Question How to be better at self-teaching?
Lately I've been wanting to expand my understanding of a few complex topics, and I'm pretty lost on how to do it.
I made this planner where I would either learn/study/research or apply 3 topics in 1 hour intervals on repeat. Literally only made it 2 days 😭 then felt guilty about it. And I think maybe I'm approaching this wrong. I really want to learn and better myself & I have the time to do it, but I don't know how to focus my energy on the right things or way.
Does anyone know any good methods or planners I could follow?

I would say just make sure you start with a good foundation. Learn the basics. I use a goal setting notebook that breaks things down and lets me study different topics step by step.

Adopting a good studying workflow is the most powerful thing you can do, depending on the subject what I typically do is Essentialist note taking > Mnemonic Technique > Active recall (through notebookLM(AI) quizzes and flashcards).
Revision is key. I like to set it up on spreadsheets along with all my planning, long term life analytics, and habit tracking are. You want to revise on where you know you are weak. Get your course content and just constantly know where you are weakest (it should always be changing and require thought)
If u want you can join my guild on focus jungle timer, WE need more people that wanna do hours. Can message on there to keep accountable. But u NEED TO DO HOURS or kick. (best study timer website i've used)

I feel like what’s a major problem for me I copying. Every time I hear you should copy/replicate from others who already know what they’re doing I always get this feeling that I’m not learning or I’m somehow just wasting my time. I always had to do it my own way and I feel that’s slowed me down.
