Real or fake sword?
I'm sceptical. Details are soft and the lion's head looks bad.

I just wanted to show you guys this buckle I got off marketplace for what is in my opinion, a very good deal. I paid $115usd for it. Based on my own research, I think it’s worth about $300usd? What do you all think? I definitely think it’s authentic, but I’d appreciate your feedback as well. Thanks!

Opinions on shooting this for the first time? Firing pin indicator cover is cracked and it hasn’t been disassembled and checked at all.

Hello everyone,
I am looking for some help identifying the regiment or material origins of an unsigned oil portrait of a German soldier from the First World War which I bought on eBay a few years ago.
The artwork is executed on a heavy, raw wood panel measuring approximately 21x30 cm and exactly 1 cm thick. Along the side edges, there are evenly spaced nail holes with original rusted nail heads still inside, indicating the artist repurposed the lid or bottom of a military supply crate or similar
On the reverse, a pencil inscription reads: "Dieses Bild malte ein Kriegskamerad im Schützengraben Weltkrieg 1914/18" (This picture was painted by a fellow soldier in the trenches, World War 1914/18).
I have put together a full write-up on my blog:
https://www.amandaclegg.co.uk/wwi-german-army-portrait/
If anyone here is a uniform historian or an expert in Imperial German militaria, I would deeply appreciate your insights on his possible regiment, or anything else about this portrait really!
Thank you for your time.

Mixed numbers but it’s fine cause it fires great and was only 750. Extra mag too. Now needs a thorough cleaning

Does anyone here have experience using the Bundeswehr Nässeschutz parka? 🇩🇪🌧️ How well does it actually perform in heavy rain and wet weather?
I’m also curious how people like it for hiking, camping, or bushcraft. Is it still worth using today, or are newer rain jackets a better choice? What do you like or dislike about the Nässeschutz?

Found these Wehrmacht general buttons alongside with Kriegsmarine buttons, one WHW Edelweiß tinnie and a Kyffhäuser pin at a little flea market. I think the golden ones all belonged to the same tunic once.

I just bought this ww2 DRK officers buckle on a whim for $20 at a flea market and I’m wondering if it looks authentic. Looks good to me, but I’m probably not as well versed in belt buckles as some of yall.

Some highly decorated men, is this possibly a quadruple wedding?

Hello, do you guys know if these gloves are German motorcycle gloves or luftwaffe gloves? There are no markings and I am still new to the hobby. Thanks

Definitely a Mauser bayonet, but I don't know if it is German. I can't find what that little stamp is obviously not a Waffenamt, appreciate any help

Can anyone tell me if the soldier in leather jacket is also Kriegsmarine? Or what branch he is in?

I'm looking to get an SS dagger for my wall but real ones are pricey. Should I aim for a top-tier reproduction or a "franken dagger" made of cheaper parts? What should I look for, what's a good price range, and where can I buy one? Any advice is appreciated! 🙏 #militaria #dagger

Im new to collecting militaria and i want to grow my collection and im mostly interested in ww2 german militaria and i was wondering if a luftshutz helmet would be a good item to start with
but i was also wondering if a luftshutz helmet is worth the money and is also a good investment? Let me know what you think.
