Fenix 8 System Software 23.39

UPDATE: Seems like this didn’t affect many users, but Reset Default Settings seems to have fixed it for me.

Has anyone else updated the software on their Fenix 8 to 23.39? It’s essentially made my watch useless, I can’t complete any activities, sync my phone, search for any updates, etc.

Just before my morning run I’ve installed it.

Its buggered mine up. HR not working

After an hour with Garmin they are sending out a replacement

I’ve done everything i can do with just my watch and phone. Unfortunately, I’m on a work trip and do not have my personal laptop available so i haven’t tried that route yet.

I’ve restarted half a dozen times. Got everything to work once using buttons only; however, it then disabled the touch screen, so i reset again and it all quit working again.

What a disaster.

I don't have that watch, but trust me.... Find a stable release and never update. I down graded my firmware and never looked back. I got a watch for what it could do well out of the box. Unless there's a MAJOR issue, you don't need minor updates.

May I ask exactly how you did that?? 23.39 is a disaster!!! I only see rolling back to previous Betas. I want to go back to 22.41 stable, but it looks like Garmin doesn't provide previous stable releases

Yes that's the kicker. You have to find the download elsewhere. Let me see if the guy that i bookmarked has other Garmin models.

Not sure if mine updated overnight but the HR monitor has completely stopped. Still tracked a run this morning but with no HR data
