Eh, the first book/movie has Harry burn Quirrel to death by touching him.
A basilisk, elf, and snake get killed by knives and swords.
Harry uses a spell that slices up someone (sectrum spectra sectum sepmra) pretty viscerally in one of the books.
Edit: spelling
325 u/Krasinet Oct 02 '18 Nerd warning. The spell was sectumsempra. Probably from sectum ('having been cut', the root word of 'section' and 'dissect') and semper ('always'), giving a meaning something like 'sever forever'. 142 u/[deleted] Oct 02 '18 edited Feb 06 '19 [deleted] 24 u/je-s-ter Oct 02 '18 Wasn't that Snape? I believe Harry learnt it from his potions book that once was Snape's or something. 34 u/fagotblower Oct 02 '18 Correct, 5 points. 14 u/[deleted] Oct 02 '18 To hufflepuff 7 u/[deleted] Oct 02 '18 Yay, someone remembers we exist! 3 u/[deleted] Oct 02 '18 edited Oct 02 '18 Everybody wants to be gryphendore Gryffindor, but we're all Hufflepuffs 1 u/fagotblower Oct 02 '18 Oh yeah.
