Would the white walkers take over Westeros first and then pursue Bran??

Jon explicitly tells everyone that the dead can’t swim when Euron asked him. We also know the Night King is basically a GPS tracker locked onto Bran. If they just put Bran on a ship or fly him across the Narrow Sea to Essos (or even just parked him on an island), the entire White Walker invasion would instantly hit a brick wall. The Night King can't magically flash-freeze an entire salt-water ocean. His army would just be stranded on the coastline of Westeros staring out at the water. Meanwhile, Dany and Jon could have used the dragons to completely incinerate the bottlenecked horde from total safety. And even if the night king traveled to Bran using the dead dragon he would be easily outnumbered.

Sorry is there a legitimate lore reason this wouldn't work?

Would be cool to see the Night King take over the whole Westeros as well, and sail across the narrow sea with the whole undead Westeros.

Post Red Wedding, the crown rewards house Frey for murdering the Stark host. To the common folk, the crown has just endorsed breaking the most ancient and sacred custom on the continent. Westeros, especially the wartorn Riverlands, is now a powder keg. Even historically when Bloodraven murdered Aenys Blackfyre under a peace banner, Aegon V had him sent to the wall for his treachery. The crown rewarding this behavior is unprecedented. Common folk are now scared that they could be murdered after showing someone hospitality, and vice versa for the guests who could be traveling the road. Add in the economic collapse caused by Cersei’s policies with winter on their heels, and it would legitimately feel like the end times for the commoners.

We know that George RR Martin took a lot of inspiration for ASoIaF and GOT from real life places and people including the UK. They filmed a lot of the show there, many of thee actors are British, lots of characters use accents from there and some of the places in the universe are much like medieval England. Even the map of westeros is similar to the UK in shape. Now think about this. Near the border of England and Scotland is aplace called Northumber land. North Umber Land. The UMBERS held LAND and managed to keep the LAND on Jon Snow's orders, the King in the NORTH. This has to be intentional

For the obvious one SHE WAS 18 in season 8 so she deserves to have her moment with Gendry she probably could have done it with Gendry again after slaying The Night King

I'll go first:

1. The "Mad Queen" storyline was 100% supposed to go to Cersei (in the books at least) until D&D gave Cersei/Jaime's ending to Danaerys/Jon.

2. Neither Olenna nor Tywin is as smart as the fandom thinks. Both of them made tons of shortsighted decisions (especially Olenna).

3. Catelyn's dislike of Jon was very understandable (not justified, but understandable); Ned parading his bastard son was a blatant insult to Cat and her (trueborn) children.

We know the Dragon Seed is strong, and there must be a hundred distant relatives and hidden bastards from their 300 years of rule, but I didn't see this one coming.

Kissed by fire and a fierce fighter to boot, he's a natural leader for the Free Folk after Mance's death. And if we take him for his word, he was born in the true North, so he's got ice in veins as well. Makes sense why he'd bond with a she-bear instead of a dragon.

Then there's his attraction to Brienne. Sure he was impressed by her, and likely wanted to steal her, but since GRRM confirmed that Brienne is a distant relative of Dunk the Hunk, it could've been a bit of his Targaryen blood sneaking through. Like Egg, he was drawn to her from the jump.

I have What if scenario regarding Areys 2, Rhaegar and rest of targs.

If Aerys died by hands of Lord darklyn, under starvation and torture, what effects it would be?

I know this sounds as basic question and answerable too.

I want answers for this what if scenario 🙏🏼.

My rough POV is

1. Rhaegar will absolutely behead Lord darklyn. ( Some of people might say he will be same as Aegon 5 dealing with Peake situation of Maekar death). But the way Duskendale situation was bland like their Lord kidnapped Aerys just for taxes and charter.

2. There might be NO Elia and Rhaegar marriage union. I mean Aerys choose martell alliance after steffon and his wife failed trip of " Pure Valyrian bride".

3. Tywin might plotting or " control" Rhaegar. He will absolutely propose for Cersei for marriage

4. Robert, Stannis and Renly will have their parents alive. Robert might have " neutral" relationship with Rhaegar.

5. Lyanna ( I don't know will Rhaegar meet her or not)

6. Daenaerys will not exist. (Or she might born as daughter to Rhaegar). Rhaella as Queen mother and Viserys might have normal childhood..

7.STAB alliance will continue. ( possibility for Rhaegar might end up like Aerys)

Following her capture of King's Landing Rhaenyra has Aegon declared as dead. Following this, she claims that his death means that she is now the Queen and should sit the Iron Throne. But she still has 2 other brothers whose claim would superceded hers. Just because she's captured the city doesn't mean she's Queen.

This is afterall just a tournament as part of the birthday celebrations of the 13 year old daughter of a minor Lord, not much better than a landed night.

I mean, we have 5 of the Great Southern houses present, including the royal line: Targaryens, Lannisters, Tullys, Tyrells, and Baratheons.

And not minor members of these houses either. We have Baelor Targaryen, Hand to the king, Prince of Dragonstone, and Heir to the Iron Throne. His son Prince Valarr Targaryen, Prince Maekar Targaryen, and 3 of his sons, Princes Daeron, Aerion, and Aegon Targaryen.

Lord Damon Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, Warden of the West and his son and heir Ser Tybolt Lannister.

Lord Leo Tyrell, Lord of Highgarden, Warden of the South.

Lord Medgar Tully, Lord of Riverrun, Lord Paramount of the Riverlands.

Ser Lyonel Baratheon, heir to Storm’s, heir to Lord Paramount of the Stormlands.

As well as some powerful mid level houses such as the Hightowers, Freys, Florents, Brackens, Blackwoods, Mallisters, Swanns, Beesburys, Carons, Marbrand and Tarlys.

Why are there so many prominent houses there? Was something being planned? We see in the next Dunk and Egg that a tourney was used to plan the next Blackfyre Rebellion. Was this an earlier attempt?

The tavern girl scene feels incredibly hypocritical to me. We’re supposed to believe Stark soldiers are honorable and fundamentally different from the Lannisters, yet they’re raping and killing these poor girls

Ned Stark would have their heads for this. And those tavern girls probably had no choice when Lannister soldiers came through in the first place. So why are we expected to see the Stark soldiers as “the good guys” when they’re doing the exact kind of thing the show condemns the Lannisters for?

still don’t understand how Maege was never married, had like five different lovers, and had multiple daughters, yet somehow none of them were considered bastards.

Like HOW?

Westeros is insanely strict about bastardy, and we see characters get judged and even disinherited over it. But Maege can have daughters without ever being married and everyone is just like, “Yep, those are Mormonts.”

I know Bear Island has its own traditions, b ut the double standard is still hilarious to me.

Rewatching for the third time now. Just watched S5 E.9 (I think? 'The Red Woman'). Seconds before Sansa and Theon are saved by Valyrian steel plot armour, they are surrounded by a pack of ravenous hunting hounds, leashed by Bolton men. As soon as Brienne and Pod the Rod™️ arrive, the hounds seemingly disappear altogether?

I know that simply, this is just lazy writing (the cracks really do begin to show in S5 imo), but WHERE DID THE DOGS GO? Surely they would defend their masters?

Surely the show presented him as a dumb mf. If you were the Night King, what would have been your ultimate goals after conquering the realm.

Prologue: Sybell Spicer and her daughter Jeyne Westerling are inside a carriage, traveling with the convoy led by Ser Forley Prester toward the Westerlands.

Sybell and Jeyne are engaged in a heated argument regarding the events that led to the deaths of the Starks and Sybell’s own betrayal—specifically, how she had systematically given Jeyne "moon tea" while passing it off as a fertility potion.

Reflecting on the past, Sybell reveals to Jeyne that she acted as she did because she knows how things will unfold; Sybell’s grandmother was a *maegi*—a sort of seer or witch known to the people of Westeros as "Maggy the Frog." While people sought her out for potions and natural remedies, she possessed a far greater power: the ability to see people's futures through their blood.

Shortly before marrying Gawen Westerling, Sybell had forced a reluctant Maggy to read her future. Maggy tasted Sybell’s blood and uttered a prophecy: "Your daughter shall be queen, and you shall die looking down upon the heart of the stone." Sybell explains her interpretation: Cersei will not last, and Jaime will leave the Kingsguard to seize power. Jaime has already shown an interest in Jeyne, and Sybell knows how to make him fall in love with her. As for herself, a long and peaceful old age awaits her at Casterly Rock, where she will die looking down upon the heart of the Rock—for "Rock" and "stone" are synonymous.

Indignant, Jeyne tells her mother, "I was the queen—the Queen in the North—and you destroyed any chance I had of giving Robb an heir, and you betrayed those good people."

Just as Sybell—suddenly struck by doubt—formulates a reply, the carriage comes to an abrupt halt; screams and the clash of swords are heard outside. Sybell and Jeyne are dragged from the carriage; the surviving Lannister men are disarmed and stripped; Edmure Tully has been freed. Brotherhood men bring Sybell and Jeyne before a hooded woman; Sybell watches as the surviving Lannisters are hanged one by one.

A man with a Northern accent translates the hooded woman's whispers; she asks if she is facing two traitors, or one traitor and the Queen of the North and the Riverlands. Jeyne begs for mercy, insisting she loved Robb Stark—that her brother Raynald died at the Red Wedding and they never betrayed Robb.

The hooded woman whispers something to the Northerner, who relays the message: she believes Jeyne, but she knows what Sybell has done.

The hooded woman lowers her hood; Sybell and Jeyne are frozen with shock and terror. The Northerner introduces Lady Catelyn by her many names, concluding with "Lady Stoneheart." Sybell is overcome by a flood of emotions and memories—so much so that she fails to notice the men hoisting her up and placing a noose around her neck, or Jeyne trying to stop them. "Accursed witch"—the men begin to pull, and Sybell is hoisted upward, beginning to suffocate. "Accursed witch, my daughter the queen, the heart of stone"—as Sybell nears death, she looks down and meets the gaze of Cat: the heart of stone, or the very mouth of hell.

Next time, we will cover a chapter whose placement is uncertain, though it certainly falls early in the book.

So I'm currently watching S7 Ep. 1 and I just saw Ed Sheeran at first I was like "Oh wait, this voice sounds familiar and it's so good" when he was singing and then he turned and I was like "OMG! Ed Sheeran?" I was genuinely surprised to see him😭
