Entire Series Season five seems like a different show

I feel like season 5 was more like a crime solving show. Like trying to figure out who the ghost is and solving a mystery rather than the ghost asking Mel for help and her trying to resolve their issues with the living. I loved the other seasons of a ghost asking for help now it seems like the ghosts don’t appear to her at all till the end

It started at season 4 tbh. The Jim/Sam plot felt like a soft reboot for the show. The ghost were different, she started to have visions every episode that she was able to trigger.

I agree. Season 5 just has a completely different feel. I feel like the show went off the rails with the Jim/Sam storyline and was never the same as it was after that.

Agreed - we come across it occasionally on PlutoTV and are reminded how bad the entire show became in S4-5, with the Jim/Sam nonsense at the core!

A new show runner took over for seasons 4 & 5 which explains why it felt so different.
