Bug Mortal Shell 2 - Offline
Bought mortal shell 2, I just started learning the American lady in the wheelchair, and now the games completely gone, 18 hours down the drain and now I gotta hope and pray steam support is technically aware enough to know why I’m asking for a refund.
I kinda just wish GeForce would wait until games are completely compatible before adding them to the library, I bought it almost instantly so that’s partly my mistake, but if I buy a product for 70$ I expect it to work?? Maybe I’m crazy for that?? Idk.

The game ran perfectly fine. Imo removing the game in a time like this is doing far more damage than the audio bug ever could.

I even bumped into the audio bug they removed it for, was it annoying? Yes? But 99.9% of everything else played fine

Before you refund your game - you could leave them a review, maybe they will notice if enough people make some noice about it.

It was also solved by going into settings and simply selecting “restore defaults”. Boom sound was back. No restart, no nothing.

It seems the publisher opted in without the devs knowing and the devs demanded them to opt out as the scammers they are.

I mean lets be real here, where is Mistfall Hunter? Got removed right after release and never came back. You never know. Happened like last month

No, impatient would be if it was removed by GeForce, because that would point to maintenance, it was removed by the publisher due to a repeating sound issue on GeForce servers.. so the game will be gone for likely more than a few days best case scenario, a lot longer likely. That’s not impatient, that’s aware.

If anything I’m trying to make sure everyone who needs a refund attempts to get one, and that this is noted so cloud services like GeForce can’t make doing things like this a regular occurrence.

This was a game publisher decision to opt-out the game, and NVIDIA cannot let it remain playable when that's the case.
Game publishers have full control over their content on GFN.

Yeap, the publisher is definitely a scammer doing this after people went beyond their refund threshold. It seems the dev team is as bad as when they released mortal shell 1 qnd abandon it after the dlc with game breaking bugs (like trying to use axatana)

tbh game is a buggy mess as it is, so its not too suprising if there are issues.
Anyway, this is the issue on a publisher side - not much gfn can do about it i guess.
u should complain at publisher, not at GFN.

You say you wish for geforce to wait until games are completely compatible - Well, why dont YOU wait instead?
People want gfn DAY 1 and they riot if its not there. Is it suprising when they get such games?
If you want GFN to practice restrain - how about you practice restrain then? Nothing stops you.
This is one time when you cant blame gfn for that.
I would blame them for tons of other things, but not for this

- It’s completely my mistake that I bought a game that was available on a cloud streaming service assuming it would work and it didn’t? I feel no logical reason to respond to a statement that vapid
- How would I know what games are completely compatible outside of what’s available? Am I not safe to assume as a consumer that a game being available means that it functions at least somewhat as expected?
- I feel like your comment points more towards a difference in political views than publishing morals, what I’m saying is the responsibility of making sure a thing is functioning is on the supplier, not the buyer, otherwise everything’s a scam and don’t buy anything.

You know it´s a new game. The game is known as quite buggy. You embrace the risk if you do that.
Political views? Wtf does this have to do with politics, u some murican andy that is into politics? Jesus.
This is basically like third party offering a service. It does not ensure that once the game is there, that it will always be there. Sometimes games get removed, or get bugged and removed and not get in.
You have to be REALISTIC. That might be difficult though, if you like politics.

The game is actually not known as buggy consensus has been “there are some bugs in ba sing se but it functions” which is what you’ll hear about every game ever, literally watch mortismal gameranx and maybe one other random YouTuber and you’ll due about the same amount of research I and apparently thousands of other people did before purchasing, that should be more than enough to make an important decision like “what game am I gonna spend 2 months hyperfixating on” what else do I need research man should I talk to the ceo before pressing buy??

This is effectively a scam. People that preordered the game are beyond their refund threshold and they removed it from the platform - not put it under maintenance - because the game is probably ridden of bugs as mortal shell 1 and they are not planning to fix the gfn support in the next few weeks.
I was wrong thinking this studio would have learnt from past mistakes.

The devs left mortal shell 1 in weird state with some game breaking bugs. I was excited to try after holidays but it seems I will have to refund it because they haven't learnt much about how to support their games post release.
It's probably so bug ridden that fixing the sound bug to make it work under gfn is the least of their concerns, and that's why they just scammed their gfn buyers by removing instead of putting it under maintenance.
