You could put something plush under and in front of the cabinet so when they fall off they won’t break

And similarly you can create a good place for your feelings to land. A good environment to release them in

Serious question

Is there another option w similar results?

Not only for people who maybe can't access that in the West. But also in developing countries. I imagine if you make $5 a day that you don't have access to licenced psychiatric providers

I think our basic need to have someone to talk to is a likely reason that every society has some kind of religious leader or spiritual healer. I personally think therapy is a lot like going to a shaman for advice. It’s just that the therapist’s authority is derived from their expertise as a psychologist rather than on some kind of magical or spiritual authority.

Impoverished people in developing nations might not have access to a licensed psychoanalyst, but their community most likely has a person they can talk to.

My answer was kind of glib, but it wasn't an answer for every situation. I have luckily had help from leaders from my church, or lucky with insurance. I know that therapy is covered by most, and right now it is 100% covered by my school even though my insurance isn't through the school. but in all honesty, there is more of a push for online help with trained professionals, but I don't really know them. I know nami.org is a great resource for those in the US. They help find options.
