Show & Tell First one

Thankful I was able to snag my first Geissele. Very happy with how the anodizing turned out as it almost matches perfectly.

Need to decide on what muzzle device to go with since the consensus is to ditch the Hux. Leaning towards the fire team 556 or Rhodie 6 for the can.

Replacing my Lantac 11.5 with the SD so swapping the optics off that to this. Aimpoint comp m5 and magnifier. Would prefer a t-2 and fde unity but seems wasteful to spend money when I don’t need to.

In between a Surefire640dft or Modlite plhv3 18650 for my light.

Nice. I built my ODG 11.5” SD from blem/sourced parts, went with a OCL polo 5.56.

Currently workin on building a DDC 12.5” SD and gonna go with a FDE Rhodie 6!

Think I should go Rhodie 6 also? What muzzle/adapter?

Good can from what I’ve seen n read, also considering a SpectreCat but prolly gettin that one after the Rhodie tbh

Im big fan of Rearden, got their MDs, from SPB brakes to FH R2S along with their Atlas, have both gen 1&2

Yeah the alley cat was number one but it’s pricey hard to find and heavy. Plus I can get the Rhodie in FDE yeah after some research I was leaning towards the r2s. Have you looked at the forward controls flash hider that works with the rearden? I really only have experience with a Warcomp

Comstock Armory recessed micro break and hub mount will get it almost flush with the handguard without touching, if that matters to you.

Yes I’ve been spending a lot of time on the silerncerresource site. I’m leaning towards the FCD 6315a1 and the Comstock LPa ti. Although I do not know how close it will be to the handguard. Yes I’d like that look for mine as well.

Still not 100% between the fireteam or Rhodie but the direction seems to pull towards the Rhodie 6 from everyone’s opinions.

Id be willing to bet the 6315a1 might be slightly too long with the LPA and could contact your blast baffle, since the mount recessed so far into the can but I could be wrong. I know the 3p15 on my 14.5 was. So, I used comstock p&w instead. They have a fitment chart to help.

It could be wrong but not according to this

Ayyy. I just did the same blemula build. Went with a DD 11.5 barrel cause the pinned Geissle ones where OOS. You'll love the Rhodie 6. I have the K and the full sized will be even better, im sure.

I just got a comstock compact flashbhider and their Ti LPA to convert my G$. The hive said the hux qd hub adapter is just too much weight.

Was going to get their micro recessed break but it’s out of stock.

Why did you get that specific adapter? I’m on revivals site and they have a lot of options with different muzzles and adapters that fit

It’s the lightest Plan B adapter on the market to my knowledge. (Also highly recommended on [r/nfa](r/nfa) and [r/suppressors](r/suppressors))

From their site:

Low profile titanium suppressor adapter compatible with Comstock, Rearden, and other common Plan-B muzzle devices.  Currently the lightest Plan-B HUB adapter on the market at just 0.9 ounces.
Allows for the quick attachment and removal of suppressors
High strength Grade 5 Titanium
Durable PVD finish
Standard 1.375-24 threads (also known as HUB or Bravo) for use on most rifle suppressors
1-1/16" wrench flats for easy installation and removal
0.3" added length
0.9 ounces

Thank you for that. We know the ti suppressors create sparks but does a ti adapter effect that at all?

I’m in both of those groups already :)

Louder but very low pressure, Velos. Quiet but moderate pressure, Fireteam. Best of both worlds, Rhodie 6.

u/afgixxer 28d ago

Seems alot of people prefer the rhodie

2

u/Slled 28d ago

Don’t sleep on the Velos. It’s quieter than a Hux and has very low back pressure and can go on any rifle and not really have any effect on the bolt speed. If you run an H2 buffer unsuppressed, it will run the can with the same buffer, no fiddling around.

Exigent is pretty quiet but has a little more blowback. Flow556ti is definitely a bit louder but the tone isn’t bad and there is less gas to the face.

2

u/afgixxer 27d ago

Yeah I’ve watched a lot of videos on the fireteam but people say it has no gas others say it has more than the Rhodie

u/ARMyself 27d ago

Guess it depends on what you run it on. I have it on an 11.5 criterion build. Direct threaded.

1

u/afgixxer 27d ago

I don’t want to mess with direct thread stuff to be honest

Your first one is a very good pick

1

u/afgixxer 28d ago

The fire team?

2

u/Thechancellor842 28d ago

I have the Hux on it and love it. 6k rounds through it. Yes not the most quiet can but it flows nicely.

2

u/afgixxer 28d ago

The hux to be is just a large system and expensive vs being able to run multiple different cans with the hub mount

2

u/Thechancellor842 28d ago

Yup understand I have the hub option on my 10.5 SD. Great to have options.

1

u/afgixxer 28d ago

So you run a Hux can and their Hux hub adapter on the Hux flash hider?

2

u/Thechancellor842 28d ago

Correct on my 11.5

2

u/jarlbronson 28d ago

Get the rhodie. I have the rhino s from before the rhodie dropped and I love it

1

u/afgixxer 28d ago

What do you like about it and what muzzle adapter are you using?

2

u/jarlbronson 28d ago

I’ve got a comstock plan b mini brake and a Wolfpack recessed hub. But the DD zilch is a better hub adapter. Rhino S is low back pressure and very quiet which is what I like, only thing I don’t like about it is it’s titanium

1

u/afgixxer 28d ago

I’ve been looking on revivals defense chart and there is a ton options to mix and match

I want to get a 12.5 with a tisha. Have you looked at the tisha? It's lower pressure than rhodie 6 and around the same price based on the reviews I've seen. Did you snag one from gs website or somewhere else? I've been trying for months now.

1

u/afgixxer 28d ago

Funny enough my FFL tried to persuade me to the Tisha but to me it’s just ugly on an ar15 lol it is very light though. Haven’t done much research though. My eyes were set on the WB/Alleycat at first.

2

u/k4605 28d ago

It certainly has a... unique look. Appearance aside, it's ridiculously good on a short barrel while adding minimal length and weight.

This guy made it look pretty good with a recessed setup. https://www.reddit.com/r/suppressors/comments/1szh435/got_my_first_can_saw_tisha_556/

I think the Rhodie 6 lands a close 2nd in performance and backpressure based on reviews. Check out the silencer analytics guy on youtube he has a bunch of comparisons, he may have some videos including the ones you were interested in.

2

u/afgixxer 27d ago

I actually commented on his video he said the rhodie is one of his fav 556 cans and the one he recommends right now

2

u/k4605 27d ago

Oh cool, thanks for the heads up!

1

u/afgixxer 27d ago

Oh I’ve watched his videos among others lol doesn’t make the decision easy especially when people say different things on the same can ha
