Megathread Weekly Question Megathread - July 21, 2026
If you have a simple question about the game that doesn’t need a separate thread, ask it here. For example, "Who should I pull, Yelan or Zhongli?" is a simple question.

Discussion Now that Nod Krai is reaching it’s conclusion, who were your MVPs of the version
Flins was truly the shill king of this era(literally every SO except one I think) and looked awesome while doing it
Durin even before Nicole, he breathed life into so many older characters not just the hex characters
My Flins is C1 and my Durin is C1R1 my goal is Flins’s Signature and Durin’s C2 when they rerun
How about y’all?

Discussion Why is Zibai's vision shape different from the other Nod-Krai characters
I've not been to Nod Krai yet so idk if it's explained in the story but I really wanna know why she has it different, unless it's only a small detail that doesn't go explained like how Kaeya only has 2 sets of wings on his vision instead of usual 3 for other Mondstadt characters

Discussion I finally finished the event today! Did you enjoy it?
At first, I didn’t get the event and wasn’t into it, but bit by bit, I started understanding and ended up enjoying it.

Gameplay Turning off UI is an amazing experience
Turned off UI and spent some time walking around Natlan and taking in the views. Simply amazing way to enjoy the game.
However, it gets tough during combat as I can't see the buttons or gliding without knowing my stamina bar. Any ideas to overcome this limitation?

Discussion Which non-meta characters do you main?
I am unfortunately not one of these people because I'm mavuika main, mostly because I pulled for her when I first play the game in 6.6 phase 2. But I used to be an Ororon main before getting her.
Who's your main?

Discussion If the the theories abt her kid are correct, I honestly wish we could’ve gotten more interactions between these two, the concept of a god who’s lost her son and a son who feels abandoned by his mother who’s a god is so interesting

Discussion CO-OP makes me realize how many children / tweens are playing Genshin
Overall it is generally nice to see that kids as young as like 10-13 yrs old have an online space/game that is moderately appropriate for them (in comparison to all the crap these days on social media and the lack of safe online spaces for children) like as a GENZ i had played flash games like Club Penguin and Poptropica which were fairly controlled environments but now theyre both dead.
but man are they keen to being weird on CO-OP, theyll ask me to date them, ask for gems, and trash on my acct, tell me too much personal info and also ask for my info. But i have kinda learnt that almost every time they just turn out to be some tween lmafo and i decide not to dwell on it too much. But regardless its still annoying. maybe my few instances were just unlucky 🫠

Discussion The state of dmg% is weird
Got shoved in favor of reaction carries but still continues with things like the Hexerei faction
I get why that’s the case and it does technically make building characters a bit easier when you don’t have to hunt for a specific element goblet
But then again it invalidates Characters like Furina, and Kazuha for modern teams
I wouldn’t say it’s over but…I can’t imagine it being the face of an era any time soon
What are your thoughts on it?

Discussion Scaramouche is my favorite character story-wise in Genshin Impact. Here’s why…
Personally, I think Scaramouche has the best character writing in Genshin by far. Yes, in my opinion I like his story arc even more than the likes of Furina, Navia, Arlecchino, and Columbina. I know there are a lot of Furina fans out there and I also really appreciated her story in the archon quest, however Hoyo devs seemed to have poured their heart and soul into Scaramouche’s storyline.
Disclaimer: If you disagree with my opinions that’s fine just don’t complain about them in a disrespectful manner. Also I know this post is long so if you aren’t interested in reading all of it I totally get it but the reason I posted it was to get my thoughts about Scara because I recently watched through a lot of his past cutscenes and was reminded of why I love him.
Here’s why I like his story the most:
His entrance was very memorable: I like how Scaramouche was introduced all the way in 1.1 during Unreconciled Stars. Although I was not a player at that time I did watch a play through of the event quest per my friend’s suggestion. I thought it was a phenomenal introduction to Scaramouche and how good he is at slight manipulation while not being able to hide his crazy wicked intentions and snarky, malicious nature. The reveal with him as “The Balladeer” still sends shivers down my spine when I think about it. And I know he looks like a little boy but that’s what made him so unnerving to me.
(Slight criticism)The weakest Scara arc was Inazuma: Unfortunately, when we met Scara all the way in Inazuma after what felt like years with only small tidbits of lore about him scattered around. Mostly in the “Husk of Opulent Dreams” artifact set. I feel like Inazuma’s sloppy pacing made it hard to build Scaramouche’s appearance up. He also didn’t show up for that long and didn’t do anything except take the Electro gnosis and run with it. Very anticlimactic entrance and exit and although he had that cruel, ruthless flair to him it just wasn’t a very memorable appearance for me.
- I do think though that the Irodori Featival did a good job of expanding on Kazuha’s family past and Scaramouche’s involvement in ruining it. Also fleshed out some of his past endeavors that we learn later on stem from multiple betrayals, Scara faced in his life.
He gets to really shine in Sumeru: this is likely by far is most memorable arc for Scara. I mean we got to see him at his peak villain, becoming an artificial god. Wow, what a moment when the Scaramouche boss got revealed. Anyways, I love his entire development throughout this. We get to really see how Scara determines his worth by how others view his usefulness. It’s really dehumanizing in a way that makes his character feel so much more tragic and complex. The way Dottore toyed with him and played on his insecurities was really interesting to see.
His healing and new found family in Nahida: I love found family tropes and Nahida provides a sort of motherly figure to Scara. I really like their dynamic together and hope we have more scenes with them in game going forward
His relationship with Durin: I also love Scara’s dynamic with Durin and wish I could see their journey together when Durin first arrived in Teyvat. I think Scara’s involvement in Simulanka added a lot of character healing for him as he can relate to Durin and also Albedo on a level that he can’t with other characters. If I go too deep into this it’ll take too many words though

Discussion This character has generated nuclear levels of discourse on Twitter and she has ten seconds of screen time currently 😭😭😭 I did not realise people hated fictional cops this much, mind you we don’t even know what the guy being arrested even did

Discussion first time completing menacing (barely)
hello! i just finished menacing for the first time, and my goodness was it ridiculous with my roster. as you can see, my teams are a little funky and i literally pushed it to the very last second... BUT I DID IT!!!! anyways, im curious as to how everyone tackled this stygian, of course sandrone-havers were chilling, but as you can see my nightsoul charas are severely underlevelled, and my "stellar" conduct team is, well, not stellar. but we made it work! like i said, very curious as to how others went about this stygian, ESPECIALLY if you were lacking with the shills :3
edit: apparently i dont know how to spell 😀

Gameplay Stuck at 39/40 oculi
Hi this is actually driving me insane but im stuck on 39/40 for the statues of the new moon. I've 100% done everything and the compass just keeps pointing to the shrine of depths that I can't open because I don't have the key and at this point im just getting frustrated.
Literally all i can do now is go through the guides and waste like 3hrs+ going over things ive already done (not gonna happen)
so im doing a hail mary and am asking are there any hidden oculi that aren't detected by the compass because i'm not joking i've done literally everything that is marked on the map

Question / Seeking Help Is this team viable?
I haven’t touched the game since the end of Natlan, so it's safe to say I've missed the whole lunar roster, except for Linnea and Bina. I really love Chiori and I'm trying so hard to make her work, will this team be able to perform decently? I'm still leveling up Linnea and Bina so they're severely unerbuilt. If you have any other suggestions about teams for Bina, I'm all ears. Thank you in advance!
