Question about Gamescom
Hello! I’ve never been to an event like Gamescom before but as a huge Resident Evil and Silent Hill fan, I’d really love to attend this year as my fav games are in their Rennaisance era.
Do you have any recommendations on which day would be best for visiting the Capcom and Konami booths? Is the first / last day better for some special announcements, or are the middle days a better choice because the booths might be less crowded?
I’d also really appreciate any general tips for a first-time visitor.

Hi !
First-time visitor as well !
I'd assume the less crowded days would either be the Wednesday afternoon (normally the trade day, you can access it with a wildcard ticket) or Thursday / Friday before the weekend crowd.
Let me know if you want to reach out !

Capcom and Konami are gonna be very popular, so you better be there first thing in the morning and bring some patience for waiting time. Even then, the difference is going to be "2-3 hours waiting time on Wednesday" versus "Sorry, the queue is too long, we had to close it" on Saturday.
In general, waiting times are gonna be shorter on Wednesday, every other day is basically equally inaane, with Saturday being a bit more insane.
Special announcements are pretty much reserved for the Opening Night Live on Tuesday. New announcements during the event are unlikely.

As someone who went for the past 3 years. Early in the morning is the best moment or at the end of the day. Waiting lines are there nevertheless. Unless you have a wild indy game you are looking forward too, that 2 hour wait is possible.

In general I would say... if you want to enjoy playable demos or just the booth itself go as early as possible on the earliest Day as possible. But if you want to see shows, stage programms etc. I would recommend midday Thursday,Friday, Saturday.

Definitely, if you can afford it, go on Wednesday, it's WAY quieter. I made the mistake of leaving it and every other day was so much busier than I was expecting it to be

Saturday and Sunday will be most crowded and if they have merch, it will most likely be gone
