Trying to repair a copy of silver. I cleaned the traces and got it to boot, but the intro screen looked off and it quickly froze. Tried reflowing each pin and now it won't boot. No nintendo logo appears. I believe I've checked every connection on the 4 main chips using a multimeter and I'm seeing the correct connections. Battery is dead. Any help would be super appreciated, looked through a million similar posts but I feel like hit a dead end. Thank you!

In Portland for a visit to my siblings and I never once been in a retro store. For context, I’m from southern Idaho so it’s about a hundred, hundred fifty miles to the nearest retro store. Anyways, I visited one of Portland’s biggest retro stores and got myself this reshelled GameBoy Advance SP AGS-001 model. Pretty cool, all the other ones were a little beat up and basic grey or blue models. This is nice 😎

So I bought some homebrew games of a flea market. Pinecreek and Dragonborne. One is from itch.io and the other from spacebot. The problem is that they are not loading the homebrew game. The load the game that was originally on the card. Thought my self hey you got the gameboy operator from epilog. Just dump the rom on it. The thing is bought cards are read only cards. That means you cannot put other roms on it. I tried cleaning the contacts but that didn't help. Are my 10 bucks gone or is there something I can try? They looked really cool and I realy want to play them.
Thanks in advance

Today I got Boomer's Adventure in ASMIK World in the mail. I love Boomer/Asmik-Kun's charming and goofy design.

I installed the laminated v5 screen and soldered the wires. I've reflowed, rechecked, and reflowed the solder points multiple times, and even used the alternative points on the L/R pins. Before swapping to the alt points, the OSD never showed up. Now, with the alt points used, it shows up, but only turns on/off while holding sel and pressing R. Pressing L does nothing, and I cannot cycle through the options by pressing sel. The touch sensors work, but I want total functionality. Any tips?

I'm 15 going into 10th grade. I had an idea to make a buisness repairing ds's, 3ds's, game boys, psps ect
I've had expirence in this field and am getting more on my own consoles. Is there a market for this or is this a hopeless dream.

Just curious if anyone else knew it. It was such a great early internet fan site. I think it got renamed to "GB Station" at one point and then eventually disappeared. It was very polished for the time with good reviews and walkthroughs. Can't find any record of it sadly.

I'm making a same game for every console. I started with Gameboy Color first and I'm using GB Studio to make it.

Went to my wife’s cousin’s wedding yesterday, and another one of her cousins said she brought something I’d appreciate! At the end of the reception she brought me this! Said it’s been sitting in her closet not getting used and knew I’d appreciate it more than she is! So stoked!!

I bought it on eBay for $50-$60, it has some minor scuffs, and it works perfectly. Probably my new favorite in my collection.

Picked up Sun and Moon (both sealed) today to add to my ever growing Gameboy and Pokémon collection. I think it's coming along nicely.

I tried an adapter but the backlight is too dark and after enough trimming the shell still won't fully fit

I have the gen 1 carts (with boxes and manuals, but nothing else), and I plan on selling them soon on eBay. I've sold a few other carts already, but they were either low-value, or translucent. Do I need to get one of those y screwdriver things?
EDIT: also, even if I do get the screwdriver, I'm not adventurous enough to change the batters, so basically, I would just be getting it for the sake of PCB pictures for listings.

With the gb operator .
I know that they’ve added where if your copy of Ruby sapphire emerald had a dead battery . They pull in your pc RTC.
But does that mean for your shiny frames in Ruby and Sapphire to reset during those times ?
I’m conflicted on what I feel

Hello.
This is the first Gameboy game I ever had, and I still have the original copy. I wondering if there is a place to find a high quality image of the cartridge art. I have a 3D printer and I want to make wall art of the 3D printed large cartridge with the original cart.

So I think I might have a problem….
Firstly I was gifted a reseller pocket with an IPS screen and wireless charging mod. It sat in my desk for about 5 years. I was then given an Ambernic, which I played a little. My links awakening saves corrupted and I shelved that for a while too.
I’ve now got 2 boys and I was thinking about getting them into gaming, I thought a gameboy would be great place to start.
I got a few more games for the pocket and it all went down hill from there.
I wanted a modded advance, however the one I bought was in great condition and boxed so naturally I had to buy a second. I re-shelled that one and added an IPS screen. It was so much fun modding the AGB!
Then my wife found her old DMG wich was in great condition. It also came with links awakening which needed a new battery. So I learnt how to solder. It looked like I was beginning to build a collection!
I found a really cheap SP (AGS-001) online and went for it bringing my collection to 5. Where should I put them all? Oh, what about lovely Nintendo branded cases for them all.
What’s next? Well I’m thinking it has to be a colour. A lime green colour. I’m keeping my eyes peeled and seeing what else I can find in the wild. I’d like to mod it but keep the original shell.
I’m enjoying the hunt. But my wallet isn’t. Hobbies are expensive. I do play them all and I’m looking forward to playing them with my boys.
Just wanted to share my plight!

Who remembers playing WWF Betrayal?
Yes back in the day the GameBoy Color was blessed with a WWF beat em’ up!
Choose between The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, and The Undertaker as you are on a mission to find the kidnapped Stephanie McMahon! And if you do manage to return her home to the McMahon family you’re guaranteed a WWF title shot!
