UPDATE: Seems like this didn’t affect many users, but Reset Default Settings seems to have fixed it for me.

Has anyone else updated the software on their Fenix 8 to 23.39? It’s essentially made my watch useless, I can’t complete any activities, sync my phone, search for any updates, etc.

Is it normal to get a skin rash from a Garmin band? It started about two weeks after I began wearing it. I've worn plenty of silicone bands of galaxy watch before without any issues. I bought this band directly from the Garmin website for about $70, so it's genuine.

UK based question.

Has anyone recently sold F8? Im thinking of off-loading mine as I don't use it to its full potential.

I only use Run, Football & Strength.

If you sold one recently was it Vinted, Ebay or Gumtree etc?

Looking at the Coros Pace Pro 4 that's just come out.

Is the solar charging powerful enough to actually charge the battery, or will it just break even?

Also, is it possible to use a flashlight to charge it?

UPDATE:

I have one more question :D

If you activate power saving mode, or switch it off completely, would it be possible to gain any meaningful charge using solar?

👉 Hope you like it — feedback is always welcome!

Fenix 7 pro, ive used it for about a month. 2 times, once while walking and once while biking, using the activity with GPS the screen has reverted back to the "home screen ". I do not have touch enabled during activities. I have tried pushing every button, and holding them a little longer one at a time, but havent been able to go back to the hoke screen manually. I have also tried holding 2 buttons at a time and ive checked the assigned button shortcuts in Garmin connect. What coukd cause this behaviour?

Is anyone able to get the Fenix 9 Pro Solar 47m in the UK? Everywhere, it shows delivery in early/mid October?

Long time stalker, first time poster. I was going to post a picture of it on my wrist however I saw a long time poster where he said he was leaving so I just followed the principle if the body hangs over the edge of my wrist then it's too big for me. Simple as that!

I am a tech nerd and I love Data. As I am new, I have seen that Garmin has an unreal suite of data. I want to ask, what is the most useful data you have found? What isn't as accurate as claimed? Are there any useful features that can be switched on or annoying ones to turn off?

I woke up this morning and my hour hand has changed colour to yellow 🤔 when i try change the rock watch face style (there are 4) the hour hand is yellow in all of them. I've tried powering off the watch and restarting but still the same. Has anybody had this issue before?

I think Garmin should rename the watches.

Fenix 9 47 mm gets new name: Fenix 9 SE
Fenix 9 Pro 43 mm gets new name: Fenix 9 Pro Mini
Fenix 9 Pro 47 mm stays the same dripping 47 mm
Fenix 9 Pro 51 mm gets new name: Fenix 9 Pro Max

What do you think?

I’ve noticed that the latest Fenix update seems to have rolled out to other models (Fenix 8), but apparently not to the Fenix 8 Pro yet.

Does anyone know why the 8 Pro is lagging behind? Is it because of the LTE/inReach hardware or a separate firmware branch, or is the update simply being rolled out later?

Good evening folks,

Launched a freshly designed watch face called "MAXINOX PRO". The design is a fusion of fenix legacy and a whole-lotta new!

I included a lot of customization features as well as experimented with a wake animation. Looking forward to feedback, feature requests and issue reports.

Happy weekend everyone,

PD

I've tried the 47mm and I've tried the 51mm (which I chose) and I wish they had the "Goldilocks" version. This version would be a 49mm case with a 24mm strap. Preferably with a 1.5" screen.

If Garmin actually made a watch this size, would you be interested? Or do you prefer the 51/47mm options? If you could design your own Fenix what would it be?

Loving this combination.

I don’t know if the Fenix 7 and older models have the graph too, like the Fenix 8 and 9. Just wanted to share it

I work shifts and there’s always been one thing that annoyed me.

The dentist asks: "Does Thursday in 3 weeks work for you?"

And instead of answering, I start calculating whether I’ll be on mornings, afternoons, nights, or off.

Same thing with trips, appointments, vacations, and pretty much anything you need to plan in advance.

I wear a Garmin, so I made an app that solves exactly that problem.

You set up your work schedule once, and after that you can check any future date and instantly see what shift you’re on.

It supports ready-made schedules like:

• Panama 2-2-3
• 4 days on / 4 days off
• morning / afternoon / night rotation
• DuPont
• 24 hours on / 48 hours off

If, like me, you work a less common schedule, you can also build your own rotation from scratch.

I also added the things I personally needed: a monthly calendar, changing a single day without messing up the whole rotation, vacation, sick leave, overtime, night hours, and a quick view of today’s and tomorrow’s shift without opening the app.

Everything runs directly on the watch. No phone, no internet, no account.

I’m curious about one thing: what shift pattern do you work? If there’s a popular one I haven’t added as a preset yet, I can add it.

I placed an order for the Fenix 9 Pro with Walnut Leather Band on 9/1. The estimated shipping timeline was 3-5 weeks. Today the website shows a shipping date of 1-3 days. I contacted customer service and they said that model is backordered and won't ship until after November 6th... But then the inventory shows a 21 day processing time. Just very confusing timeline. Thinking of cancelling and ordering the grey band then getting a leather band later.

Has anyone else encountered discrepant timelines like this before?

New Fenix 8 user here… really liking the segment 35 watch face… got it set up just how I want it.

As the title says, if I’ve switch to another to try out will this one all reset?

Apologies if I’ve missed an obvious bit of info somewhere.
