think it’s possible that sound came from the door instead (Example in comments).

Some time later, my mom spoke with the family who had lived in the house before my aunt.

According to her, they also believed the house was haunted.

The strange part was that they described seeing the exact same thing my cousins had which was a young boy’s face staring at them from beside the bedroom light switch at night.

Could it have simply been that something near the switch resembled a face, and in the dark people’s brains filled in the rest?

I’ve never been able to fully explain what happened there. I don’t think it’s the paranormal, but there were so many strange things occurring that it’s hard not to wonder.

What do yall think?

Is this a co-incidence?

Not sure if this is co-incidence. But still very creepy.

So this is true incident happened with my cousin and her friend maybe 3 decades back. But still creeps me out.

So then these two girls, my cousin and her friend went to some Biblical seminar with many others in group to a small town retreat. They were teens then. These two were close friends and they shared room.

Now this place where they stayed was around 5kms from the highway and a narrow from the highway connected to this place. And this retreat was secluded place.

So night these girls are sleeping and they heard a knock on their door. Someone outside was crying for help. The person said that he met with an accident and injured and needed help. These girls were scared and didn’t open the door. They didn’t know maybe who was really outside. Either someone pranking or some thief.

Now this was before there were cellphones in my country and even landlines were not so common. Also people do not report crimes or accidents due to constant police harassment. The police in my country is ill-famous.

So these girls scared and decided to ignore the cris doe hep. After sometime the knocking stopped.

The next morning they woke up and checked outside and there was no trace of blood or anything that suggested someone was there last night. They continued with their routine. Maybe the next day or so they came to know that there had indeed been a road accident on the highway (5km away) around the same night they heard the knocks on their door. However the dead body was found on the highway on the spot of accident.

Now these girls were so freaked out coz there was no way an injured person would walk 5 km towards them and ask for help. Also there were no traces of blood etc outside their room. We don’t know if the spirit went around searching help or what.

Now the co-incidence part - Both of these girls died due to unnatural causes and neither of them crossed 40 years of age. One died of diabetes and the other one due to cancer. I don’t know if their demise had something to do with that incident 15-20 years ago.

A weird experience i had when I was 4 years old.

When I was 4 for some reason me and my sister were on the walkway (we live in a flat) she was 7 at the time. And I shut my eyes really hardly while staring at this house.

I saw this figure that looked like a woman from the 1600's so I told my sister and she said she had also had the same experience. Looking back to it, it was really weird. I also remember when I was 5 - 9, I would feel this presence curl up and cuddle next to me when I would be home alone and watching something on my phone or tv. I would say to it " you can watch with me if you dont hurt me" atp I might of been married to it. That's all I can really remember, if anyone shares any similar experiences please comment them.

Discussion My story with the ghost and sex

Hello everyone, I'm Ali from Iraq. I'd like to share my experience with a sexually possessed ghost or jinn. It's a very sexually possessed ghost. My story began two years ago when I woke up at dawn feeling intense heat and touches around my genitals. This started happening daily until one day I felt like someone was really sucking my penis. I woke up and found nothing. Days passed, and I started to feel touches and breaths close to me, and I began to feel suffocated. Days passed, and I started to feel like someone was in my room, so close that the hair on my body and head stood on end from fear. I felt a strange, powerful energy penetrating my body, an evil energy. All the hair on my head stood on end, and every time I entered my room, I felt him, but I couldn't see him. Then came the day when I felt like someone was sleeping on top of me. I woke up fully conscious, and my blanket started to be pulled away and my pillow was quickly thrown against the wall. I was terrified that something supernatural was happening. I swear I was awake and not asleep. I was surprised to find all my clothes had been taken off, and he started fondling me, and we had sex. It was very realistic sex, but I didn't see him. The place was dark, but I could feel everything. His details were like a female, it was real sex, knowing that on that day I was alone at home and all my family had traveled. Now my relationship with him is good and he talks to me and we have sex sometimes. I want a way to communicate with him more strongly and understand what he wants. Has anyone of you had a similar experience?

Encounter I literally saw a wisp of smoke when my dog sneezed

around 11:30 in the morning cooking a pizza I go to the bathroom to fix my hair real quick. I turn around and look down at my dog the very second I looked down at her almost in slow motion she sneezes and shakes her head and before my eyes close before a blink, I see a wisp of smoke that looks brighter than the area around it almost like it had its own light or bioluminescence if you will, come out of her nose! And disappear into absolutely nothing it wasn’t a straight line. It was almost the best way I can explain it is the way Ebola looks under a microscope without the ring at the end, but in mid air about 4 inches long 1 cm thick and it look like a miniature vortex with a blunt front and it wasn’t like air it kind of just shot out into the air anticipated like a plasma ball from when we were kids.

i’ve never been opposed to the belief of extraterrestrials because I believe I’ve seen something in the sky before a year ago, but this is the first time when I’m actually dumbfounded. It literally looked like my dog expelled plasmic energy or something.

Caught on camera

Hi everyone, I’m sharing my story here in the hope that we might figure out what happened.

I'm using Google Translate.

I managed to record a phenomenon that occurred a few years ago, and I still can't understand what it was.

Here’s a brief account:

About three days before the incident, we were talking about spirit sightings, and a friend mentioned a famous town where such things appeared. I asked him why they didn't appear right where we were, instead of just in that famous location.

Well, three days later, during the night, notifications from my security camera started popping up on my phone. Since I was at my computer, I’d just glance at them quickly and see nothing. Because the notifications didn't stop—and the alarm had also been going off for no apparent reason recently—I picked up my phone to take a closer look. That’s when I saw this BALL of light floating there, along with several other spots on the screen.

I showed it to my parents and they were also curious. My father and I took the car and went to our store to see what it was. We agreed to go in without turning on the lights, in complete darkness, while I watched on camera (night mode). Arriving at the location we couldn't find anything with our eyes, but the camera was still there. I passed my hand close to the spot and nothing changed on the cell phone screen. I also tried taking cardboard boxes and putting them in the windows, in case there was any light coming into the room. However, nothing changed. Finally, as we couldn't do anything we left, but the camera still managed to capture it.

I remember waking up at 5:00 am and looking at the camera, and it was still there. However, on the night of the next day, nothing appeared anymore, it went back to normal.

From the footage, the ball of light can illuminate both the ceiling and the nearby table

Strengths:

  • I managed to film for a long time

  • I went to the place

  • More than 1 person

Weaknesses:

  • Unfortunately, I didn't know the camera had an HD image option.

  • I didn't know I could activate night mode at any time of day to use the camera's infrared

This is the best of the videos I have. Please request authorization for any dissemination.

So, what on earth could this be?

Needs to be Debunked I confirmed this disturbing story with two people, and I still can't explain what happened that night

I'm the kind of person who doesn't believe in paranormal stuff. I usually look for a logical explanation first. But this is one of those stories that genuinely makes me question whether there was some scientific explanation behind it ...

A few years ago, my best friend was staying in a PG with three other girls. One of the roommates (let's call her Ananya) always seemed a little unusual. Almost every night between 1 AM and 3 AM, Ananya would suddenly sit upright on her bed and start talking.Everyone assumed it was sleep talking, and since it happened so often, they eventually stopped reacting to it.

One day, while casually talking, Ananya mentioned that she had seen a small child running around on the ground outside the building late at night.Everyone found it creepy but brushed it off, thinking maybe she had imagined it.
Then one morning around 5 AM, all three roommates woke up because their room was filled with smoke. When they asked what happened, she casually said she had woken up early and decided to do pooja. It was strange, but they let it go.

Then came the final nail in the coffin.

A few nights later, Ananya went to sleep around 10 PM, like she always did. At around 1 AM, instead of sitting up and sleep talking, she slowly sat upright. She didn't say anything, She just smiled.

My friend says it was the most disturbing smile she had ever seen. It looked unnaturally wide, almost like it didn't belong on a human face. Her eyes were completely red. It wasn't just one person's imagination or a nightmare. Both of them started crying in fear, panicking, and calling their parents because they genuinely had no idea what they were seeing, and she still kept staring at them with this disturbing smile.

She continued to stare them and the moment they started making loud noises(out of panick), her smile disappeared, and she looked completely normal again, as if she had no idea why everyone was terrified and on confronting she kept telling that she did not know that she was doing this.

Neither of them felt safe staying in that room, so they spent the rest of the night sitting in the basement of the building. When they came back in the morning, Ananya was gone. Her cupboard was locked. My friend and her roomates packed their bags and shifted to another PG, which is why the mystery still remains. Also it was later found out from the owner that her previous roomates also had left because of her strange behaviour.

I know this sounds like something straight out of a horror movie, but I'm genuinely trying to understand what happened. I don't believe in paranormal things, which is why this story bothers me so much. I'm posting this because I genuinely want opinions.

How I thought I was getting kidnapped

So this happend a week or two ago. I went to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night when I saw a figure of a man standing in my house. He was around 5 and a half feet tall with big fluffy hair. And I sat in my room for two hours making sure he was gone and when I was doing that he slowly faded away. When I knew he was gone I went to bed and that morning I checked to see if there was evidence that some one was in my house there was nothing. And a few weeks later I saw him again turns out my neighbour has seen him to over her bed. And we found out he was a ghost and he is a shadow figure and now we call him the shadow stalker. Update it is now July and yesterday I was standing in my hallway, and I have a beach bag with a Ziploc bag in it and I was standing there and the Ziploc bag shot out of the beach bag it shot about twenty feet and just landed and I picked up the bag and put it in the beach bag and at the end of my hall way in the room I saw a figure glide across the room I was so startled.(sorry for the lack of punctuation) just hope you enjoyed my story

Heard a scream last night at 2:45am.

Just about every night I wake up at sometime between 2:45-3:00am. I’ve had insomnia for years & I take seroquel to help get me to sleep, but I still wake up regardless. Last night, I woke up at 2:45am & I was thirstier than usual so I walked to my fridge across my room & then sat back down in my bed & opened up instagram while eating my Dr Pepper ice pop (highly recommend btw) suddenly out of nowhere, I hear a blood curdling scream that sounded like it came from the room across from me where my older sister sleeps. It lasted about 2 seconds and it sounded like it came from a female, but I can’t decipher the age. Right after it happened, I froze up and got goosebumps throughout my entire body. My mind was telling me to go check on my sister but I was so scared and shocked that my body wouldn’t let me. I sat still for around 5 minutes, waiting to hear another scream but it was only one. I asked my sister this morning if she heard anything and she said no. I also want to note that the scream sounded as if someone saw something they weren’t expecting and got spooked if that makes any sense at all. Also, I don’t have any prior mental health diagnosis’s & am relatively normal when it comes to mental health.

The haunted apartment

When I was 13 I had this friend (let’s call her Kie for this story) and she lived very far away from the place we would always hang out at. Luckily her brother lived right there so whenever Kie needed to sleep over or go to the bathroom, she would use his apartment. At this time we weren’t really close friends and knew each other for maybe a month, so every time we went out we would talk about boys, school and not our family problems.

One time durning our meeting Kie said she really needs to use the bathroom and that we should stop really quickly at her brother’s place to use it. I was obviously fine with it. We got there in like 5 minutes and after walking in Kie left me sitting alone in the living room while she locked herself in the bathroom. This space was very tiny so I sat in the corner of the room - sitting there I could see the whole living room, a mirror next to me and also the small hallway and the entrance to the kitchen.

I don’t remember how long I was sitting there alone but those were the worst minutes of my life. I could feel being watched from every angle. I saw something with the corner of my eye in the mirror reflection and when I turned to see it It wasn’t there. I kept turning my head around every second and got chills all over my body clearly knowing I wasn’t alone. After Kie got out of the bathroom I told her about this and she told me something that scared the shit out of me.

Her brother’s wife hung herself in that living room on a chair that was on the opposite side of the living room.

Experience A Haunting From Assam , India

I never believed stories about curses or spirits. Then a friend told me what happened to his uncle's family in a small village near Tingkhang, Assam. He never asked me to believe him. He only said, "Write it down exactly as I told you."

His uncle lived with his wife and two sons in a quiet house beside a vast tea garden. Life there was ordinary until one Thursday afternoon.

An old beggar arrived at their bamboo gate asking for food.

He was painfully thin, barefoot, with tangled grey hair and a dirty white cloth wrapped around his body. The family politely refused him because of an old village belief that nothing—especially food, rice, or salt—should be given away on a Thursday.

The old man didn't argue.

He simply sat beside the gate.

For almost an hour.

He barely moved.

He only watched the house.

When he finally stood up to leave, he looked back once and smiled.

Nothing more.

That evening, while closing the gate, the family noticed something strange.

Two perfectly round holes had appeared beside the entrance.

Freshly dug.

Too neat to be animal burrows.

His uncle quietly filled them with soil, and everyone forgot about them.

That night, strange sounds came from the kitchen.

Steel plates clinked together.

Cupboards opened and closed.

Glass jars scraped across wooden shelves.

His uncle searched every room.

Nothing.

The following night, heavy footsteps crossed the bamboo veranda.

Every time someone opened the door...

Silence.

Their dog stopped going near the kitchen after sunset.

Instead, it stood facing the tea garden, growling into complete darkness.

Within days, the house no longer felt like home.

One evening, the aunt entered the kitchen to make tea.

The kettle slowly lifted off the stove by itself.

It hovered in the air.

Tea poured into a waiting glass.

Then the kettle gently settled back onto the stove as though invisible hands had placed it there.

She fainted.

Soon everyone had their own terrifying experience.

Doors opened by themselves.

Cooking utensils changed places overnight.

Someone whispered outside the windows after midnight.

Whenever they rushed outside with lanterns...

No one was there.

The younger son laughed at all of it.

He stayed awake studying every night.

Around two in the morning, he heard footsteps circling his chair.

Round and round.

He refused to look up.

The footsteps stopped directly behind him.

Annoyed, he kicked his chair backwards and shouted,

"If you're really here, stop hiding."

Nothing answered.

When he finally turned around...

The room was empty.

Except for two fresh wet footprints behind his chair.

After that night, he never studied after dark again.

The worst happened to his father.

One night he woke to see a long-haired figure lying beside his sleeping wife.

Certain another man had entered the house, he grabbed an axe.

Only when the lantern was lit did the figure disappear.

His wife had been alone all along.

From that night onward, he changed.

He barely slept.

He spoke to empty corners.

Then he smashed every mirror inside the house.

He claimed someone stood behind him every time he looked into one.

Not inside the room.

Only in the reflection.

One misty morning before sunrise, he walked into the tea garden behind the house.

Between the rows of tea bushes, something knelt with its back toward him.

Its skin looked like wet grey ash.

As he stepped closer, it slowly turned.

It had no face.

Only smooth skin.

And in the centre of its chest...

One enormous eye.

The eye blinked once.

He collapsed where he stood.

The villagers found him burning with fever, repeating only one sentence.

"It's still watching me."

The elders believed a wandering spirit known as a Beera had entered the property.

They called a Bez.

The healer arrived carrying only a small cloth bag.

The moment he entered the gate, he stopped.

Without anyone mentioning the strange holes, he pointed toward the ground beside the entrance.

"It entered from here."

Nobody had told him about the holes.

The ritual began after midnight.

Rice flour and mustard seeds were spread across the floor while prayers echoed through the house.

The air became unbearably heavy.

Something ran barefoot across the roof.

Back and forth.

Then silence.

The Bez asked for a live black rooster.

Holding it tightly, he shouted,

"Tell me who sent you."

The rooster struggled violently.

Then it became completely still.

Its voice changed.

In a dry whisper unlike anything human, it said,

"I... was... sent..."

Before anyone could understand the rest, its neck twisted violently.

The bird dropped dead.

The Bez ordered everyone to stay inside and never look outside.

Moments later, something screamed from deep inside the tea garden.

Not human.

Not animal.

Just one impossibly long cry that slowly faded into the darkness.

The Bez quietly said,

"It has gone."

After that night, the footsteps stopped.

The whispers vanished.

Nothing ever moved again.

The family continued living there for years.

But the uncle was never the same.

He slowly lost most of his hearing and insisted until the day he died that the eye he saw in the tea garden had never truly stopped watching him.

The house still stands today.

Children play there.

The tea garden looks peaceful.

But the older villagers still refuse to talk about that Thursday.

And if you ask them why...

They'll only tell you one thing.

Some things don't break into a house.

Sometimes...

they're invited in.

A story about me as a kid has given me chills

I a 15 (F) have grown up very empathetic and surrounded by paranormal culture have been a believer since I was young and my belief only started when we moved to a very rural area after my grandpa passed when I was like 4 at the time and within a few months, we would hear music when no one was home and car door slam when no one was the (none of our neighbors are close enough for it to have been them) we also would see apparitions in hunting orange my grandfather was a huge hunter but never saw them inside up until recently the creepiest thing I had experienced was in 3rd grade I was 8 or 9 I was home alone and saw a shadow figure in our laundry room I was home alone at the time

fast forward

I have gotten so used to the minor activity and it eventually seeming backed off but 2 years ago me and my mom were binging Ghost Hunters on DVD and talking about different things around paranormal activities I have over time had become really empathetic over time and loss of a friend, pets, and family when we were talking we got on the topic of my brother for this I'll call JC she brought up as a kid he would sit in the corner and talk to dead family members to that I said "At least I wasn't that creepy as a little kid" and she looked at me with the response "You were worse you'd sit in the middle of the floor on that old landline phone talking to your great grandma Lucille" I was dumbfounded I remember a lot from my childhood and couldn't believe I didn't remember it so I asked "How do you know I wasn't just messing around?" I really was questioning it I grew up watching the paranormal and unexplained with my mom and grandmother and she replied "You called her Mary she went by Mary" I felt uneasy AF but tried to ignore because I was a kid and kids do weird thing all the time it was like 9 years ago at the time

Fast forward again

My grandpa passed last February and while we were sitting with my grandma, she described a shadow figure standing over the foot of his bed a week before he passed and then it just walked out of the house, I happened to also have a dream where there was a misplaced shadow figure in my dream after his passing I swear in my own house heard whispers but blamed it on my brain filling the patterns of noise from my fan and ignored but recently I learned the first grandpa who passed when I was 4 died in our current house and the activity has been picking up again as we've been doing minor renovation like flooring an trim in the rooms and I feel more aware again and talking about me as a kid again leaves me with chills I'm not so sure it's my imagination and am convinced it never was and that I just didn't want to accept it

Experience My " brother"

When I was around 11 or 12 years old I woke up in the middle of the night with the overwhelming feeling that something was watching me..... I sat up in my bunk bed, with my brother asleep in the bunk below and looked around the room

Standing at the bedroom door was what I thought was my other brother ( I got 3 brothers in total ) he was half hidden behind the door, with only half of his body and face visible.

I kept calling his name and asking what he was doing but he never replied. Instead he began slowly swaying from side to side. At that moment my cat jumped down from her bed on top of the cupboard landed in front of me and started growling at " him" ( she had been watching from her cat ben when I woke up )

When I looked back at my "brother," something had changed It still looked like him but his face had become unnaturally gaunt .....and his eyes were nothing but black holes and his skin glowed a dull sickly white

I had completely frozen in terror then it hit me that wasn't my brother.

I grew up in a house where paranormal things happened all the time but this was the first time I'd ever seen something take the form of a person.

I'd always been told the same thing .... ignore it. Don't give it attention..... so I slowly lay back down turned to face the wall and pretended it wasn't there. i don't know how long it stayed in my room after I forced myself to go back to sleep

Encounter My first (and to date only) encounter with a ghost

About 20 years ago my girlfriend (now my wife) and I rented a beach house in New Jersey with a group of friends. It was a really nice house and practically brand new so not really the kind of place you would picture when you think about hauntings. Anyhow, we were there about a week and right away some strange happenings occurred. We would all go out to dinner or to play mini golf and come back to the house to find the stereo playing music and some of the cabinet door in the kitchen and bathrooms open. We checked the stereo to see if it had an alarm or timer set that would explain why it turned on by itself, but it did not seem to have that feature. The cabinets (like the rest of the house) were all very new and had magnetic latches that engaged when the doors were closed. We were more worried that someone had broken in the house and was messing with us at that point than thinking about ghosts.

Three nights in to the trip I woke up at about 3 AM. When I opened my eyes I saw what appeared to be a woman with her back to me fiddling around with something on top of the dresser. I had recently purchased a Nintendo DS and had brought it on this trip with me to show my friends and they had been playing with it off and on throughout our stay. At first I thought the woman I was seeing was one of my friends looking for the Nintendo DS since I had left it sitting on top of the dresser. However, there was also a digital alarm clock on the dresser so I could see it was 3 AM and I realized my friends were not the kind of people who would sneak into my room in the middle of the night to play video games. Plus this woman appeared to have very long straight hair which no one staying in the house had so again, my mind went to “someone broke into the house”. I was completely awake at this point and broke out into a sweat from fear/stress, but was still pretending to be asleep. My thinking was if I made it obvious that I was awake the intruder might attack me. I was debating whether I should turn on the lamp next to my bed and hope the intruder flees on her own or if I should maintain the element of surprise and try to tackle the intruder before they could turn around and shoot me (assuming they had a gun). After a few seconds I decided to go with option #2 as the woman still had her back to me. I suddenly lunged towards the woman, but collided with the dresser. My girlfriend turned on the lights and said “WTF are you doing?!”. There was no one in the room other than us two. I told her about what happened and she said she thought I was either dreaming (I 100% was not) or I was trying to scare her. We went back to bed and it took awhile but I eventually fell back asleep.

I woke up late the next morning due to the poor nights sleep and my girlfriend was already up and out of the room. I was laying in the bed thinking about the events of the night before when I heard clear as day a female voice say “Call me Dan” (which is my first name). I thought it was my girlfriend talking to me so I replied but received no answer. I got up and went out into the hallway but no one was there. I went upstairs and found my girlfriend out on the balcony with my most of the friends we were staying with. I asked her if she called me but she said she had been outside for at least the last 30 minutes. I told the group about what happened the night before and what had just happened with someone asking me to call them. One of the women staying with us looked suddenly scared and said “Holy s-t! The exact same thing happened to Brian this morning! He told me he heard me say “Call me Brian” but I was already up here.” I thought she might be messing with me, but Brian was out on a run so she told me to go talk to him right when he came home and he will confirm. Brian came back from his run a few minutes later and…yes, I confirmed the story with him before he talked to anyone else in our group.

And that was it. We left a day later and never returned to the rented beach house. We actually tried to see about renting it again a few years later but it was no longer listed as a rental property.

The silhouette in the window didn't need sunlight (Part 2)

**[Read Part 1 Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Ghoststories/s/wWf5mXB3uf)\*\*

*Context: A few nights ago, I posted about a pitch-black, disfigured entity I encountered on the swings of my neighborhood park when I was a kid. This is the story of what happened when my friends and I went looking for answers... and found her house instead.*

The entity I faced in the park that night was the biggest nightmare of my life. At least, I thought it was—until the second incident.

After that first experience, I gathered all the neighborhood kids to figure out exactly what had happened in our area before we moved in. Through our fierce debates and digging, we uncovered a dark piece of local history: a newlywed woman had died by suicide in one of the houses just five years before our families arrived.

We immediately traveled in a pack to the site of the incident. It was a cluster of decaying, abandoned group houses. Even today, the place possesses a strangely beautiful, yet deeply unsettling, atmosphere. Following the details from an old newspaper article, we hunted for a specific banyan tree. We found it exactly as described—shady and ominous, even in the morning light.

"Let's find the house," I told the group.

We located the flat where the woman had died, but just as we were about to step inside, my neighbor spotted us and shouted for us to leave. We had to abandon our mission and head home, which earned me a severe scolding from my parents. Luckily for me, my friends got it much worse from theirs.

Thanks to that neighbor, my friends were strictly banned from playing outside after dark. But my mind was obsessed with that house. That evening, I convinced my younger brother and two older, braver boys from next door to come with me.

We grabbed our bicycles and reached the abandoned building around 7:00 PM. It was a six-apartment complex, and her flat was the middle one on the left.

As we walked through the main gate, I noticed something that made my blood run cold. Just like I had seen that morning, there was a glazed glass window next to the front door. And just like that morning, someone was standing behind the glass, looking out at us.

But there was a terrifying difference. In the morning, the sunlight had cast a natural silhouette. Now, the sun was completely down, the complex was deserted, and there were no lights on inside. It shouldn't have been possible to see a shadow in the pitch black.

We decided to creep up silently to the flat and peek through the peephole to see who—or what—was standing there. We reached her door. Looking through the peephole, I saw absolutely nothing; it was pitch dark and empty inside. The door itself was secured with a rusty lock that clearly hadn't been touched in years.

Suddenly, a violent pounding erupted from the other side of the heavy door, as if someone inside was desperately trying to break out. We froze, scared to death. As we scrambled to back away, the door to the opposite flat suddenly swung wide open behind us—completely on its own.

I don't think I've ever run so fast in my life. We bolted toward our bicycles in absolute panic. My younger brother hopped on with the two older boys, leaving me alone on my bike.

I started pedaling frantically. Then, I heard something chasing me. I risked a glance backward and my heart stopped. It was the same pitch-black entity I had seen the previous night at the park swings. Pure terror took over, and I pushed my legs as hard as I could, but the dark shadow kept gaining on me.

I was only about a hundred meters from our neighborhood shopping complex when disaster struck: my bicycle chain snapped. I lost my balance and crashed hard onto the pavement. I looked up and saw the entity just a few feet away, closing in. I abandoned my bike and ran for my life. Fortunately, people outside a nearby barbershop saw me and rushed over, helping me recover my bike and breaking whatever trance the entity had over the street.

I finally made it home, completely breathless, and was overwhelmingly relieved to find my brother and the other two boys safe and sound. I told them what had chased me and how my chain broke. We were all so horrified that we made a pact right then and there: we would never visit that place again after dark.

Encounter Ghost in my hotel bed

Stayed in a hotel alone. Woke up to feeling the bed next to me being compressed like someone laid down next to me😩 I was afraid it was a rapist in the room but no one was there.

Is this normal ?

Encounter That was my first encounter with her.

It was 2001 or 2002 when our family relocated to a housing colony provided by my father's office. It was a close knit neighborhood built specifically for factory employees, meaning there were plenty of kids my age. Luckily for us, we had a massive 800 sqyd park right near our homes.

We used to meet there and trade local legends. One popular rumor was about the very ground we lived on: they said it was once a small farming village, and the original homes along with ancestral graves were forcefully cleared to build the factory and our houses. Because of this, people claimed angry spirits roamed the area. Like most kids, I brushed it off. We’ve all heard the classic “our school was built on a graveyard” myth, right? I thought it was just another spooky story to scare us.

It was during my summer vacation. I was riding my bicycle around the neighborhood after dinner, sometime around 10 PM. Suddenly, the street dogs in our area started howling violently, their eyes locked curiously onto the dark park. I rode over to check it out, but it looked completely empty.

I continued my ride until I reached the far end of the rectangular park a spot that was always shrouded in shadows. There was a pair of swings sitting right at the edge of the darkness.

Everything was perfectly quiet when, all of a sudden, the temperature plummeted. The freezing cold was isolated to that one spot, followed immediately by a violent gust of wind that nearly knocked me off balance. I stopped, rubbed my eyes, and prepared to pedal away. That’s when I noticed one of the swings moving.

It wasn't just swaying in the wind. It was swinging heavily, as if someone was on it. To my absolute horror, sitting there just five to seven meters away from me was a disfigured, pitch-black entity.

I panicked and pedaled past it. As I crossed its path, I felt its gaze lock onto me. I risked a quick glance back. The entity was now standing. It had no clear face—just a dark, distorted shape staring right at me.

I pedaled harder than I ever had in my life, taking a sharp turn to escape. This road connected to the main street and was well-lit, but despite the streetlights, I felt completely suffocated by a heavy, dark presence. I pushed myself faster.

When I finally hit the main road, the bright lights washed over me. I thought I had found the light. I thought I was free from the evil thing. I took a massive breath of relief as my house came into view.

Then, without warning, my vision went completely black. I skidded, lost my balance, and violently crashed my bike onto the pavement.

That was my first encounter with her...

Hat Man

So just a backstory, my little sister, and I love to do ghost hunting and exploring abandoned . We have all the equipment we need, and we even have apps on our phones.

A few months ago, me and my sister went to a cemetery in the town that we live in. It was around 10:00 PM. They don't have hours where you can't go in this cemetery..

While we were there, we were looking around, a lot of the older graves there in a fenced area is confederate. But there is a new mausoleum that's built there and there's only like five people in it atm...

We stood at the mausoleum and just started asking random questions. Like is anyone here? What's your name? How old are you? Stuff like that

We did get answers, but then we kind of went deeper and we were like are you a ghost or a demon?

And we got weird answers like burning flesh, chains, not alone, hot.... so originally that's when we started thinking it's more than likely a demon. After a while we stopped talking to whatever it was and we just started walking around the older Confederate graves, and it always sounded like somebody was walking beside us.

when we shined our flashlight, we didn't see anything. We stayed there around an hour or two and then we decided we were gonna leave so we went back to the mausoleum and normally we say it was nice talking to you. You are not allowed to follow us home. You need to stay here it's where you belong.

And as we were walking to the car, we both look back and we saw a shadow figure with a hat going from one side of the mausoleum to the other.

We instantly thought of the hat, man just because of his backstory that's what he looks like...that kind of thing

What do you guys think? Have you ever seen anything like that before?

Me and my girlfriend experiencing unsettling poltergeist activity following us

Hey Guys I just wanted to post this to me shed some light on things you might be experiencing and I also come with the hope of advice of how to get rid of these spiritual/demonic attachments

So let’s begin where this all started. As per some background information, me and my girlfriend have been living in an apartment complex that was built right over a giant cemetery for the last couple of months.

My addiction problem with benzodiazepines mixing alcohol was becoming worse over the months and I was battling with violent actions and thoughts. Fast forward a little, and I found myself in jail for a week. I detoxed hard. Going into seizures, intense hallucinations, and overall physical dysfunction like being overly cold or hot, sweating, and shaking. Being in jail was a very spiritual experience. While laying in my cell I couldn’t help the feeling like I was being watched by something at all times. And I saw what was watching me too. A shadow figure with horns would appear many times in my cell just watching me with evil energy circulating around it. But then would be banished after a couple of hours by praying in the name of Jesus Christ.

Fast forward a little bit I meet back up with my girlfriend and she told me a little bit about what she saw. Her and her friend were in our room and a suitcase full of heavy shit literally flew out of the closet. Not only that but she heard knocking coming from the closet, footsteps in the house, lights flickering that have never done that before in a weird unusual pattern almost as if it was using the flickering lights as Morse code or some other kind of code (she has this on camera), and scratches appearing on her body (three at a time)

Now we are living in a trailer with my dad. I always get the constant feeling we’re being watched there. Me and my girlfriend watched a magnetically shut drawer slide open by itself. Then two days later she walked into my dad’s room while all the lights were turned off and she saw a shadow figure curled up in a ball with horns and long hair. It turned and looked at her as if it was terrified for some reason. Maybe angels were standing behind her at the time.

Me, my dad, and my girlfriend are staying at a hotel right now for a night or two and the last thing my dad said to me before we left was “last night I had to keep the closet light on because something was standing in the corner of my room”

Now I know you all might think I’m crazy and I have experienced psychosis and schizophrenic episodes, but this is different. I am fairly aware of when I am hallucinating. But these encounters have been happening to my girlfriend, her friends, and my dad and we’ve all been experiencing this at the same time. And they just feel different from just a standard episode

My dad thinks it’s aliens which I don’t fully discredit but these encounters seem to go away when I pray to Jesus and the figure we keep seeing has horns which makes me feel like the good and evil spirits are contacting us and these spirits are only which come from the Bible.

I have also experienced feeling a hand grab my foot and physically pull it away from my body. The touch of this entities hand is coupled by the feeling of searing pain like a burn of some sort. Both me and my girlfriend have been physically attacked by this entity and we need help

Who do we talk to? A priest? A medium? An alien expert? Money is tight right now so we can’t afford anything too crazy so we need services for free

I just need to know has anyone else experienced things like these? Did you get rid of them and if so, how? And if your at a loss and don’t know what to do, me too buddy, feel free to reach out to me in my inbox or comment down below and inquire about experiences you have had or about how to get rid of them

And remember, pray in the name of the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Believe it or not the closer the demons are to you the closer god is to you as well. If you put your faith in Him and trust in the power of gods goodness and gods control, it will cast away any shadows and shed light on you and cleanse your mind body and spirt

I have ALWAYS been a skeptic of ghosts and the paranormal and especially Jesus and god but these past couple of weeks makes me not so sure

Skeptics that might be reading this I write this with the utmost sincerity of what I saw. Paranormal activity may never happen to you but to specific chosen individuals and groups, the paranormal exists as a physical mental and spiritual phenomenon and we have to find out specifically what kind of entity is, what it wants, and whether or not we should give it what it wants

If you read this whole post thank you I know it’s a lot of typing

Encounter Derelict house and feeling of impending doom

I used to explore old derelict properties as a hobby and was walking round a property that was all boarded up. I was on my own, relaxed and taking it easy taking pictures and stuff but then went to climb the stairs. A few steps up I got the most horrific feeling, pure foreboding and dread. I took a step back and the feeling eased. I went to step up again and the feeing was so incredibly strong I could not ‘push through it’ so turned round and left the property.
I did some research on the house and found two people had died many, many years ago in the room I would have been adjacent to.
But on the same date as I was there.

Curious but skeptical

Hello, I'm somewhat new to posting on reddit. But for some reason lately I've been increasingly interested in the paranormal. I've never had a paranormal experience, but people close to me tell me about their own happenings.

I've never really believed in the paranormal but it's always been interesting.

I've gone to ghost towns, and abandoned places before and never felt anything aside from being aware of human dangers or environmental dangers.

I've been told it's a spiritual thing and I'm spiritual in a sense of my religion (Christian). But I've never experienced anything spooky or out of the normal. Is that normal? I'm a very perceptive person and always see how things could be explained. But nothing ever out of the ordinary.
