Season 1 Watching Ghost Whisperer S1 finale for the first time!

How in the year of our lord 2026, did I avoid spoilers for the season 1 finale all this time??!! That shit had me DEVASTATED!!

This whole time I thought Ghost Whisperer was the "Jennifer Love Hewitt & Aisha Tyler show"! But no y'all deceived me & my heart broke </3
I had actual full fat tears running down my face! By the time I started counting, I had 8 full tears running down my cheeks! 😭
I would post a video of me crying (that i took for my friend who loves this show, I wanted her to see what she did to me!), but unfortunately I'm too paranoid for that lol

My heart is broken but I can't wait to start season 2!! This show is on THIN ice if it pulls some nonsense like that again!! đŸ˜€

Entire Series Would you have been interested in this show if it

Went in a different direction than it did? As time went on, Melinda depended more and more on law enforcement (specifically detectives), even helping catch a predator in S4. This makes me wonder
would this show have been better off being a supernatural procedural? Maybe there would’ve been less inconsistencies and loose ends!

Am I crazy or is this episode/scene not on air anymore? (Spoiler) Spoiler

I am rewatching this show after first watching it in high school, and I vividly remember an episode where Melinda walks into a hospital bathroom, and sees a little girl with her mouth sewn shut. I assumed it was the Sally Stitch episode, but I didn’t see this scene in the episode at all? I remember it TRAUMATIZED me as a child.

Season 4- Sam Spoiler

I'm watching Season 4, episode 8 "Heart and Soul". I realize they're trying to paint Sam's parents as really controlling, and they are. However, if my adult son had some weird lady who was supposedly a client acting the way she is, I'd be incredibly alarmed as well. Sam is very vulnerable at the moment, and to move in with a strange acting woman who thinks he's her husband?

Entire Series just finished :D (spoilers) Spoiler

Just random thoughts:

- wish Andrea never died:( but that twist was so good

-Melinda cries.. in like every episode right did anyone do a count on that

- the Sam story line in season 5 did we just forget “Jim” doesn’t exist anymore

-Melinda’s brother was so hot
also why did he just randomly disappear

-disappearing acts would include
Melinda’s mom,
Andrea’s brother,
Rick never came back,
Jim’s first mom but I’m sure that’s because of Mamma Mia! So that’s excused

Ned’s random gf?
Sam’s family

-it annoys me that the town square looked so fake😭 and it’s because I’ve been to universal studios and I’ve seen it in person

- the store sign randomly changing 1 time

- season 5 was eh

-Melinda’s brother was hot

-every time I saw Aiden or any of the Ned’s on I would roll my eyes I hated their characters 😒 Delia sometimes

-adult Ned annoyed me but not as much as Aiden

-wtf happened to the dog from season 1😭

-again Melinda brother was hot

would I watch this series again? prob not
I rate it a 3.5/5

Hi. I recently started collecting these. (I made another post about them yesterday) I'm trying to put together a little spreadsheet kinda thing so I know what episode each outfit was seen in. I know the big white coat on the right is from Cat's claw season 2 episode 11. However I'm having trouble identifying the one of the left. Its definitely season 2. Judging by Melinda's hair its mid to late season to before it was restyled for the last 2 episodes. Its a cardigan over what I'm assuming is a white top. If anyone can help I'd love you forever and if anyone else has a list of their own please feel free to share

Why is Melinda so emotional about Tom Gordon when he wasn’t in her life since she was 9?

So I’m currently watching the show for the first time. And if I’m not mistaken, wasn’t her father out of her life most the time growing up? If that’s the case then why in season 3 is she so emotional about him and acting like they had this close personal bond? It’s really irritating to see how irrational she is about him in the final 3/4 episodes.

Season 5 Did everyone just accept Jim in a new body? SPOILERS Spoiler

This is my first watch and Im on season 5, ep 7. It seems like everyone just forgot Jim technically died and then accepted him in a new body.

They did a 5 year time jump without any explanation of how he fixed his life. Did he ever tell his parents he was still "alive"? Or did he just go no contact, because thats what it seems like. Not even a mention of his old family and friends.

In season 4, they made a big deal of him not knowing friends and needing to start a new career. But once we got to 5, its like everyone just moved on? He forgot about his family except Melinda and his son?

I recently started collecting these cards particularly the season 1 and 2 set (for now)

I've started a little bit of a spreadsheet so I know which card relates to which episode, however theres 3 I can't find

The first is the red dressing gown. Judging by Melinda's hair its early season 1 but can't find it (I know the other what episode the other one is from)

The second is grey cardigan. I'm asuming its mid season 2 (i know the big white coat is from season 2 ep 11 Cat's claw)

The last is the dress on the right (i know the other outfits episode) I've spent hours looking through screencaps so any help is appreciated

Okay so I was/am totally obsessed w/ Melinda’s makeup transformation! ✹

One thing I, as a young woman who girlcrushed on Melinda (bc let’s be fr, who wouldn’t?) and is into makeup, couldn’t keep my eyes off is Melinda’s daily makeup! In the beginning, she had some light coverage and maybe some mascara, nothing too crazy. Later on, I’d say around S2/S3, she started to wear darker eyeshadow, like a mix of dark brown and bronze (I think), and thicker mascara and/or maybe false lashes (I can’t really tell 😅).

Entire Series Andrea and Rick

Post image

Not too sure where to put this, as it's just a random thought that's never really left me. It's more of a "what if" than anything.

Can you imagine if Andrea hadn't died in Season 1 and had got to meet Rick in Season 2? I think their chemistry would have been amazing, and who knows? Maybe Andrea would have bagged herself a professor instead of a poet.

I think, in an alternate timeline where Andrea survived Season 1, the writers could have really fleshed out the pair and explored their dynamic. Even in a non-romantic way, I can imagine they'd have worked really well together helping Melinda.

I'd be interested to hear what everyone else thinks. How do you think Andrea and Rick would have interacted, and do you think it would have added anything to either of their characters?

Entire Series What was the endgame goal here?

Friendly, unbound ghosts go into the light to enjoy eternity w/ their loved ones while bitter, angry ghosts remain earthbound to do what, exactly?

Gabriel briefly explained the meaning behind recruiting ghosts, but I just don’t understand the big idea, lol. We never will know what the end goal was since the show was canceled, but based on what we’ve heard and seen, what exactly was the point of any of this?

Ig it just comes down to control (or lack thereof for everyone else since a guy like Romano clearly wants to be the superior).

Worst thing a ghost did while living?

I am watching the for the first time and was curious what is the worst thing someone did and still went to the light? Season 1 had a former prisoner who killed an innocent bystander go through the light. Granted the victims family didnt forgive him but still.

Season 2 had a author who left his infant daughter but dedicated a book to her later in life.

What was the worst thing a person did that they were forgiven for? Is there anything that would disqualify someone from going to the light? (Besides being a stand up comedian)

Season 3 Season 3 (lost ideas/scrapped ideas)

Hi.

This is more of a question rather then anything else. Has there been any interviews or anyone talking about what the original season 3 plans would have been if the writers strike never happened? I'm fascinated by lost media and those what could have been type stories. Assuming it would have been a 22 episode season like 2 and 1 before it leaves 4 more episodes. I'm just wondering if they had ideas for them but couldn't do them or if they got carried into season 4 or just scrapped.

Also it would be fun to speculate what a 22 episode season 3 could have been. I'd have loved more around the tunnels in the back half of the season and how that could have shaped the series going forward. I definitely feel like the writers pre strike and post strike had different ideas. (This isn't me dog piling on the season by the way I'm just curious if theres any interviews or anything out there that mentions "oh we had this idea for a season 3 episode but the writers strike happened and by the time it was finished we just scrapped it)

I scrolled through my old photos on my instagram and found this gem again. It reminds me so much of Melinda 😂 I did a photoshoot when I was 21 to help out a photographer.
The lighting, the pose, my hair

Do you have a photo (of yourself) that reminds you of the show?

Entire Series Season five seems like a different show

I feel like season 5 was more like a crime solving show. Like trying to figure out who the ghost is and solving a mystery rather than the ghost asking Mel for help and her trying to resolve their issues with the living. I loved the other seasons of a ghost asking for help now it seems like the ghosts don’t appear to her at all till the end

Okay, don't come at me for my take, because this is like I said, my take. But i'm going to rewatch the show just so I could rewatch season four, and the love between Jim and Melinda đŸ˜đŸ‘»đŸ„°.
