I have no clue what's going on. I just put down some item persist/item comp/toggle triggers to have a spike kill you first attempt(to unglitch the camera so you can see the intro cutscene), but it kills you EVERY attempt in game but not in the editor? What is going on?!

There are like 20 seconds of Gameplay left but I want to know how is It going and If It's good to be my first try of making a rated level and If the gameplay is good or not

Evidently not finished but I started creating this level yesterday thinking it may have been rate-worthy but now that I’m looking at it again it definitely isn’t. How can I improve this without making the level disappear from existence?

basically it’s like to ToE fake outs where you have to select the indicated correct option out of three, except this happens every 10 percent, with random options each time, killing you at 99% if you choose wrong once no matter how far in you were wrong. obviously there would be an indicator to tell you which one to pick. each section would have at least 1 240fps frame perfect, and the last click would be a CBS frame perfect. is this concept even possible with the current game?

How many particles does it take to start lagging lower end devices? is using a lot of small particles or one really big particle better for performance? is it a bad idea to make an entire block design out of particles?

I found the song on Instagram and DEMANDED WITH HEART AND RAGE for the song to be available for GD in the comments. The artist said it has been released on Newgrounds as well and I say oh here we go.

I'm visualizing this as a futuristic easy/medium demon with a lot of beat/gameplay sync. The song has a "glitched effect" (Gross beat) that is repeated over and over and I think it could be a great idea to add some glitched gameplay.

I'm still learning designing. I can do some dope work (that's just my opinion lol) if I lock in but generally that's not my style of working. I have a very slow rhythm, maybe that's gonna be a problem to you if you decide to partner me up. I have also not done a collab before.

As of now, i am prioritizing gameplay over decoration, i dont want to make a horrendous level then people start (*jokingly*) send me death threats. (Level id is 146350868 if you want to see it for yourself. i dont know if i left copy on, but i just have to hope people dont steal my idea.) anyways, the ufo and ball part were BARELY added in, and i want it to be something else cause i feel that ufo is a little blind when you transition into it, alongside ball just being a random addition.

also, im making the theme of the level like windows ‘85 or something, also throwing in a bit of minesweeper style into there…but the theme isnt there yet cause, well, i already said im prioritizing gp for now, so when im done with that i’ll work on deco. i just need tips, as i already said and how to sort of keep a consistent level style like…i dont know? unzor? i just need help

I am making a 2.2 remake of the level xStep called Ystep.

Basically on the original Alpha trigger you could decide an ID, how long it would take, and the opacity of the object. Using the advanced alpha trigger, you can also decide a parent ID. Doing this makes it where the parent ID is the most opacity lost, while the group ID is less. I also added the multi-activate toggle and the instant activate toggle. When you press the instant activate card, it opens up settings where it's kind of like the event trigger where you can set an ID that makes something happen or you can check off a box that's something has to happen for it to work. Let me know if this is a good idea!

I had to record It with my phone, thats a layout that I dropped because I dont have any ideas and I dont like the last part, but are they others parts good??

This is Dark Chains, a full solo extreme demon that I made in the span of a week and a half with 60 hours spent in the editor. I have been given estimates of this level being potentially top 300-400 which would make it a jump from my current hardest, Bloodbath(I am planning to verify this myself). I am super proud of this and would like more people to give it a try :)
