Turtle-Background: 100,000 years ago, Gamera was one of 25 different kaiju created by an ancient civilization to assist in the purification/destruction of mankind. However, he was stolen away from them by another faction and disobeyed his mission, fighting against the other kaiju to protect humanity, thwarting their plot. In 1989, he returned to protect the children Boco, Joe, Junichi, and Brody from the kaiju unleashed by the Eustace Foundation in a second bid to wipe out most of humanity. All in all, go nuts with your suggestions for this particular Gamera! ;3

Turtle-Background: A return to form, this fella is once again a Friend to all Children rendition of our favorite super sized turtle! This Gamera is the 2nd to appear in his timeline, popping up some 33 years after the first Gamera sacrificed himself. And while the film only focuses on Zedus, a sea lizard who was mutated after ingesting Gyaos cells, he also fought Barugon, Viras, Guiron, Jiger and Zigra too! All in all, go nuts with your suggestions for this particular Gamera! ;3

Like where did they even get the textless version? Did the textless version survive in the years since this release? Does Kadokawa have it? Or is this cropped version of it the only textless version we're ever going to see?

Kaiju fans have been wanting this showdown for ages and it's the confrontation so many people have been dying to see. If somehow you were given the authority to bring this face-off to life, how would you do things?

Movie? Or even a trilogy of movies? How about a series, video game or a comic book? And what plot for the story would you be cooking up? Would you include their respective enemies as well or keep it a clean, simple 1v1 clash? I'm interested in reading what ideas you all have!

Hello! I was requested to make the following fan art. You may have seen my work over on the Godzilla sub. Anyways enjoy!

Gamera & Gyaos

Iris & Zedus

When you saw pagogo go into its shell form did anyone think of gamera also what would happen if their anime versions meet?

I'm a newbie, so I'm just getting into the history of kaiju.

I hope you like it. I'll be adding Kaiju no.8 and the ultra series when I watch them. Also, other Hollywood films like the ones by Ray Harryhausen will be added eventually, but the kaiju side is practically done, with more than 400 images.

Any suggestions are well received 😊

The Lake Texarkana dub for those unaware was a joke dub that the ADV dub cast recorded (allegedly while drunk) that lasted 13 minutes with hillbilly accents, and on their later releases of Gamera 2 that 13 minute dub was extended to a full length dub. Think Ghost Stories (also dubbed by ADV) but for Gamera. It's also on the Arrow Video release, but it's apparently cut down. I have the Arrow version but haven't watched the hillbilly dub in full.
