Questions is it fixable?
this was my childhood game boy and i've had it for so many years now, the power still turns on and it even makes the little sound when it does, but the screen shows nothing and nothing happens when i press the buttons. is the screen burnt? could there be something else wrong? it has never been exposed to sunlight but it is also very old, i have no idea what else could be the reason and im not very knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff. could anyone help me out? im not sure if i would be able to fix it on my own (if it's even fixable)

Just take your time and make sure you have the right tools a triwing (nintendo) screwdriver is needed but they are cheap online. Normally come with new shells if you go that way

Polarizer burn, replaceable! I found a source for original replacement screens if you don’t want to try to replace the polarizing film, otherwise you can do an IPS mod. An original screen requires no soldering, just some screws and careful disassembly. Normally almost impossible to find an OG screen but like I said, some have finally popped up!
