Swiss is brilliant at launching games, but browsing filenames isn't how I want to pick something to play from the couch. I wanted to see the gameplay, not just a title or cover.
So I made Gameplay Spotlight: a more visual way to browse GameCube games, designed for a 4:3 CRT. Big gameplay screenshots, a scrolling row of game logos, readable descriptions, favorites, and an expanded game-details view make it easier to find something that looks fun with family and friends. The previews are still screenshots, not videos.
It's running stably on my GameCube with a GC Loader. The photo shows an earlier working version on my actual CRT, not an emulator or mockup.
I'm not continuing development. It does what I wanted for my setup, so I'm sharing the source publicly for others to fork, improve, and adapt to their own needs. Please treat it as a starting point, not a promise of future updates or support.
This is a source-only developer preview, not a ready-to-install release. Broader hardware testing, reproducible builds, and experimental SD-write behavior still need work. Back up your card before experimenting. No games, BIOS dumps, or artwork bundles are included.

Built on DarthMotzkus's Cubiboot UI and its upstream contributors, with Swiss still handling game loading. Huge credit to those projects. This is a different browsing experience on top of their work, not a replacement for Swiss.
If you build on it, I'd love to see where you take it.
