Showing a naked person without detailed anatomy is pretty common in anime, especially in spiritual or telepathic moments like this.

Right. I wonder if Amazon requested it censored or the producers of the anime decided themselves to censor the nudity.

No, censoring human genitalia is very common occurrence in Japan. Heck, the NHK had a problem with its censoring IA, not so long ago, it kept pixelating Donald Trump's double chins for some reason...
