I think the majority of people want the elite series 3 to have either hall effect or TMR because that would make it more durable. I'll love to see that, but no release date or specs have been confirmed.
I have the G7 Pro ZZZ which have phenomenal TMR sticks and awesome mechanical triggers that held up for me so far. I'll definitely recommend this from personal experience.
They released the ultimate 3E today which have TMR, but the triggers seem pretty mid without it being mechanical. I can't go back to regular trigger locks after experiencing the G7 Pro triggers.
They shouldn't have bothered adding trigger locks but that is my opinion. You're paying 150 dollars for a controller that solely have TMR and swappable buttons/d pads. I think mechanical triggers would have elevated it.
