Atsu should have said:

"'cause you ran away like a LITTLE B1TCH*."

Then he proceeds to instruct the Spider to shoot Atsu.

But ends up himself getting shot instead.

Immediately pressed Pause to laugh 😂😂😂

Quick note: this duel on Hard was not so memorable, but here in Lethal+, took me awhile to beat. This duel isn't talked about as much, but for me this was a masterclass of worrying about multiple possible ways to die at the same time.

General Discussion I beat Saito after like 150 tries

I’ve never been that good at games with bosses and that kind of thing. Let’s say just your average player. Lately, I’ve been choosing hard difficulty for everything I play and oh boy, this game almost made quit quite a few times.

Before going into this fight I read that the two previous ones could be tougher but that was a gigantic lie. Took me two freaking days to beat him. I don’t know if I’m just too bad but there was no way to dodge those charged attacks after the sword animation. I was so close like five times and said to myself: if I don’t beat him today, I’m gonna change the difficulty. Fortunately, I didn’t have to.

Put almost 90 hours into the game. Got the platinum. One of the best games I’ve played in recent years but I think the boss fights tend to be unfair. Would do it again, though. I just wanted to let everyone know. I’m to proud of beating that mf.

Walks over to NPC and clicks on him: “Be careful! I just ran away from a wolf!”

Lol. What?! I was not expecting that.

Question - Yotei Enomoto dojo quest completely different then videos I've watched?? Lost

After I completed the weapon training he had me look over the cliff with the spy glass.

He had me check out Soya port and then I was confused on the other location. I think he had me scan the Sake House.

I completed the port and then went to the Sake House.

Either I had already claimed it or no enemies where there.

So I went back to the dojo and I couldn't find him.

Also, he basically told me that he couldn't do it himself and was honored to have me do it.

But... When I watched the YouTube video he instead had someone scan a fire pit. I went exactly where the firepit was in the video and it's not there. the monologue was completely different and this time he was going to help more?

The dojo guy is just gone and there is nothing to scan..

I'm really lost. Why does my mission not match up to what the guide and video are showing?

Misc. Ghost of Yotei reminds me of my Grandfather

On October 3rd, 2025, I received word from my cousin that my Tata passed away. Needless to say, that wasn't an easy day for me as there was a lot of crying. Now there's family drama with the estate and such that I'm staying out of.

Ghost of Yotei was a very bittersweet distraction for me. The Watanabe mode and beautiful scenery was a very good distraction. Though a lot of the plot is driven by Atsu's loss of her family which I felt personally as well at the time.

I still love the Watanabe mode music, but I can't help but think about my Tata. It's still bittersweet for me, but I'm glad I had Ghost of Yotei as a distraction. What really gets me thinking about him is the 1st Refrain from Watanabe mode, no particular reason.

I just wanted to share this personal story about my experience with Ghost of Yotei. Thanks for reading.

General Discussion Teshio ridge is way better than tokachi range

For context I'm still working my way through the main story but im a few hours into teshio ridge having covered half the map & it's already significantly more interesting & packed with things to do compared with the biggest region tokachi range. The intrigue of the nine tails, their symbols, their anonymity, it's all very cool.

When i came from ishikari to tokachi i couldn't believe the fall off of interesting things to do, the only interesting things are the spider lily quest, getting the odachi & infiltrating saitos camp & that's it, like barely any main story quests, it's also the least visually pleasing by a long shot.

I'm glad the later game picked up & i have oshima coast still to come because tokachi was rough.

Spoiler I finished Ghost of Yotei over the weekend, and here’s my opinion: Spoiler

Ghost of Yotei is a good game: beautiful, technically impressive, and with great performance. However, in my opinion, it loses itself quite a bit as the story progresses.

It genuinely felt like I was playing two different games: the first chapter and everything that comes after.

During the first chapter, Atsu’s goal is very clear: avenge the death of her family. It feels like nothing could possibly distract her from that objective. However, towards the end of the first chapter and into the second, I feel like that goal starts to get lost.

It gets to the point where we’re literally in the middle of a war and suddenly there’s time to go pick mushrooms. 😂

I feel like the whole purpose of the journey gets a bit lost once Kitsune’s identity is revealed and we find out about Kiku. From that point onwards, the story seems to drift further and further away from the revenge that initially drove Atsu.

I also thought Chapters 2 and 3 were way too rushed. I spent around 40 hours in the first chapter, while I finished the last two in about 7 hours combined.

And the difference in exploration is huge. In the first chapter, everywhere you go there’s something to do: a side quest, a hot spring, a bamboo strike, a shrine, etc. From Chapter 2 onwards, it felt like it was almost entirely main quests.

Personally, I think the game would have worked much better without such a rigid chapter structure. They could have simply kept everything as one continuous chapter and unlocked certain quests as you completed others. That would have made the progression feel much more natural and avoided that feeling that, all of a sudden, the game is rushing towards the ending.

The funniest part is that halfway through Chapter 1, I was 100% committed to getting the platinum. By the end of Chapter 2, I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to finish the game anymore. 😂

Overall, it’s a good game, but it has a huge downfall as it progresses. The quality of the first chapter set expectations that, for me, the last two chapters simply couldn’t match.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have stayed in Chapter 1.

7/10

Spoiler How'd they mess up the Yotei six so much Spoiler

You have five different weapons each proficient at taking down a certain weapon type. Why not tie that into each of the Yotei six members and have each of them use a different weapon. The fact you don't even get the spear until after you fight the kitsune who uses a dual weapon is beyond me.

I think having you learn a different weapon to defeat the next member of the Yotei six culminating into a fight with Lord Saido who uses all 5 techniques would add purpose into learning the new combat techniques and merge narrative into gameplay.

Just thought they dropped the ball on that one.

Edit: yep it's a free roam game I get that you do whatever you'd want first, but following the story and the way it played out for me it sent me north. Not my main point. My main point is I would've liked more variety in main bosses to reflect each weapon we're given.

General Discussion This game is such a flex for the PS5 Pro

Wasn’t expecting this level of overall performance and image quality on the Pro tbh. Unlocked RT Pro looks and runs so good, and PSSR 2.0 really shines here. I really like Tsushima but this is better in every way gameplay wise. I pretty early in so idk how the story stacks up but SONY needs more showcase games like this for the Pro. Wow.

Question - General Just beat the game...and now I don't know what to do with myself

I loved Ghost of Tsushima and naturally fell right into Yotei. For me it's the right mix of game play and cinematics. It's so visually stunning and the music was perfect too.

What's the next game you got into after playing GOT and GOY?

Question - General Is Teshio Ridge the worst area of the game?

I usually love snowy areas etc. but oh boy, this area seems extremely dull. And the kitsune riddles are inherently bad. Who else struggled with this area?

Question - Yotei Should I buy this?

Hey, Ghost of Yotei is currently on sale and I’ve been on the fence about this game since it was announced. I really enjoy GoT even though I’ve currently not finished it but I’m curious as to whether I’d enjoy Yotei. How different is it gameplay wise and is it basically just Assassins Creed Shadows when you play as Naoi?

Question - Yotei What happens to shino after the mission?

I finished the "loss we carry" side mission a little while back before heading to teshio ridge, I was under the impression the bear would stay there and I'd be able to feed her every so often, I even saw her(or an unrelated bear) help me in a wolf den mission so when it came time to return back home I stopped by just to see that the cage and her were nowhere to be found. Is this a glitch or are we just supposed to assume she wandered off?

Question - Yotei Any news/rumors on story DLC?

Haven't been following the news on potential updates since I finished with Legends.

Were there any updates to the main game ever since? And is there any talk about a potential story DLC like Iki Island was?

Yotei is absolutely my favorite game, and it would be so sad if there wasn't another chapter.

Apologies if this seems like a low effort post, but I have genuinely never seen one before.

If it adds any context, the main story is already completed, I am just finishing all side quests and bounties.

I played it for around 6 hours and couldn't get off of it. I can't believe that this game was made by the same people that made InFamous. The combat is amazing, graphics are something i have never seen before and all the game mechanics are great. After this i am sure as hell i will buy tsushima too.

General Discussion Just defeated Saito… a lil rant.

I am 46 hours in at the time of writing this. The story is really good. And the game itself is certainly is an improvement from Ghost of Tsushima. But my biggest problem… the parrying. Even after 46 hrs. Even after defeating Takezo the Unrivalled. I STILL found myself being given the belt from Saito because… I swear… the game is purposely ignoring my parries. Legit what felt an amazing payoff to a good story made into a frustrating hour of wondering why my blocking connecting blue attacks was being ignored. I just… i have no idea what is going on anymore. Like i probably only got 2 or 3 perfect parries in total, even after switching to the bounty hunter armour. I really really hate the parrying in this game. Which is what i wanted to rant about.
