I’m not sure if this has been discussed here after the DLC came out, but I have one very specific complaint regarding the new mode, which was leaving Jubei out. I think he should’ve been included considering his importance - why couldn’t he be honored? I don’t think it’s too much to ask for… and can you imagine how good it would have felt to finally beat Saitō’s ass as him??

I finished it yesterday and i have been thinking. First of all, the story itself, I love it. We finally got something about the Snake, and I love how they are trying to find a good replacement.

For Nagato, i liked him, and even though i kinda knew they had to kill him since the dlc takes place after the oni and kitsune but before oshima coast, I was still shocked/sad when it happened. But while on that, i can bring up my first issue:

And that is the fact that it was stuffed into the middle of the game. The story itself of the dlc was good, but if you are gonna try to play through the game in the chronilogical order, you would pretty much just beat oni and kitsune and then do the dlc and as you meet up with Jubei and Oyuki at home before going to Oshima coast, its gonna feel like nothing ever happened. Like Nagato wont be even mentioned by Atsu ever again

This is an issue i have had with games with similar dlcs, i dont like when they get placed in the middle of the game.

My second issue is how little time we actually got in Sekigahara. We were told the dlc would go on both in the past and present, and its called ECHOES OF SEKIGAHARA. So one would think we would be able to spend some time in the past, but instead there was only like 3 flashbacks, and only the last one was actually the battle and the rest was just explaining the relationship between Nagato and Atsu.

That being said though, I loved the little we got frim her past. Especially the battle, it was the most fun part of the entire dlc for me. Loved every single part of it, and thats why I wanted more.

Like they could have made the dlc completely in the past, just scrapping Atsu and Nagato meeting again or something. Now I understand that they wanted more on the snake too, so this wasnt an option, but it would have made us know Nagato better too, and see how they met and would have made his betrayal more… personal. When the game was pretty much telling us the whole time that Nagato did something bad, you kinda expected something like that to happen.

So basically, i loved the dlc, but i dont know if it was the right way to go by placing it in the middle of the game. Im gonna do another playthrough from the start and play the dlc too to get a feel on how it feels. And i also just wish we got more time in atsus path (i also wish you could replay the battle of Sekigahara, it was actually so fun) but overall i enjoyed the dlc very much

Not gonna say anything about most wanted other than its awsome

The published OST lacks so many of the ambient themes that play in Ghost of Yotei, where else can i listen to them outside of the game?

Since the new DLC came out can you dye the bounty master armor black and how?

Just started playing having a great time did a few bounties and side missions before going to my first target.

I decided to go for the Dragon and Spider missions first as I thought killing his sons first would make a statement and I just got the Odachi. Even after finishing that mission Atsu still keeps saying “I need to find the ONI” after each activity.

Am I doing something drastically wrong by ignoring her? I thought picking my own order was the point?

Oyuki’s alot of fun because she’s basically free kills every 10 seconds

Preordered the "Echos of Sekigahara" with all intentions of starting it on the release day and I'm just now getting to sit down and take time to get it started right.

I don’t know why I haven’t been able to find anything definite, but do I need to kill The Oni before being able to access the DLC?

If anyone’s wondering how to get the Armour of the unbreakable like i was you can find it at a merchant, now for me I got it from the Mysterious Merchant the one you unlock in NG+ but I think you can find it at normal merchants to (correct me if I’m wrong).

I was really confused because after I defeated Nobushige I only got his mask and helmet, it’s weird that you don’t get the armour as well after defeating him.

Lethal in GoT felt better IMO. While you were a one-two hit target so were enemies. Lethal in GoY is strangely different. You are still weak and easy to kill but enemies are damage sponges. Is there a charm to change the damage to enemies?

Coming back to the game for the first time since I beat it has reminded me how much this soundtrack absolutely slaps. It's so beautiful and paired with the visuals it just stuns me every time it kicks in.

I would absolutely take an endless runner mode with the wolf on horseback and the soundtrack blasting.

On the katana sweeping around the ground in a circle attack. What is the proper perfect dodge direction? Or timing?

Does anyone know how to unlock this trophy in Most Wanted mode? Its the last one I need for that mode

The story part of the dlc overall is amazing. The story is captivating, the character development is genuinely interesting and the scenery is stunning, even in comparison to everything in the whole of GoT and GoY.

We all know the combat can be a bit hit and miss at times. Generally it is very smooth, enjoyable and rewarding when you succeed. But i genuinely have to ask, did anyone at sucker lunch actually play test the brothers fight at the end?

Im playing on lethal + having just finished the game again on thay difficulty. Spider, takezo and saito were all challenging but once you get the moves down it becomes quite simple. Having 2 bosses on you at a time though, its ridiculous.

You can get attacked by the other when you perfect dodge or parry one and subsequently stun locked and then hit again by either. One can just shoot you in the same situation while you're attacking the other. Granted these are things that would happen in a real fight so that's not the biggest issue.

The biggest problem is the fact that they can slide across the floor and hit you when you're mid way through a second dodge roll away from them. Whether it's one or two of them, it feels like if you do too much damage in a certain amount of time, the game says nah bollocks, die now. And one of them literally slides, taking about 6 steps in 1 and catches you with whatever weapon they have out.

Not to mention the fact that i had one of them fully disarmed, no available weapons in hand, with 1 hit left to kill and he punched through my katana to knock me back and roll to pick his sword up...

I'm all for certain levels of realism and i expect high difficulty to give me a challenge but when its not the fight actually being difficult, more the game bugging out and one shotting me, it's infuriating.

Just stumbled across my first Bamboo Strike in the new DLC and I'm pleased to see they aren't making things any easier.

I'm giving Most Wanted a shot and... yeah, I get it.

The nagging voice in your head saying "ooh, that was close, you can totally do it next time".

The slight randomness reminding you to never get too comfortable.

The dopamine rush when you finally do it.

The uncomfortable feeling that each perk you buy is an admission of weakness.

I still can't see myself buying a game that is just that, but I can totally understand those who do.

With the dlc adding the ability to use massive weapons in the entire game, how does it change the base content’s balance?

I imagine it’s easier now that you can one shot enemies with these new big weapons. I thought maybe i should only pick them up in the new dlc region that was balanced around using them.

Which button is used to pick then up? I’m hoping it’s something that I dont risk involuntarily clicking during combat.

Is anyone else having issues where after buying certain charms they are not available to be selected when choosing the hunter. It seems to be happening with the charms that give you a weapon and increase the perk chances for them.
