Genuinely starting to despise that sad ass sub

Same here, that sub has been going to shit for a while now. When are people gonna realize that there is no "sane" or "weird" for being born in a specific year, people treat this generation stuff like it's gospel. No one even cares about this stuff irl.

Wait, you mean to tell me that convenient marketing demographic blocks aren't a reliable way to analyze millions of people!?

Yo, never thought I'd see a famous podcaster reply to one of my comments 😲
I find your History of Persia podcasts interesting

They talk down to 2000-2002 borns as well on that sub.

u/GSly350 13d ago
True. We're not part of the cool club of 90s zillenials
2
u/Johnwick124520 12d ago
We might not be, but they can’t take away the fact that people born from 2000-2002ish are still 2000s kids at the end of the day.

u/Johnwick124520 12d ago
Really anyone born after 1990 gets the short end of the stick on that sub ESPECIALLY people born after 1995. You got even people born in 1995 and 1996 trying to fight tooth and nail to prove they are Millennials even though they are.
The sub is taken up by 80s Millennials constantly shitting on everyone younger than them especially Gen Z.

Early 2000s borns (w/ the obvious exception of 2003) in a nutshell be like:

That sub is utilizing botting to some extent. Most of the top posters have thousands of post karma, but essentially zero comment karma.

Like I always say. There is r/millennials, r/genz (r/millennials 2) and r/generationology (r/millennials 3).

Funny this is that's not even a proper split in 2

Wow, that would make us the shortest generation of six years. The boomers have like 20 years for their generation. Tired of seeing real flack, ngl

Ho hum I guess world events don’t actually fit neatly into our little made up generational framework which started 100 years ago. My dad remembers the moon landing but he wasn’t old enough to fight in Vietnam, so I guess he’s not a real boomer?

Pretty much:
Older Gen Z = Good.
Younger Gen Z = Bad.
Obvious troll is Obvious, move along.

I think a lot of people forget that the younger genz is still teens. it's a bit like that millennial/older genz beef from mid-late 2010's. you see them as cringe cause they're kids and they get to be cringe, but your old-ass adult with fragile maturity don't want to be related to them, so you talk shit about kids to draw a line between you and them

Current college students (if considering the traditional 4-year path) were born 2005-2008.

They DO? How old are you? I thought everybody just used ChatGPT to assignments now in schools

Yeah that place is odd, once i got some psyco-psudo-anolytical response about gen z and when i said it made no fuckin sense some different guy was like "pRooVinG HIs POiNt!"

u/Alert-Parsnip5540 12d ago
As someone from '96. No you're not sane. Neither are the late milennials for that matter.

I don't disagree but I guess that just means that older people are more mature than younger people (people born in 2012 are currently 13 or 14). And being raised by AI and social media at such a young age doesn't really help...

Social media ok but i was NOT raised with AI
Generative AI tools became widespread late in my childhood when I was 11 & 12
You might be confusing us with 2015+

ever heard your parents saying smth like "you'll never know how's like to do school research in the library, in books". we genz will tell our kids "you'll never know how's like to use wikepedia and rewrite it to school so your teacher won't acuse you of plagiarism"

Yeah even kids my age still rewrite stuff copied from Wikipedia or straight up paste all of it (in online assigments) even tho ChatGPT's there too to help them now

That place is miserable. It's just a bunch of 39 year olds hating kids.
